The war has long ended but the Death Eaters and their families still pay the price.
A law took place that stated every child of a Death Eater, has to be taken in by a Wizard or a Witch that will keep them like a slave.
Harry and Neville managed to get all of them out of the country, all of them but one. Draco Malfoy. Who no one wants to take. That's why Hermione is stuck with him. All she asks him to do is make a list of the things he needs and she will stop at nothing to get him all of them, even the last thing that he's written... "freedom".
