You know that you need to start investing, because you won’t be able to work your whole life. You don’t want to be the old employee working as a door greeter at your big chain department store. It will also be frustrating and very depressing if you are not financially aware of your future. Time seems to go faster the older you get and it’s never too late to get started.
But getting started might be one of your problems. There is too much information available and too many scammers are trying to get you to invest in shady companies. You also don’t have the time to figure everything out by yourself, because it might seem too hard and complicated.
However, getting the investing part of your life handled will improve your life tremendously. You will have peace of mind when you think about your future and you will also have the confidence to make sound investing decisions. You’ll also have the knowledge to talk intelligently with your peers and financial advisors, making it easy to spot when someone is giving you wrong information.
I begin with the basics, like what are stocks and how the stock market works. I then transition into how you can make money in the stock market, give you some stocks you should have on your watch list and some of the lies and mistakes you will have to deal with as an investor.
So, don’t wait and get this book now. It’s on sale at this moment, but the price will go up!
i found this book really informative, it’s perfect for beginners, obviously some of the statistics and advice is a tad outdated but overall it gives a perfect general overview for beginners who want to learn about the stock market
This is a descent effort for educating, the wannabe investors. As a beginner myself, I found it kind interesting. I am learning about investing, since 2021 and the journey is at least fulfilling. Although, some terms and strategies could be explained further, the book is still a good summary for learning the basics of investing, imo.
Self help....self help....self help My point is nothing revelatory so i guess for newbies this might just be the thing they need but for those who have dabbled and seek more revelatory guidance, please search for something else
Well it is a very good introduction to Investment in the SM. However, I do not think I will be investing in any time soon. I do not have that much interest in Investment in the first place, I read this book because I wanted to understand some of the terminology used in this “industry.” Overall, I’ve got a clearer picture than what I had before on investment. Thank you for the valuable information Giovanni!
9️⃣/🔟 No se cómo calificar esto. Es un libro corto, fácil de entender y muy básico. Creo que fue un buen libro para iniciar en este tema del que no sabia casi nada.
Creo que es un buen lugar para comenzar otras lecturas con más información
Simple and short read for individuals seeking common knowledge of the terms and types of funds in the stock market. I love the added bonuses included and the summary and past performances of companies with a proven track record of success with payouts of dividends. Pretty neat read.
This book is astounding. As a beginner who LITERALLY doesn't have any knowledge about the Stock Market, this book gave me insights and information I need. Also, the author is very generous for giving examples and sharing his personal practice in investing.
Very quick and very clear explanations, not a lot of repetition, just how I hoped it would turn out to be. Great for someone without the elementary knowledge of a topic.
Things this book does well: 1. Gives short, basic, explanations of various types of investing and investment related topics. 2. Doesn't belabor any points (the total book is a quick read)
Things this book doesn't do well: 1. Come off as professional (The book is riddled with basic grammar errors. I'm not sure if the author is ESL or just not a great editor, but I recommend they get a decent edit of their future books, prior to publication) 2. Come off as believable on the advice portions (The author champions the cause for dividend stocks, but his advice on other topics seems orchestrated rather than lived? It comes off as fake. The significant grammar issues add to the feeling of these advice portions being thrown together, instead of being meaningfully thought out)
Conclusion: If you want some basic understanding of the foundational aspects of stock market investing (definitions, short explanations)... read this book.
If you want advice or insight from someone clearly schooled in various forms of investing; if you want direction or guidance in investing.... Find that ELSEWHERE.
This book serves as an adequate yet a tad brief introduction to what the stock market is and what it entails for new investors. In addition, it provides the reader with an overview of the different investing arrays that are available through physical or digital brokers and goes as far as offering targeted recommendations (albeit rather hesitantly) for both growth and dividend stocks.
Overall, I think it’s an excellent book for beginners.
Book was short and simple. Straight to the point. Great for absolute beginners, but doesn’t get to into detail. It’s a good book for the price in my opinion.
Solid, quick and easy book to give you the foundational knowledge needed to get started in the stock market. Not a ton of advanced advice - just the 101
