Smooth Operator is my first book by Jennifer Lucia, so I had few expectations going in. I was hopeful that I would like the writing style, and it would keep my interest. I'm happy to report that it didn't fail me on either front!

Olivia Holman is the author of a popular pirate romance series, and she's trying desperately to figure out how to write the perfect ending to it. While she is pondering her options, she gets a phone call from a Hollywood producer that wants to turn her first book into a movie. Olivia is surprised and hesitant, but ultimately she takes him up on his offer.

The cast and director go out to dinner with Olivia, and that's where she meets the male lead in the film, Tyler Sutton. She and Tyler have amazing chemistry, and that chemistry only intensifies onset. Before long, they are both falling fast, but Olivia resists thinking that Tyler is a player. In her defense, he has a reputation, but he tries to assure her that she's got it all wrong.

This is one of those love stories where the only person in the couple's way is themsleves. Olivia was betrayed by her fiance, and it left her jaded and heartbroken. She finds it difficult to accept that some hot Hollywood heart throb wants to settle down with her, and that even if does, he'll stay faithful. I can understand where Olivia was coming from, but sometimes, she drove me crazy. Lol Luckily, Tyler is a great guy!

Overall, I enjoyed Smooth Operator. The writing kept me engaged, the pacing was perfect, and the romance was sweet. I would gladly read more of the author's work in the future.

I recommend this to readers than want a sweet, light romance with a little bit of angst.

I'm always a bit apprehensive about storylines that involve rock stars or actors. Often, they are notorious womanizing playboy who's antics play out in the tabloids for everyone to see. Namely the heroines who have seen it play out or look them up after the fact. Such is the case of Tyler and Olivia. I wanted to knock both of their frustrating heads together. Their constant push/pull and the flirting by Tyler was exhausting.

HERO~ Tyler was a famous actor who had a reputation with the ladies. He was flirtatious to the point it was like a reflex to him. Even after meeting Olivia, he still flirted with others even though he said he knew he wanted her from the moment he saw her. I started to feel bad for him because of Olivia and her actions but quickly remembered his continuous actions just perpetuated what Olivia said about his womanizing. I did warm up to him a little more because you could genuinely see that he cared for Olivia and wanted to be with her.

HEROINE~ Not #teamolivia. She was a brat. She constantly pushed Tyler away. She was a runner, and every time some thing went south-she took off. I understood she had been burned but she took it out on Tyler.

SEXUAL HISTORY~ Neither were virgins. Tyler was a playboy actor who was seen previously with lots of actresses and models. Olivia had a long term relationship that ended when he cheated on her.

OM DRAMA ~ Her long term boyfriend who dumped her showed up a couple times in passing- No drama from him

OW DRAMA~ Women flirted

STEAM Some, but not an abundance of steam

VIOLENCE No violence of any nature

SECONDARY CHARACTERS I liked Olivia's BFF Kat as well as her other friend Dayna. I'm curious if there will be other stories stemming from this.

SAFETY Safe with exception- he states he hasn't had sex with anyone else since meeting Olivia. However, constant flirting/touching, using other women to make the heroine jealous and him having love scenes during the making of a movie are definitely exceptions.

ENDING~ I was disappointed in the epilogue. The couple didn't get together, on the same page, until well into 90%.... I needed more of an epilogue for sure.

Teenagers who doesn’t know better use other people to make their crushes jealous.
NOT a grown adult man.
Who claims to be in love with the woman he knows will be beyond hurt by his attempt of making her jealous.
Please point out the logic here:
“Hey, she doesn’t want to be with me because she thinks I’ll be unfaithful because I’m a huge flirt. So I have a brilliant plan to make her trust me, I’ll flaunt this OW in front of her and I’ll actually go away with this said OW who we all know wants to have sex with me for a weekend while claiming I want to settle down with my crush. Surely this will convince her I’m a faithful husband material? I mean surely she’d see that this behaviour that may replicate exactly of the one of her cheating ex is the proof I’m NOTHING like her ex?”
Please, go ahead and give me the logic here.

Usually I hate when people use their past experiences as their excuse to push someone away. But this hero’s behaviour was terrible. He was a “natural” flirt and he didn’t keep his behaviour on check around heroine. There’s this OW who claims they’re closer than “just friends” and he doesn’t discourage her touches. It is no longer using the past betrayal as an excuse. I think this heroine is smart and has a brain and for once learned from her mistakes and isn’t willing to repeat them with hero.

Hero on the other hand, knows heroine’s past betrayals, and doesn’t think twice to behave like her cheating ex and goes away with an OW who had feelings for him. He deliberately gave a woman who is triggered by infidelity the impression that he is not above spending time with other women while pursuing her which was EXACTLY her problem. So tell me, why am I supposed to feel he has ANY genuine feelings for her? Because he did the exact thing she was afraid of. Not prove her wrong.

And as for not sleeping with OW. We only have HIS “words” for it, don’t we? Cause I’m sure if the OW thinks there’s a single chance they’d end up together if she sabotages this she WOULD undoubtedly deny “not having sex with him”. Hero can’t really prove anything if it comes down to it, can he?
And I for one, am NOT interested in taking this hero’s, who’s a monumental flirt and childish to core, words for face value. His words means nothing at all.

I was given an advanced readers copy of this book and have decided to leave a voluntary review. Ok I have to confess at first I just saw Tyler as a regular a list player. I mean he flirts with everyone. But as the book went on I realized I was wrong. Tyler is actually very sweet and kind, he's also very down to earth. He can hurt just like us. As for olivia I instanly liked her from the start, dave had really messed her up. But she still. Kept going I admire that. I loved Smooth operator.

Consider me paparazzi at this point because I want to follow Olivia and Tyler everywhere they go. Straight from the beginning I was pulled into this story and I don’t want to put it down. To be along side Olivia and share the experiences of what happens when the story you’ve written gets made into a movie and you’re the screenwriter for it, absolutely priceless. What makes things even more exciting is when we add Tyler, one of the lead actors into the mix. We have ups and downs between both Olivia and Tyler throughout the story and no matter what happens I’m always wanting to cheer them on, there’s no way I can take a side. I loved this book and begging to see one for Nick and Vanessa in the future. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Smooth Operator is fun, flirty, and laugh-out-loud funny. I really liked Olivia and Tyler's story! I couldn't put it down. It was a great one-sitting, weekend read.

Olivia is a 28 year old writer whose historical romance book is picked up for a movie deal. Tyler is the 32 year old male lead - a known flirt (I'd venture to guess he's a professional "eye-winker" with as much as he does it 😂) and womanizer based off of tabloid rumors.  Olivia's been hurt before so his reputation makes it hard for her to trust him. Consequently, I wanted to knock some sense into her a time or two. But seriously...I can't say I wouldn't have reacted the same way if put in her shoes.

I loved the progression of their relationship. They took things slow and enjoyed each other's company. Olivia and Tyler's chemistry is oh-la-la steamy!
"I can't get jealous because nothing is going on between us."
"I beg to differ," Tyler growled.

I liked the Hollywood aspect of the story. It was fun to watch Olivia's book come to life, everything that led up to the premier, and experience the red carpet with them.

The comedy aspect was the best - I laughed out loud more times than I can count.

"We're just... taking it slow."
Kat's eyes lit up like I'd just announced that everyone at the table was receiving a million dollars and a house full of puppies at the end of the meal.

The epilogue....

The side characters were great! Fingers crossed for a follow up book for Nick & Vanessa!  Plus, we can see how things progressed with Tyler & Olivia ❤

Smooth operator will get you to know what's behind the movie and a Hollywood magic vibe. Because everybody dreams of Hollywood, has a famous crush, but not so many people know what's a famous actor life right next the producer says "cut".
For the first time I was on his past. I've been rooting for him. Why? Because Tyler the star is so different from Tyler the man. He's famous, he gets what he wants Fame, money, women and he's enjoying his life. Until he laid eyes on Olivia. She is like an electrical storm in his Playboy Buble. Yes, he is handsome and he takes full advantage of it. In front of behind the cameras. But his womanizer Fame turns against him in his relationship with Olivia. But as I said I'm with him. Because the perfect woman can always change a man and his lifestyle or his priorities. But his ladies man label is stuck on him everywhere he goes or at every word he says. That's why is hard to believe his words or trust his loyalty and feeling. But he proved so many times that he is not the Playboy everybody make him past by. At least not with her. But Olivia has her own baggage and plenty of worries and doubts. She tries so many times to back of, to push him away, but their attraction is like a magnet. It drawn in to one other. I swear there were moments i'd like to strangle Olivia with bare hands. To make her realize what Tyler keep doing for her and to earn his chance to make her believe bc in him and in his love.
When she doesn't focus so hard to fight their chemistry they are really a sexy, refreshing and hillarious couple. They perfectly match in the bedroom and outside of it. She just needs to learn to give herself and love a second chance.
Even the most famous Playboy could fall in love. And she's the lucky one to own Tyler's heart.

I feel incredibly honoured to have been asked to read Smooth Operator by the author for an honest review, and I can honestly say I FREAKING LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!

Everything about it, from beginning to end, was fun, flirty, light hearted and so incredibly funny!! Honestly laugh out loud!!! I think one of my most favourite things I love about a good book is the ability it has to make me laugh, and not just giggle silently to myself, but out loud to where even my husband asks me what's so funny! And this book had it!! So many times I laughed out loud at Olivias snarky come backs, or Kat's ability to call Olivia out on her shit! That "For shame, sluts" comment... I LIVED for it!!

Tyler and Olivia make the best couple EVER. And I wasn't prepared for Tyler to be portrayed as believable as he was. Sometimes with these "famous dude falls for the normal girl", I feel like they can be done a little tacky and I tend to role my eyes at the unrealisticness of it all, but I ACTUALLY fell hard for Tyler and believed everything about his love for Olivia! Like it's totally believable that this famous person could fall for the writer of the script who needs to be there for the entire shooting of the movie! Honestly I loved him! His honesty, his humour, his kindness, his charm (And he did have a ton of it for the ladies) But he didn't even realize he was putting it on for them! ugh! Love him! And Olivia and her bad ass author self, knowing what she wanted for her book and going with it! I did want to shake her a few times and say "YOU HAVE A GOOD THING GOING DON'T RUIN IT WOMAN!!" But I totally understood what she went through in her past. It would affect my relationships too! Jennifer Lucia definitly keeps the ups and the downs in the relationship, the angst; going in this book And it had me glued from beginning to end!! loved loved loved this book and I have found a new one click author for me! 5 stars for sure!

Smooth Operator is a great weekend read. I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars.
Pretty much every aspect in this book took me by the heart. It’s an amazing story about love and life, the author has this amazing ability to create a world where one moment you’re laughing and the next you’re crying. The connecting between Olivia and Tyler is one you’re gonna WANT to get inside of. In my opinion I loved the flow and development between them, there where so many moments I’m gonna go back and read. Jennifer Lucia is great at writing a book where you’re engaged from the very first page!

This is a fantastic book.
This is my first time reading a book by Jennifer and what a great call it was. I absolutely adore Tyler and Olivia, from the first chapter I was hooked and could not put this book down. For me, there was just the right amount of drama and intrigue as well as the romance that I absolutely love. It was written at a steady pace and was really consistent, the characters have such great personalities and were all so individual. I will admit that there were times where I was ready to strangle Tyler and have a good talking to Olivia but that to me just means that I was thoroughly enjoying the book. These two are definitely a new favouite couple of mine and I look forward to seeing more about them and many of the other characters in this series.
This is my honest and unbiased review.

***I was provided an ARC by the author in exchange for my honest review***

Smooth Operator takes you on a wild Hollywood journey. Olivia is a romance author that gets the phonecall of a lifetime: "we wanna turn your book into a movie." Now, she's off to Los Angeles. Cue Tyler Sutton, famous womanizer and Hollywood's favorite sexy romance lead-actor. To no surprise, he gets cast as the physical embodiment of her beloved character, Rafe.

I really enjoyed the plot of this novel, but I'm also known to be a sucker for Hollywood romances. Jennifer's writing is great and addictive. I found myself clinging on to every page.

That being said, I fell in love with Tyler Sutton almost immediately. He was witty, charming, flirtatious, and an overall fun character to read. I wish the same could be said about Olivia, but she got on my nerves quite a bit throughout the novel. I liked her at the beginning and at the end, it was just the back-and-forth during the middle that started to dance on my last nerve. I felt that she was becoming a broken record.

Despite that, this novel still earned FIVE STARS! It is a great read, and I highly recommend it!

Another great book by Jennifer Lucia, as soon as I started reading it I couldn’t put it down, I was completely invested.

Olivia Holman is the author of the popular “Pirate Duke” series, as shes locked away in her “writing cave” trying to think of the appropriate ending to her the final book in her series, she receives the best phone call that she could have ever imagined! Famous movie producer, Doug Wiseman, wants to turn her series into a movie! This is just the distraction she needs after hearing about the news of her ex-boyfriend, Dave, proposing to his new girlfriend. When Olivia arrives at Hollywood, she meets the actors that will be playing her beloved characters, Rafe and Emmeline. Jason Sutton will be starring as Rafe – he’s beyond sexy & flirty by nature and according to the tabloids, he always has a new model as the “flavor of the week”. As the movie production begins, he starts to focus his attention on Olivia and she can’t help but be drawn to him as well, but lets be real… he’s an actor…an actor with a reputation. She’s unsure if he’s just trying to add her to his list of conquests or if he really means that things that he says.

The relationship between Olivia and Jason develops slowly over time and as much as she wants to give into her feelings, she can’t seem to let her guard down and is constantly pushing Jason away. Jason is completely charming, so at first you’re unsure of his true intentions. That is, until you see that hes constantly going the extra mile for her. Olivia is a skeptic and thanks to her past relationship with Dave, she also has trust issues, understandably so. But how much is too much? How long will Jason continue to pursue Olivia when shes continuously running away?

This book was a mix of laugh out loud funny, sexy and an overall great romantic read. You connect with the characters immediately and sympathize while simultaneously shaking your head, hoping that Olivia will come to her senses.

I also really hope that there will be a 2nd book with the story of Nick (Olivia’s brother) and Vanessa (Jason’s super sexy co-star) and what transpired between the two of them.

So if you’re looking for a fun romantic read with moments of drama – check it out, it goes live on March 1st! Happy Reading! 🙂

Smooth Operator
by Jennifer Lucia

This book was such an unexpected surprise that I found myself unable to put it down.

I felt an instant connection to Olivia and Tyler. Olivia seemed so relatable that I felt like I was right in the middle of this story.
She has seen heart ache and was pushing through.
Not in a fantasy unrealistic way but as pure woman! Chin up and carry on!
Often times I found myself feeling proud of her..... and moments of embarrassment too. Her corky side was an amazing addition to her character.

The relationship Olivia has with Kat felt like a relationship with my bestie. Their easy going banter and support was beautifully written. (I’m secretly hoping that Kat gets a rockin romance story some day - wink wink Jennifer).

and Tyler..... Mr Tyler seemed to be the perfect alpha for my taste. He was pushy when needed and absent when needed. Morals in check and no nonsense demeanor.

All together this story was an amazing read for me.
Adorable, heart warming and unexpected. Smooth Operator had everything I love in a book.

Oh, and I want more Vanessa too 😘

Happy Reading Peeps,
Nic

Olivia Holman is living the life that 99% of authors dream of...a Hollywood producer's wife has fallen in love with her pirate romance story, and it's being made into a movie. It gets better...she's being brought on as the screenwriter. And then even BETTER...hottie Tyler Sutton has been cast as the sexy swashbuckling lead, and despite his reputation as a ladies' man, he seems genuinely interested in Olivia as opposed (maybe?) to his gorgeous co-star.

So obviously all of us all indie authors were pinching ourselves at this point, fondly wishing it was our life, but Olivia is a fun character to live it through instead. She points out the absurdities of Hollywood without going overboard, her friends and family are awesome, and Tyler is almost too good to be true. The downsides to being famous in Hollywood are realistically touched upon, but not flogged to death beyond reality.

That being said, I did find myself wanting to shake Olivia until her teeth rattled...it's one thing to be guarded and wary because of the gouges others have left on your heart, but Olivia is downright cruel at times, leaving me not very sympathetic to her character. She also didn't seem to be very self-aware, in that at one point she knew she had screwed things up with Tyler while trying to protect herself, but didn't seem to GET how hurtful her actions had (repeatedly) been, or how lucky she was that he was so forgiving.

Overall, though, this is a fun sweet read, and the sexytimes were delicious while appropriate to the overall tone of the novel. I was also very excited at the not-so-subtle hints that there will be spinoffs involving some of the other characters! Count me in!

Score: Four out of Five Stars!

Smooth Operator was a smooth read for me! I was very intrigued from the blurb and after finishing it, I was hoping that there would be more in books to come!

Smooth Operator is the story of Olivia and Tyler. Olivia is a historical romance author (HELLO DREAM JOB) whose book has just been picked up by a big wig in the movie industry. Tyler is the person who was chosen to play the lead actor in the movie. When Olivia firsts arrives to meet the actor, it is connection at first sight and it only gets hotter from there. However, Tyler is a womanizer so his past is a little troublesome to Olivia who is not really interested in getting her heart broken. There is drama, romance, fun, flirty moments, and super sweet moments in the book that really draw you in. The writing is also very smooth and you can tell that it is a well written story!

At times, Olivia was pretty annoying to me, but I also understood it. She wants to protect her heart. I mean, who doesn't? But for once, I actually believed the Hollywood actor. He was SO genuine and down to Earth, it was almost annoying just how perfect he was. There is a scene at the end though, where Olivia gets it handed back to her, and I was it on!

Jennifer did such a good job of writing the story that there were characters I thought I would hate at first, that ended up being my favorite. It also felt so real- in fact it seemed like a story that could happen to my best friend. Olivia is just your average woman and she caught a lucky break. Sign me up for some of that!

I gave this book 4 stars because it was a great read and I would recommend it. I enjoyed the writing, the character development and the story was so genuine and funny. If you haven't picked up this book yet, I would highly recommend you adding it to your TBR and sit back for good read!

I adored Olivia! Sassy, smart and snarky, just a little absent minded with a hint of bitterness. A gal everyone can relate to, who indulges in a little Facebook stalking and forgets to pay her bills occasionally. She’s the author of a bestselling pirate romance series and stuck in a bit of writer's block. When she gets a call from a Hollywood movie producer who wants to bring her series to the big screen, it’s too enticing of an offer to resist. And that’s where the fun begins.

Add in a one-of-a-kind, colorful best friend, an annoying, pretentious writer who wants to turn her historical series into a futuristic space piracy adventure, a couple of memorable leading ladies and a leading man who is so much more than the shallow playboy the tabloids make him out to be, and Olivia is in for the experience of a lifetime!

Jennifer Lucia has become a favorite author of mine for feel-good, flirty, laugh-out-loud hilarious romantic comedy. Whenever I want a fun, lighthearted read that will leave me on a happy high, this is an author I can count on. That’s not to say there aren’t a few twists and turns or surprises along the way, and the characters are so vivid, unique, memorable and endearing that I’m definitely left wanting more!

I loved Olivia and Tyler together and enjoyed their chemistry and the push and pull of their relationship. Okay, I’ll admit I wanted to shake them both a time or two, but they figured it out and were stronger together as a result. I’m looking forward to seeing more of these characters in the next book. If you’re in the mood for a playful, upbeat, hilarious romance, you’ll love Smooth Operator!

What happens when a romance author has writer’s block and cannot finish her latest novel? She goes to Hollywood!!

Olivia Holman is a successful romance author who is currently working on the fifth and final book in her popular historical series about a Duke who becomes a pirate and a ship’s captain. It is always sad when a series comes to an end, but for the life of her she cannot come up with an ending that will satisfy her readers. All the wine in the world is not helping either because when she drinks too much, she stalks her ex-boyfriend on Facebook. Fortunately for her the phone rang and she was offered the chance of a lifetime; a director wants to make book one of the series into a movie!! She hopes that after a quick trip to the west coast to meet the cast she can return home refreshed and full of new ideas for the ending of her book. Olivia certainly wouldn’t mind meeting the sexy leading man who will be playing the part of her pirate. Tyler Sutton is super hot and very popular even though he is a womanizer (according to the tabloids) and the last thing she needs is another broken heart.

What happens when Olivia starts working with Tyler? Will she let him into her heart or allow her fears to push him away?

Can Tyler prove to Olivia that his feelings are genuine or will her behavior prove to be too much for him to take?

What a great idea for a romance novel!! “Smooth Operator” is funny, original and romantic. Olivia spends her days creating romantic scenes for her characters and from that she realizes she is worthy of the same kind of love. She goes to Hollywood on a grand adventure and ends up with her own happy ending. I enjoyed reading “Smooth Operator” and I know everyone will like it as much as I did.

This is my second Jennifer Lucia book and smooth operator is a great read I read whole book in one sitting I couldn't put it down. The story was at sometimes funny, sometimes sad and on more than one occasion laugh out loud funny.

A great take on a love story.
This book is a slow build with plenty of twists and turns that's made me want to keep reading. The story within a story works great and isn't your usual boy meets girl love at first sight and they lived happily ever after. The female lead Olivia can be a little annoying at times. with her forever changing trust and mistrust issues. which is understandable with what her ex did to her. Tyler is a hot movie star who seems to be a bit of a man whore. But of course he's more than a pretty face with a bad reputation as far as the ladies are concerned.

Would I recommend someone this book ? YES I Wholeheartedly would.

Did I like the main characters?
Yes even though for very short periods both Olivia and Tyler annoyed me. But in the end it just made me like them more.

I loved this book!! I couldn’t put it down until I finished it. I’ve always wanted to read a story like this. Oh dear lord. Olivia is an author who gets a chance to have her book turned into a movie. She’s flown down to California to meet with the big wigs. She meets famous actor Tyler Sutton playing the main character of her book and there is some serious chemistry!!! Let me tell you the sexy scenes were AMAZING!!! I found myself smiling a lot !!!! The way Tyler flirts with Olivia daaaaammmnnnn sexy as hell is all i can say about that man. My heart was racing A lot! Thought he was talking to me! she writes the screen play to the book and spends a lot of time with Tyler. She tries not to let her heart lead her since she’s been hurt and he’s a giant playboy. But he wants her!!! And he’s very honest about how much he wants her. But can her heart take it? Can she trust him? Damn this story was good!!!! Check it out you’ll love it!!

Olivia Holman finds that dreams can come true...she just needs to be prepared for how quickly life can change and how to trust the process.
Tyler Sutton is the quintessential, charming super star who must break free from his playboy image in order to win the heart of the one girl he falls for.

Smooth Operator is another sweet read by Lucia ... she inevitably makes you connect and sympathize with her characters because they are simple, true and just trying to break down the barriers that stop them from finding true happiness. It's a feel good story with some hilarious scenes and truly funny, internal dialogue. The supporting characters are also wonderful fillers 😊.

If you're looking for a fun, heart warming love story set in L.A.'s Hollywood culture, mixed in with a little small town storyline...then this is the book for you!

Twenty eight year old historical romance author, Olivia Holman is approached by Hollywood producer to turn her book into a movie starring Swoon worthy Tyler Sutton! 😍

Olivia and Tyler have instant chemistry from the first meet and Tyler sets his sights on Olivia and he wants her!
But with his Ladies man reputation and her previous relationship causing her heartbreak her guard is up!
Is she just the latest conquest or is he really into her!? Will she stand her ground or will she cave to the movie stars charm !?

I loved Olivia and her best friend Kate- they have a brilliant friendship with great humor!
This story is a fun romantic read that’s full of flirting and some hot scenes! 🔥 its an anticipating journey!

Enjoy ! 😜

This is a pretty sweet book. The cover is beautiful. I adored this couple when they had their sh*t together.

Tyler Sutton is such a sweet and attentive guy. Tyler and Olivia come from different worlds. He's a famous actor and she's an author. I loved that they were drawn together and he wasn't going to stop pursuing her. Olivia is skittish about getting deep with Tyler. She is damaged a bit from her last relationship.

I feel like there should've been some bigger showdown between Sophie, her ex and her ex's new chick Fiona. Because in the beginning, without giving too much away, she should've rubbed her big time movie thing in their face or something big to make them feel like the as*es they were to Sophie.

I would recommend this book!!!

Such a great story! I just can't say it enough, I loved this! The normal stereotypes of romance reads, actors, and men and women in general are not present in this book. The author really delivers a heartfelt story about life, love, and trust! I was able to see myself in Olivia and went through my own gut checks just as she did! Surprisingly, I was also able to identify with Tyler, and how often does that happen!? Not a lot for me! I love these characters and the supporting characters served their purpose as well, whether they were warm and fuzzy, or total jerks! I think this is a must read for 2018! You really don't want to miss out on this!

Olivia and Tylers’s story is completely swoon worthy. It will make you want to yell and smack them upside their head ( especially Olivia ) but in the end it is worth it.
Olivia is an author that hit big with her pirate series and is shocked to learn that a small town girl like herself could be this fortunate. Her first day she meets Tyler, the leading actor in the film based on her book and man do feelings start flying.
From that point on emotions, insecurities, regret fly high. You must read this to find out how these characters story ends!

Jennifer Lucia is a new author to me and I’m in love with her first book.

Olivia had trust issues believing Tyler was infatuated with her.

Tyler had some serious wink problems :) and the tabloids don’t picture the best of him.

I really enjoy the relationship between Olivia & Tyler, all the laughs, tears, flirtatious, humorous and love.

Can’t wait to read more from Jennifer Lucia.

This book brought warm to my heart.

Olivia is a writer whose historical romance has been picked to become a movie. Tyler is a womanizing playboy, who is picked to be the lead male. Tyler is determined to break down Olivia’s walls in order to have a relationship, but she has trust issues due to her past. No spoilers; this is a story worth reading, you will not be disappointed. This is an enjoyable read, and is fun, emotional and humorous. I was hooked from the very beginning, and look forward to reading more from this author.

Truly enjoyed those story and it's characters. They were light, sweet, sexy, and funny.

The story did get a bit repetitive at times but didn't bother me much. Really loved Tyler and Olivia's developing relationship. It wasn't filled with tons of drama and BS. Though, I dislike how Olivia used her past as an excuse to play hot and cold with Tyler at times.

I loved the description of LA, actors and movie making ways. It was very entertaining and interesting.

This book was funny and hard to put down. I totally saw myself in Olivia and completely understood her issues. Tyler was a no nonsense character that knew what he wanted.
I started this book last night with the intention of only reading maybe 20% but I hit 50% by the time I went to bed way past my bedtime for work. Smh it completely caught my attention and wouldn’t let it go.

Marie's Tempting Reads ARC Review:

A fun, sweet, charming, oh-so-sexy romance that made me smile from ear to ear! I loved everything about this book. The characters were rich in life and interesting, the sex was mouthwateringly amazing and the storyline was excellent. Smooth Operator is a lovable book.
