Tabitha has one night to challenge her past, and her belief in herself. Normally, a person would fail.

However, Tabitha has an ace in the hole. A female vampire with hundreds of years of life and wisdom and she is willing to protect Tabitha and tell her the truth.

Whether Tabitha wants it, or not.

And whether the Vampire wants to hurt others is not in question. It is what her Queen would expect.

And Gabrielle will make it happen, like it or not.

"We kind of thought you have covered that with shoes…"

Bethany Anne has a challenge for her team, it’s just they don’t know what it is, exactly.

At first, the thought of a seedvault doesn't excite the team much. But the Queen has demanded a less stressful, more enjoyable opportunity to accomplish a needed goal for her people.

Then, they add inefficiency into the project on purpose.

It will be a challenge, but her people are always up to a task for the Queen Bitch.

Natalie Grey

Natalie Grey grew up in rural New England, surrounded by a lot of vegetables and relatively little excitement. Therefore, she was obliged to make up excitement by pretending to be a knight, mage, jet-setting international assassin, jedi, or (occasionally) a shape-shifting dragon. She read everything she could get her hands on, from Lord of the Rings to Modesty Blaise, and eventually started writing her own stories full of what-ifs and snarky put-downs. Now she lives with her two German Shepherd mixes in the frozen wilds of Minnesota, and does a lot of inventive swearing while she shovels.

Entertaining paranormal listening 🎶🔰

Another will written paranormal fantasy world 🌎 romantic family and friends relationships futuristic adventure thriller novel by Natalie Grey and Michael Anderle (Frank Kurns Stories of the Unknown World book four). There are two novellas in this book. The first in South America where bad 👎 guys pick the two wrong women to pick on. The town is now safe. In the second which takes place in Belgium 🍫 where a bad 👎 man is taking over a town. The group manages to put him out of business. The town people take over their lives and turn the town around. Frank Kurns always give us the best stories.

Love that these little side stories are compiled. They show insight into characters outside of defending something. Was hoping the idea of a seed vault would be addressed and it was done in true KG fashion, some danger, some science, some fun stories. So when is BA in space part deuce starting?

Some fun short stories that fit in between the longer main tales of the Kutherian books.

This was a really entertaining couple of side stories to the Kurtherian universe. Despite the usual violence I found it relaxing and fun even a bit emotional in a couple of parts. It was good to have the usual characters in settings that are not world shaking but still fitting into the ethical stance of the more action packed stories. Which I believe is Justice rather than Law. The main question is do you have confidence in those delivering Justice and this Universe and these stories, make you feel that you do.

Action sci-fi fantasy

I really don't have much to add to my review of this series. I've pretty much said it already in many of the books I've already read in this huge series. I pretty much have loved every one of them. I'm just having trouble keeping track of each mini series within the whole series in order. I hate reading stories out of order as this causes problems with what happened, happens to some characters in the future. I can't get enough keep these stories and characters coming!

Good reading!

These "extra" books outside of the main timeline give us something that we don't normally get, and that's the feeling that the characters have a life. What I mean is that books usually focus mainly on the lead character, or Bethany Anne in this case. Here we're given stories involving her cast mates. And for me this brings more depth and meaning to the main stories as you read back and forth, weaving through the timeline like you've had too many of Bobcat's beers. I think I'll have another!

So glad this one finally came out.

It was great to see a lot of the gang just having some fun downtime for the most part. I wanna say more but it would all be spoilers darn it! So please just read this book! I am a huge fan of this universe and recommend it highly to everyone I talk too lol.
I'm Just getting around to starting this whole universe over from book 1.....it's just got me that hooked! Besides I made a promise to Michael during the last hurricane that we thought might wipe us out here in Florida I'd go back and review all the ones I keep skipping in my excitement of getting to the next story! That's my New Years resolution to reread n review all Kurtherian and Oriceran book written!

I loved these two stories, which are aptly titled.

The first story is with Tabitha being challenged to be the person she really is, with a little help from her friends, and the second, where Bethany Anne challenges her crew to join with her in creating a Seed Vault, for when they leave Earth, and go through the Gate.

While the crew start off uninspired, it's not long before they take up the challenge with a will and, as seems usual for these people, they manage to turn what was supposed to be a relaxing break, while gathering seeds in various spots in the world, into a race to stop some evil happening.

And then there's the Beer Challenge, between Bobcat, William, and Marcus, which has a surprising winner!

A great book, with a more relaxed feel to it this time.

Even in short story form, this stories are supremely difficult to beat! The main objective projected in all these stories, is live with, breathe, and emote justice or face the consequences. This book had two excellent novellas in it and the characters, as well as the comradery, play very important parts. Protecting the weak, providing help when needed, and meting out justice when there hasn't been any in far too long, are all concepts we have been lacking in, far too long in real life. That is the reason these books are so wildly successful and will continue to be so. As with all these books in the Kurtherian Gambit Series, I cannot recommend this book highly enough.

Fun!

A collection of short
stories that are connected by Bethany Anne's desire for a seed vault (bravo!) and Team BMW's beer brewing competition. This was a really fun read.
We get to see some of our favorite people and dogs having fun....well, mostly. Yelena shows what she is able to contribute, as do Bellatrix and Ashur.
My personal favorite is Tabitha's story. .."Birth of a Ranger"....although y'all called it "Payback".

Absolutely Great!

Both of these stories were great! I love every character in these stories. I loved that Ecaterina got to show her leadership abilities and her grace! Of course Ashur and Bellatrix were wonderful as always. I simply love these stories and always wait impatiently for the next new one to come out! Thank you so much Natalie Grey for stepping up to write these stories in the Kurtherian Gambit series, Michael Anderle did good when he recruited you!

Sorry

I love all I have read from this series even these little short stories but this one was not so good. Little things like when Ecaterina changed into her werewolf form the bad guy treated her like in wolf form. Made no sense. Then she and Nathan switching but no mention of them being without clothes. Just stuff like that that was usually dealt with and wasn’t. I’m not even going to start with the beer making. I’ll just say this wasn’t one of my favorites.

Can’t put it down. Great book.

I love how this book shows everyone relaxing and not always on the go. Don’t worry there’s some fighting. Love both stories. Once you pick up the book and read it, you can’t stop until the end. I’m bummed that I read too fast. I can’t wait for the next book on KGU series.

I adore this!

I absolutely love these guys in their " off duty" situations and it feels more casual. Still delivering justice, but more...well, homey. The competition was great, I was half suspecting the oil to be cannabis oil and everyone got high during the testing.... Hmmm....just saying....

For those of you trying to read these books in a somewhat chronological order you will want to read Tabitha’s short tale and then slip this book back on the shelf until……not sure, I’m not there yet. But don’t read both short stories in this book if you’re trying to follow a time line. It really needs to be split into two books and the second half needs to become book five in the Frank Kurns diary series.

Now that that is out of the way, the book is fun. Fast paced with all of the fighting, humor, soul searching and other elements one would expect from an Anderle tale.

Wow

I loved this whole series. Very exhilarating reads. I love anything that Michael Anderle and his co-writers create. I have followed Michael Anderle for a number of years and he never disappoints. So many more books and series I must get through. Anyone who hasn't experienced this author should definitely check him and his co-writers out.

Enjoyable!!

A light rousing story, good fun. We get a look at the team in a more personal way. One finds her way through, to be comfortable in her own skin. Others get to see the world in a different way. No worries the bad guys still get their a** killed!!

Finally!

You know it was killing Tabithas fans about that excursion with Gabrielle. Thank you for finally sharing that story with us. Seed Vault was an excellent story. It seems that justice doesn't care if you are taking some time off. Can't wait to read the final T&T book.

Fantastic

I gave the book 5 stars because I couldn’t give it 6. Two wonderful stories. Two stories that clear up references given in the main storyline. I’ve got to go now and start reading the book over again.

Two nice stories for KG fans

Nice stories. One a little more serious than the other. Tabitha gets some pay back in the first and beer making takes the lead in the second. Well worth the time to read.

Somewhat entertaining

Overall these two stories were ok, not up to the best standards of second rate pulp SF. You can safely skip this one unless you are hopelessly bored or a slavering fanboy.

Challenges

Tabitha and Crew Before Tabby became 'Ranger Two'.
Sometimes when you go 'home' again...The Place just Isn't the same. Tabitha and Gabrielle, Nathan and Ekaterina, Uncle Alexi, Christina 'cleaning up' Romania; and Team BMV trying to 'build' a better Beer.

Both stories were great

These two stories were really fun to read. A few tense moments and some action, but mostly really fun to read and some funny moments too.

I loved Barnabas’ indirect training/challenge! LOL

Great as always

The new cow of the stories is great, not fractured but flowing seamlessly together. Unlike other collection's where you can easily lose track of where you are at within the ta!e

Great Short Stories

Both short stories fill in some blanks and help add depth to established characters. The stories especially the second one have multiple threads, it keeps the action fast. Enjoy
