The Haunting of Saxton Mansion
The complicated history of the Saxton house has been long forgotten. Few in the town of Cypress Creek even remember the house and what had occurred inside its walls decades before. In the present time, author Rob Hooper and his wife, Janet, are looking for a quiet place to live. The grandiose, isolated Victorian-style relic is everything they could want. A mysterious, widowed owner offers them a deal that can't be passed up. But they quickly discover that some things are too good to be true.
The Haunting of Winchester Mansion
In the small town of Black Bay, a vacant, forgotten house sits atop an overlooking bluff. When Bailey and Bodhi Taylor move in and begin renovations, the house seems perfect. But things move on their own, screams echo from the basement, and Bailey sees a shadowy figure out of the corner of her eye. Is the house haunted? And if it is, what does the ghost want with Bailey?
The Haunting of Quenby Mansion
A shut-in vanishes ten years ago. A massive plantation house on par with that from Gone with the Wind is passed down to a hardened female P.I. Hundreds of secrets await to be discovered, and with them, a sinister evil.
The Curse of the House on Cypress Lane
There sits a large house on Cypress Lane in the small town of Ocoee, Louisiana, and its history is intertwined with the town itself. A feud was born within its walls, and it is there where it will die. The Cooley family finds themselves in the middle of a fight that started long before they arrived. Will they make it out alive, or will they become another casualty in the fight between the living and the dead?
Este Box Set contiene 4 novelas: "The Hunting of Saxton Mansion", "The Hunting of Winchester Mansion", "The Hunting of Quenby Mansion" y "The Curse of the House on Cypress Lane".
Truly, work through the first book's egregious editing; there are stories...
The struggle to read this book is real. Book one's editing was SO BAD and distracting, but I was interested in the story. Obsessively highlighting almost every error I found as they ticked me off, I eventually found acceptance, acknowledging it was what it was. Just try to get going. Reader, it actually gets better. P.P.S. Who actually authored this collection/each book? P.P.S. That closing, thanking the reader is ill-placed, as it may lead one to believe the story had ended, thus prompting rating. (I did it out of disgust.)
I had to get through quite a lot of grammatical errors, enough that I wanted to send it back with red pen corrections, especially in the first book. This was worth getting past, for the storytelling is imaginative and entertaining, especially if you are a sucker for ghost stories like I am. I enjoyed it.
There are just many simple editing errors. Are editors that hard to find? Grammatical errors run rapid throughout the forest of miss chosen by spell check words. Do we need to open up editing as a crowd source. It is just deplorable.
Each series was unique and different. I favored some more than others, but none were bad. If you like some mystery with a little paranormal, these books are for you!
Riveting and suspenseful....loved all 3 books!!! Couldn’t put it down! Each book has its own unique hook that captivates the reader from the very beginning...
These story's covered a wide range of areas, characters, and different types haunting, every story beguiling and attention grabbing. I look forward to reading more from all three contributing authors.
