Love me some fey queen jenna!! What a quirky hot bad biotch!!!! Loved her and her hot men damien and Lucas!! can you say hot and sexy as sin!!! What a awesome read i love so many of these characters!!when Khan kidnaps Jenna from her home the Cordell twins along with the vampire king himself and the iron wolves will stop at nothing to save jenna!! Theirs plenty of hot sexy scenes and action for our band of lovers, friends and family and not all is what it seems!!! Fastin your seat belts and get ready for one of a ride as only Elle boon can deliver!!! This chic knows how to knock it out of the park!!

I’ve read a few Elle Boon books, and it seems to me I favour her contemporary work over her paranormal. It’s not often such a thing happens, as paranormal romance was my gateway drug into the romance genre, yet it has happened with a few authors. Based upon my feelings towards the Elle Boon paranormal romance books I have read, I think it is safe to say such is the case here.
It’s not that I dislike Elle Boon’s paranormal romance, I simply have not enjoyed them as much as I have enjoyed her contemporary romance. Although the storylines in both Elle Boon’s paranormal and contemporary reads are gripping, I find them to be more so in her contemporary work. Although the characters are great in both her paranormal and contemporary work, I find myself favouring the characters in her contemporary work. Although we are given action in both the paranormal and contemporary books, I find myself enjoying the action in the contemporary books more. It’s just a personal preference, but in my mind Elle Boon’s contemporary books are her stronger books.
Of the Elle Boon books I have read, it is safe to say Dark Embrace is my least favourite read. I was not sucked into the story as much as I had hoped to be, and there were times when I wasn’t interested in the story at all. There were some good moments in this book, but not enough for me to rate this book any higher than the three-stars I gave it.
Dark Embrace may be the first book in the Dark Legacy series, but quite a lot of the references will be lost if you have not read the Iron Wolves MC series. In fact, book seven, Turo’s Fated Mate, is especially important if you want to understand Dark Embrace. As I have not read all of the Iron Wolves MC series, I felt somewhat lost when reading Turo’s Fated Mate, and the feeling of being stranded remained when I stared to read Dark Embrace. I had some knowledge, through reading Turo’s Fated Mate, but nowhere near enough. It’s a spinoff series that relies heavily upon other Elle Boon books, meaning this series will appeal heavily to her long-term fans and may not be the best place for new readers.
You can dive into this series as a standalone, though, if you’re brave. Not every detail will be a mystery, but enough will be. While this did contribute to some of my inability to get into this book, the bigger issue I had was with the characters. I’m sure many will enjoy the characters, but I just could not get into their story. Mostly it was their way of speaking. I couldn’t wrap my head around an all-powerful supernatural creature speaking like a teenager through text. I found myself unable to connect with our female lead because of this, and through that I never felt much towards many of the characters. Some will enjoy her unique ways, but I found myself put off by it.
Overall, this was an okay read. If you’re a fan of Elle Boon’s prior paranormal work, then I’m sure you’ll enjoy this new series. Personally, I’ll probably stick to her contemporary work in the future.

Readers of Elle Boon have been highly anticipating Jennaveve's story. And, Elle Boon did nothing but make me smile as the Cordell twins finally claim the woman that they have been waiting for. Then she added new characters that will certainly play big parts in the upcoming Dark Legacy Series.
Like usual, Elle brought a little bit of laughter, a whole lot of drama and, finally the mating. You knew that Jenna, no matter the situation, would make light of everything around her … I don't think she has it in her to be serious. As for the drama … you can't get any more dramatic than Jenna's kidnapping; Kahn; the Jagertroppen; Creed and Liv; a fight to the finish with a woman who has a pact with Satan himself but was doing nothing but double-crossing him. I'm not sure but, to me, that's a whole lot of action and drama. And, the mating … it was beautiful and more than I expected it to be. Of course, they kept getting interrupted by dragons, Damikan and, of course, bestie Kellan.
As Jenna becomes “more” and Damien and Lucas know the pleasure and completeness of finally having their Hearts Love, the Goddess makes herself known and bestows her blessing on them but warns of things to come. And come they did …
Elle did a wonderful job of finally giving us the story that we were all waiting for. As always, the story flowed from one scene to another without you feeling like there was something missing. Her dialogue is always interesting and fun – no matter the situation. Her characters are marvelously written. And, the surprise ending … good luck with topping that one!

Waiting for Jenna's book was well worth it. Not only was the story of Jenna, Lucas and Damien wonderful and adventures, it was full of mystery and intrigue. Branching off of her Iron Wolves , Elle Boon has created a new world. With this story you are introduced to many more characters whom you will be begging for their happy endings also. I was stunned by so many twists and turns that were occurring. I loved being kept on my toes and this book most definitely did that. I was finally able to see our beloved Fey Queen and her Wolpires unite. I found new friends and family and I revisted some of my favorite old friends and family. I laughed a lot. I worried. I got angry. In the end though as always I had a awesome ride through one of my favorite places to visit. You can't go wrong in Ms. Boon's paranormal universe. Read in one sitting.

Dark Embrace is an outstanding beginning to a Elle Boon new series!! Jenna and the Cordell Twins long awaited book does not disappoint!!! Elle Boon brings together the trio in only the way she can. Their story is super hot, sexy and passionate. Along with the heat of the magical trio, there are some of the other much loved Elle Boon characters in this book that make it such a joy to read. A must read for the Elle Boon and paranormal fan. JUST DON'T LOOK DOWN!!!!!!!

A Fey queen and two wolpire (part wolf shifter and part vampire) princes coupled with a unique style of writing create quite an interesting read. While this is the first in the series (and the first Elle Boon book I've ever read), I would strongly suggest that you read the series before this book in order to fully understand all the elements of the story and enjoy some of the world building.

I received this as an ARC for my honest review. Well darlings let me tell you this book is off the charts good. I mean I absolutely loved this book. It's freaking spectacular. Heart stopping, spellbinding, hold on to the edge of your seat good. This is Jenna and the Cordell brothers story. (AKA) the wolfpires. After the last battle Jenna finds herself in the clutches of her soon to be mates right where she wants to be. When she is taken right out from under the twins noises. Another enemy has emerged and this one has a personal vendetta against Lucas and Damien and is planning on using Jenna to do it. When the truth comes out and the air is cleared there will be one evil crone to battle. Can Jenna and her mates come together to destroy the evil that wants to tear this family apart? They will have to call on old friends to help them. When it comes down to it will Lucas and Damien be able to save their hearts love? Or will it be Jenna saving her mates? Omg y'all I can't tell you how good this book was. I love the world that this author has created I can't wait to see the next in this series.

This is the first book in this new series by Elle. This is Jenna and her wolpires book. I have been waiting for this book. As, I couldn’t wait to finally read about Jenna and her fated mates coming together. This book didn’t disappoint either. Damien and Lucas must have to find Jenna. She has been taken and she is at almost mortal strength. But not all is as it seems. This is personal and not just for the guys. This story has mystery and intrigue. This trio is hot, hot, hot. Characters from Elle’s other books also make an appearance. I loved this book so much and if you want to find out why I think its so great you will just have to read it. I can’t say enough about it or any of Elle’s books. Congrats on another fantastic book Elle. I can’t wait to read more books by you.

Fans of Elle Boon have been waiting for this book about Jenna and her men, the Cordell twins. It was well worth the wait as Elle takes us on a wonderfully written book that is the start of a new series! Yay! There are so many twists and turns in this book that you can't just say, "oh, I'll read a few more pages and then stop for a bit". NO! You won't be able to put the book down as Damien and Lucas must fight to win their Hearts Love. I love that we get to see our beloved Iron Wolves and other characters from the series. Drama, mystery, intrigue and well, lots of hot loving! This book is a must read. Just be sure to clear your calendar so you can enjoy the whole book in one setting.

OMG that was an excellent book... I loved it from beginning to end. Damien, Lucas, and Jenna are the bomb and there wasn't any disappointment. The fey queen I just love her character and how she handles everything how strong she is. This is a must read book and we learn so much about her and the Cordell's. Very Very good job

Amazing start to a new series!
Although we have seen the. characters on other series, here we get to know them much better. Dang! It was so worth the wait.

If you think the book cover is sizzling...you need to read the inside. Ms. Boon writes tales that I like to revisit and DARK EMBRACE is no different. I fell in love with Jenna from previous stories. Add in two sexy twins: Damien and Lucas...and this story is off the charts!

Finally Jenna
This book has a good storyline, and the characters are strong and carasmatic. This story is part of every book in the series so far as Jenna is a character that travels throughout the series, but I think she deserved far more details in her own story with an expanded and detailed story. It was all good, but I just wanted a bit more.

Dark Embrace presented with a substantial plot line
Some great twists and hidden little gems throughout the storyline that kept me engaged
Enjoyed the little revelation that endeared me to one of the antagonists - As for the other she is a ghastly creature and I do wish a little more time had been spent on their relationship with one another
The world building and mythology was enchanting- though again this is an area I wish we had more detail and background on
This is my first book by this author as well as the first in this series - Though it has been brought to my attention that many of the characters are presented in a previous series - guess I will have to look into that as it may quench my need for more background and dispell what I felt was missing when it came to connecting with the characters on a more emotional level
I read a complimentary copy and am looking forward to reading the previous series and the second book to this one

WOW! I really enjoy reading Elle Boon, and this new series first book is a great start to a new series. I enjoy the fact that her books are charmingly sweet plus the language she uses make you laugh and she always mix in as she would put it " a whole lotta sexy and dirty talking bad boys who are really good at EVERYTHING " . That's why I have to ask, if you enjoy reading Paranormal romance and you haven’t read Elle Boon books, you are missing out on some of the most awesome books to read. The books she writes are engrossing, humorous and compelling. She manages to balance world building with romance without sacrificing one for the other. There is only one thing that not everyone will enjoy and that's the use of her language but I'm not one of them because I absolutely enjoy everything about the books she writes. It won't matter that you haven’t read any of her books before, all you need is to read this one then you will be Totally hooked, you will laugh and find it a great book to read. In Dark Embrace The Dark Legacy Series Book 1, Elle Boon does a phenomenal job of making it so appealing to new and old readers, her books are so entertaining that they pull you in with laughter from the first page until the last page plus the language that Elle uses will have laughing out loud as you read. Hands down, I enjoyed getting a grasp on her characters in this book. DARK EMBRACE features Jennaveve the Fey queen, Damien and Lucas Cordell the Vampire hybrid princes. The twins parents are the Vampire King and a Wolf shifter. They are the first of their kind and their bond mate is none other than Jenna. They knew their mating would be their Hearts Love, and just when they thought Jenna is finally ready to mate with them she is taken. Because she is taken from their father castle there is also a threat to the Vampire King so his sons step up to act as pertectors for their father and it’s quite clear that King isn't to happy to be in this position but they convince him it for the best, and this is where our heroes has to step in to rescue. The motivations of the princes brother is a bit murky but when it become clear, I felt I had a handle on his character. When Jenna and her princes are finally where they want to be that's their mate between the two of them, their antics are a joy to read. I absolutely love Jenna character along with her two sexy hearts love I also enjoyed Jenna’s fervor and ability to jump right in no matter what the cost, and the princes are very much a counterbalance to Jenna’s being able to enjoy the two of them together. After they became mated they had no idea what their mate would become. That’s what a large chunk of the book is devoted to, to them learning and discovering that maybe they’re not so different and what differences they do have can become assets within the precarious positions that the three are in. They made this book the masterpiece it is. I actually enjoyed every character in this book even the ones that are the villians, but the story wouldn’t have been nearly as great had it not been for all the female characters. I enjoyed that the character’s are wholly comfortable with their sexuality and they won’t hesitate for a moment to call out their men for their views of over protecting their women and how they should behave. Given the scope and depth of the story and how it encompasses a large cast of characters I thought the pacing is just right. Dark Embrace is a fabulous book for you to read. The story is beautifully woven with these three as their bond strength. The reader learns about the circumstances of their world and their courtship. These scenes are blazing Hot with the present and the couple’s struggle in their current relationship. As more is revealed about the characters, interesting questions arise. I loved the dialogue between these three and how they worked to solve their issues. When these three do get together, their scenes sizzled, especially when they are not interrupted by murder, mayhem, or a demon. This is an intriguing world with both magic and paranormal creatures, some of which are new and which is quite the accomplishment. I really enjoyed reading this book, it's the kind of book that's on the top of my list to read. I think that what I enjoy about this book and that there are original creatures mixed in with the usual werewolves. This is a fantastic start to this series, so make sure to add it to your to-read list.

In Dark Embrace The Dark Legacy Series Book 1, Elle Boon does a phenomenal job of making it so appealing to new and old readers, her books are so entertaining that they pull you in with laughter from the first page until the last page plus the language that Elle uses will have laughing out loud as you read. Hands down, I enjoyed getting a grasp on her characters in this book. DARK EMBRACE features Jennaveve the Fey queen, Damien and Lucas Cordell the Vampire hybrid princes. The twins parents are the Vampire King and a Wolf shifter. They are the first of their kind and their bond mate is none other than Jenna. They knew their mating would be their Hearts Love, and just when they thought Jenna is finally ready to mate with them she is taken. Because she is taken from their father castle there is also a threat to the Vampire King so his sons step up to act as pertectors for their father and it’s quite clear that King isn't to happy to be in this position but they convince him it for the best, and this is where our heroes has to step in to rescue. The motivations of the princes brother is a bit murky but when it become clear, I felt I had a handle on his character. When Jenna and her princes are finally where they want to be that's their mate between the two of them, their antics are a joy to read. I absolutely love Jenna character along with her two sexy hearts love I also enjoyed Jenna’s fervor and ability to jump right in no matter what the cost, and the princes are very much a counterbalance to Jenna’s being able to enjoy the two of them together. After they became mated they had no idea what their mate would become. That’s what a large chunk of the book is devoted to, to them learning and discovering that maybe they’re not so different and what differences they do have can become assets within the precarious positions that the three are in. They made this book the masterpiece it is. I actually enjoyed every character in this book even the ones that are the villians, but the story wouldn’t have been nearly as great had it not been for all the female characters. I enjoyed that the character’s are wholly comfortable with their sexuality and they won’t hesitate for a moment to call out their men for their views of over protecting their women and how they should behave. Given the scope and depth of the story and how it encompasses a large cast of characters I thought the pacing is just right. Dark Embrace is a fabulous book for you to read. The story is beautifully woven with these three as their bond strength. The reader learns about the circumstances of their world and their courtship. These scenes are blazing Hot with the present and the couple’s struggle in their current relationship. As more is revealed about the characters, interesting questions arise. I loved the dialogue between these three and how they worked to solve their issues. When these three do get together, their scenes sizzled, especially when they are not interrupted by murder, mayhem, or a demon. This is an intriguing world with both magic and paranormal creatures, some of which are new and which is quite the accomplishment. I really enjoyed reading this book, it's the kind of book that's on the top of my list to read. I think that what I enjoy about this book and that there are original creatures mixed in with the usual werewolves. This is a fantastic start to this series, so make sure to add it to your to-read list.

Ok so I will start with saying holy mother of vampires... lol.. I have always loved Elle Boons books because her mind is freakin awesome and this book will give you a glimpse into that world. There are vampires, hybrids, werewolves, demons, soul takers and fey queen and more sooooo much more.. At the beginning you start right where Turo’s book shows the Fey queen being sick and the hybrid took her home.. finally they would get their book.. but I will say the ending upset me because it left me wanting more. But isn’t that how we all feel when you have a great book..
Enough of that let’s get into the book.. ok so like I said the book starts where in Turo book stated she was taken by a crazy vampire who then brought her face to face with an ancient one.. who we know is actually the twins older brother named Khan.. Khan is mad and hurt and wanting revenge from Damikan his father.. but he is going off the lies of his mother who he thinks died and being Manipulated by an old crone who goes by ZaZa and other names but is really someone entirely unexpected.. Khan has lost a lot his mom his wife named Nicoletta and who he really is.. he hates his father and by proxy hates his brothers, sister and his father hearts love named Luna.. because he was told Damikan took advantage of his mom and left her on the streets with him as a baby in order to be with his mate. But it’s not true.. yes he was conceived but the king never took advantage of Zahidda she took advantage of him when he was out cold.. there was witness to the event and the King didn’t know she got pregnant so he didn’t know Khan existed because if he had he would have raised him like his other children.. in the story you feel the pain Damikan feels when he catches the scent of Khan and when confronted with the events.. its heart breaking but it’s definitely not any worst than when Damikan chases after Khan (who took Jennaveve )and doesn’t talk to Luna first his hearts love.. she is so heartbroken that she changes into a wolf and hides in pain.. the twins are going insane because Khan took Jenna their hearts love and they will do anything to get her back safely.. they feel her pain and fear and it eats at them.. what they don’t know is Khan doesn’t want to hurt her but them in order to hurt Damikan.. things go from bad to worst to extremely dangerous all because Jenna is not at 100% of her powers. And the crone ZaZa is going to use her to get to the others but Jenna will fight with everything she has to protect her mates and his family. While in the process she get helps from another Fey who was taken captive by ZaZa for many many years .. she gives her essence to Jenna and in turn Jenna will release her soul in the Fey world... it’s also very sad.. then there is Erza the kings top man who while protecting of the king finds his mate and so does Khan.. it’s seriously a definite page turner.. then there the romance between the twins and Jenna that melts the pages.. oh and creed and Raina are expecting and someone else too.. let’s just say there’s going to be one unhappy Iron wolf..

This is not your typical review, and as always, is only my opinion, but I read so many reviews that are less than honest and that just isn’t me. So with that said, here are the Pros and Cons from my perspective.
Dark Embrace heralds the first book in a spin off series from the Iron Wolves and features our beloved Jennaveve. For those who have followed the IW, I’m sure you’ll agree we had high expectations for this story; and there lies the problem. Unfortunately, when an author writes a character that commands our attention, and appears often throughout a series, we wait with bated breath and exude great anticipation when their story is about to be told.
For me Jenna was somewhat reserved in the early part of this book, and yes, she was recovering from a life and death ordeal, but her usual banter was subdued and her presence was just ‘less’ than I expected. The Cordell twins were a disappointment. Ms Boon has continued to write commanding, Alpha males in the majority of her books, and these two were severely lacking. Prissy, spoilt royals, is the term that comes to mind. And while I appreciate that ‘Hearts Love’ is the term used by their kind to describe their one true mate, it was used throughout this book to the point of being nauseating.
After reading the above, you ask, ‘Why did you give this book 3 1/2 Stars?’ Well that’s an easy answer. The Alpha male of this book would have to be Creed. He owned his scenes and commanded your attention, whether in demon form or his sexy human persona. Khan followed close behind, and made sure that readers were captivated by his tragic story, but never lost that Alpha presence, and ensured that we will eagerly await him finding true love. And lets not forget the enchanting Liv. A kick-arse female with a story that begs to be told, Liv is compelling, and a complex individual. Plus, the Epilogue! OMG, I loved it!
So there it is, and as I said, this is only my opinion. Will I read book two? Hell Yeah! Ms Boon has written a LOT of books, and to date, this is only the second that I haven’t loved from start to finish, so I eagerly await Khan’s story and hope that the author stays true the character she has outlined so far, as he’s a sexy Alpha, with a dry sense of humour and a heart of gold.

Elle Boon has done it again! Her newest book Dark Embrace was more than worth the wait! In this newest book, we are introduced to a brand new series of books, The Dark Legacy. Elle masterfully weaves a tale of intrigue, suspense and love sprinkled with sexy times in all the right places! We meet friends from the prior books and series (Kellen, Laikyn , their quadruplets and others from the Iron Wolves series, Creed and Raina as well as many others). We are also introduced to several other characters that will hopefully have their own books in the future (Dash, Ezra, Khan and Liv).
This book is a wonderfully written journey which we gladly go along with Jennaveve and the Cordells. We learn that the Cordells have a long lost older brother that was hidden from them and their mother, Luna, and father, Damikan, due to the treachery of Khan's mother, Zahidda. We read about a woman's greed for all consuming power and the pact she literally made with the Devil to ensure that she achieved her goals. However, we find that good does eventually triumph over evil as Jenna, the Cordells, Creed, Liv, Khan, Ezra and Dash all work together to defeat Zahidda and send her back to the underworld and the Devil.
At the end of this outstanding book, Elle Boon expertly sets us up for the next book in the series, Dark Angel. I truly loved this book and can't wait for the next book in this new series to be released. Elle Boon is an amazing story teller! I loved this book so look hard!

Jenna isn’t quite ready for her mates. She has things to do. But when she finds herself powerless and used as a pawn has she waited too long?
Dark Embrace by Elle Boon is first in her Dark Legacy series. It is an off shoot of her Iron Wolves series or at least that is where we first meet Jennaveve, better known as Jenna, and her men.
I really like Jenna. The Fey Queen has a heart of gold and a willingness to do the right thing. I love the merry chase she leads Lucas and Damien on. She knows they are hers but she will have them when she is ready and not before. But Ms. Boon allowed that bit of arrogance to be taken down a peg or two when Jenna’s powers are muted and she is used as a pawn.
I like Lucas and Damien as well. They knew Jenna is theirs but pinning her down is taking some effort. I enjoyed seeing how Ms. Boon allowed the men to be oh so close on numerous occasions but when Jenna really needs them, they are there. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Jenna learn the age old art of compromise. She is so used to doing as she pleases that learning to take her mates’ feelings into account has been a long time coming. I loved that Ms. Boon taught this lesson even as she gave us unexpected twists throughout this story. This story is a well written, enjoyable read. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this new world she has created.

It took me a while to finally pick up Jenna's book but I'm so glad I did. Even though this is the start of her new series, The Dark Legacy, it would be really beneficial if you started with her Iron Wolves in particular as Jenna and her men feature in this series and Turo's Fated mate ends where this one picks up.
We knew from the Iron Wolves series who her Hearts Love were, the Wolpire twins Lucas and Damien and boy are those two totally swoon worthy!! I've not read many ménage books really and I think this is my first where the 2 men are related (twins) so I was a little worried I wouldn't feel comfortable but Mrs Boon has all the steamy scenes done perfectly with none of the weirdness I thought I would feel about reading it! YAY!
We get to see some new characters like the Jegertroppens who are Amazonian type women and of course some favourites from the Iron wolves. I must admit Creed really shone for me in this one and has made me want to go re-read his book, love me some Hellboy!!!
A few twists and turns that I wasn't expecting in regard to Khan and those around him which was a nice surprise, can't wait to read his book.
Loved the epilogue which I wont spoil but I felt finished the book of nicely.
Overall a great start to the new series that I look forward to continuing!!!

WOWOWOWOWOW! I thought I knew what I was getting into when I heard of Jenna finally getting her story, but HOT DAMN, I got SO. MUCH. MORE. Wonderfully intense, crazy sexy, beyond thrilling and hypnotic, and filled to the brim with heart thumping action, mind-blowing magic, a powerfully addictive, dominant alpha males and one AMAZING adventure!
I LOVED the chase and the adventure this story took me on. I never knew what to expect until it practically smacked me in the face and I LOVED IT! I imagined from the get go that Jennaveve's story was going to be good, but I am telling you all, YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHING YET! I freaking fell good and hard for Damien and Lucas. What an amazing start to this new series. If you are a fan of Elle Boon's books you have been waiting forever for Jenna, Lucas and Damien book. These three have been dancing around each other for awhile now and you are just as desperate for them to get together as the men are.
There were many things I liked about this book. Most of the characters in this book were familiar to me so it felt comfortable meeting up with them again. I was already invested in them and was already rooting for them.
This book is action packed, suspenseful, funny and sexy. I really liked the conversations between the twin and Creed. Even in the most dangerous situation the one lines just flew from them and sort of cut the tension. The sexy times were hot. We have been rooting for the three of them to finally get together and they didn't disappoint!
My only concern for this book would be if you are a new reader to Elle Boon, it might be a little confusing with all the names and who they are and how they are related. You will be able to figure it out but I am glad I had read Mrs. Boon's other series so I didn't have this issue.
I highly recommend this book!!!

Not only is the story of Jenna, Lucas and Damien wonderful and terrifying adventures, it is full of mystery and intrigue as well as introduces you to several new characters (Dash, Ezra, Khan & Liv).
