Carmel has given new meaning to the phrase “crazy hot” in this steamy novella. Completely different than her other two works, Damien and Simone’s tension is so palpable and stifling that it literally takes a second to catch your breath between scenes. I found myself rooting for them through every interaction despite their conniving ways. Damien has met his match in Simone, and it’s quite the ride following them through this forbidden romance. I LOVE a good taboo, lusty, forbidden fueled love, and this was brilliantly written with the perfect amount of angst, sex, passion and the twisty inner monologues to swing the reader back and forth from thinking these two are crazy hot... or just plain crazy. FIVE STARS!

This was awful....
Not sure if everyone else read the same thing or not 🤔
First the story was rushed, so many things happened & all in fast forward.
Secondly it wasn't a book, it was 11 "chapters" that's a novella (I despise novellas, they are far too short & a waste of time).
This books was f'd up to say the least, not sure where the author was going or if she just wrote a spiteful shot story just because, but I was less than unimpressed....
Yeah I won't be reading anything else from this author. I also don't recommend this book either.

Wow this book is so different from Carmel's other books. There's drugs, deception, plotting, revenge, secrecy, and hot sex.

I received an arc of this deliciously dark twisted trip down the rabbit hole. First off it's smoke hot so if you can't stand steamy it might not be your cup of tea but you'd be missing a fantastic ride. I've never read two twisted characters who were so meant for each other than Simone and Damian. Dark soul mates comes to mind as one is out to dominate his obsession while the other is weaving a web of deception and revenge.. Who will come out on top? You'll just have to read Carmel's cleverly written, steamy, intriguing book and find out.

This was such a sexy, over all steamy read! I really enjoyed the characters and their dynamic.
This is quick and steamy doctor patient novella. It was exactly what I needed to fix my rut.
The character keep you on your toes, and the tone has this sexy Eerie vibe that I couldn’t get enough of. I love when a story makes you feel any emotion, and Carmel really made me feel them all.

5/5- Damn! READ THIS BOOK!!
Damien and Simone were made for each other. He is such an asshole and she is vindictive. Together they are Anarchy.
I really like Damien even with ALL of his faults. All the narcissism and asshole behavior. I like him because he knows what he is and doesn’t lie about it. It’s off-putting to everyone but he literally doesn’t give a fuck. He’s the epitome of “zero fucks” and it’s great. The things he says are both honest and hilarious. Like did he just say that?!
Simone is my spirit animal. There I said it and judge me all you want. I wish I had her confidence and looks and body. I wish I was as smart and vengeful like she is in this story. I wish I had the sexual freedom she has and a zero fucks attitude about other people judgment of her. She gets paid in spite of what others think of her lifestyle.
This book is about two people who meet and use each other and go about their lives. One is self-absorbed amd married and one couldn’t let go. How their meet up five years later plays out is explosive. And the collateral damage left in their wake is like a car accident you can’t look away from even though you try.
This is my first Carmel Rhodes book and it won’t be my last. This book will be at the top of my rec list. The bombs she drops in this book had my jaw hanging open. I loved every word. How tight the story was written and easy the story flowed. She can write smutty scenes that will steam up the windows of your home — so good.

Not your average light and fluffy read, that is for sure but despite the fact that this is a short novella, it is packed with dark, mind boggling and steamy as heck interactions. Definitely Taboo and definitely not in their right minds but in the end...there IS someone out there for everyone, and finding that someone can sometimes come at a cost.

I don’t read novellas too often but every now and then I like to read one between heavier books to get my mind off things since usually they are light and sweet. However this book is one wild ride.
The author gave it a new meaning to crazy with those two. Damien was a sociopath narcissistic asshole but I really liked him and his inner thoughts. In the beginning he had no feelings at all and I was like did he really say that? But at the same time that's why I liked him, he was always true to himself, knew who he was and even though he tried to pretend otherwise he also didn’t lie about it.
Simone was crazily amazing. She was so confident and sure of herself, she gave zero fucks about things or what other people thought of her, and boy was she vindictive. I loved how she empowered other women with her work and talked about things that are usually not talked about.
Those two were such complex characters and together they were explosive. They were ruthless, intriguing, crazy, filthy, selfish, volatile and neurotic. They brought the best and the worst in each other, they were a disaster waiting to happen. This book was sexy, had a couple of turns along the way and a great ending. I wished there were a little more angst in the story, but since it is a novella I can’t really complain about it. Overall I really enjoyed this book and the way it was written since it was mainly the hero pov and I loved to be inside his head. This author was new to me but I will be reading more books of hers in the future for sure.

Right after reading the first page, I was seriously hooked! I could not put my phone down for the life of me until I finished this book from beginning to end. This steamy and insanely hot read is worth it!
Damien and Simone are filthy, ruthless, and so selfish. However, you cannot deny the crazy connection between these crazed lovers!
Damien is so straightforward, dark, and I cannot deny how intriguing he is. I would love to visit him in his office! And Simone? The woman is so naughty and she owned it! I was shocked when she came out with what she did! Moreover, all I can say is she got her man, no matter the cost! You go, girl! I couldn't help but root for these two!
Carmel Rhodes really outdid herself with this book!
Would I read it again? Definitely! Many, many times!
I cannot wait to see what she comes out with next!

Man, this book was fun! I did not expect to enjoy it this much, but a time was had. Damien Cooper is a terrible, absolutely awful person...and I loved him so much! Damien is a therapist, but he's also a narcissist and a bit of a sociopath. One day, he meets Simone at a bar, and they have a drug/sex filled party (just them two) for three days. Damien goes on his merry way and leaves Simone behind, and eventually meets his wife, Natasha. Damien is restless in his newfound predicament with his wife and that makes Natasha unhappy and miserable. Damien can't be bothered with is wife's unhappiness when she says she wants to leave him, so he ends up going to work and has a reunion with, you guessed it, Simone. From here, it is just as toxic and spicy as you would expect, and I ate this up like it was the last book I was ever going to read.

Mrs. Rhodes did a wonderful job of telling Damien and Simone's story. I was definitely wary of where she was going to take it but found myself pleasantly surprised. Simone is volatile and Damien is neurotic. That doesn't normally make a successful and strong couple. In fact, I found their toxicity a bit nauseating.
Why did I love this then? This isn't a long story so the plot really has limitations. Mrs. Rhodes maintained those limitations by providing a fully fledged story that moved at break-neck speed. Her decision to provide a time-jump epilogue completely satisfied my need for a fully concluded story. She could have left it opened ended like some authors choose to but she didn't. And for that alone, this is a five star read.

This is my first book from Carmel and i really enjoyed it. This is a forbidden romance between a psychiatrist and his patient. Okay so this book has drugs, HOTT ASS FUCK SEX!! and secrecy. This Novella is angsty af, forbidden. the sex in this book is just sooooooooo WIILLDDD..!!! I haven't read a book like this. The tension between damien and Simone is so stifling and suffocating that you need a few minutes to continue reading after a scene. I really loved Simone in this, she is badass, strong, confident women who doesn't hide to embrace herself or her flaws. Both Damien and Simone are equally manipulative, But Simone is MORE MANIPULATIVE. And finally Damien has found his match i.e Simone. It's quite a ride about them with all the angst and steaminess

OMG where do I even begin. When I first started reading this story I wasn’t to sure about it. It is very much different than what I am used to Carmel writing but of course I continued because she has never steered me wrong. It was like fatal attraction meets exotica. The storyline of the good doctor/ dragon was amazing but adding to the mix his psycho soulmate kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the whole thing. I’m praying for a sequel to happen because I just didn’t get enough. Great work and a MUST READ

Carmel Rhodes has out done herself yet again! Anarchy has the perfect mix of sex, lust, angst and love. I can't get enough of Damien and Simone. I was pulled in from the first page I read and couldn't put this story down until 3 hours later when I finished it. These characters are refreshing and jaw dropping sexy. Damien is the perfect combination of dark and mysterious and Simone is a refreshing take on a female character. Absolutely loved this book and these characters!

I received the ARC for this book and WOW! This book is deliciously dark and awesome and nothing I have EVER read before. Damien and Simone relationship is dark and twisted but wonderful all in the same pick. The revenge is what ever girl or guy would love to do to get back at someone from their past for one thing or another! Carmel Rhodes, she is wonderful Arthur and I can’t wait to read more of her books

This story is crazy but it's mostly entertaining. The male lead is not a hero and the female lead is not a heroine but those two crazy kids are magnetic. Also, the good folks like the wife and the friend... well, they aren't really good people either. Lots of gray in the story and if you like dark romance / erotica, this book is for you.
I like this author and I hope to see more Black heroines in her books since my fave by her remains "Truly."

The Ultimate Revenge
I loved the spin of events this tale provided from Cooper and Simone’s pov. But the amounts of deceit and trickery were above and beyond extreme. Some things were tall tale giveaways, others were like a Jekyll and Hyde twist. Ultimately, I loved how everything ended between all parties!

Damien and Simone are the perfect couple. Perfectly twisted, perfectly sex crazed and perfectly devilish!! I loved the twists and turns Carmel took me on while reading this book. Well done. I’d love an update on Damien and Simone one day.

Very kinky, I didn't like either of The lead characters but I don't think you're meant to. When your hero describes himself as an 'antisocial narcissist' it's likely that hes not going to be likable. I called the twist before it played out, not that it was predictable.

Absolutely amazing!! This is very hot almost dark thriller. Going to any length necessary to get what you want!! Chaos and Anarchy have never been so fun.
