This was a lighthearted read mainly set in a house party. Diana had thought she had found the love of her life with Tom Cole when she was sixteen but unfortunately things didn’t work out as she planned. She meets Tom twelve years later at her aunt’s house party. They still have a connection but will it be enough? There are a mix of personalities at the party, not all want what is best for everyone. I found this to be an enjoyable read. I received a copy from eBooks Discovery and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Having been torn apart by her domineering father, the sweet young pair never forgot one another nor that they were soulmates regardless of time or the continents separating them. Meeting again after twelve years and with much water under the bridge, they can still read one another's feelings. However, there are others conspiring to trap them into advantageous matches for their purses rather than their hearts and they definitely muddy the waters. But that isn't the only romance in this book. There are two other young couples finding their way with one another, discovering that sometimes opposites do attract, whilst behind it all there is one dear elderly aunt pulling the strings like an expert marionette master, cheerfully watching her plans come together. This clean second chances Regency romance all the ingredients for a good book, with just enough drama to satisfy the reader and it comes to a happy conclusion for all parties. A Tangled Web is a cute historical romance with multiple couples at a house party. The story is a pleasant diversion. Some of the couples become intimate, but the book only suggests as much and is fairly clean.

House party goings on!
Love the house party scene, trust it to end up in at least one marriage! A story of past lovers back together and opposites attract tropes. Very entertaining!

I bought this in the hope that, as the last in this series, it would be worth the premium price I paid (see my review for book 2). Oh well, it was a nice thought...
