Bucketlist: Belonging Series Book 1

Rate this book
You know those games best girlfriends play with each other? The ones where they ask each other what the dirtiest thing they’ve ever done sexually is? Well, let’s just say, I’m kinda glad my best friend is a guy, because my answer to the question would be a solid NOTHING. I’m a dyed-in-the-wool virgin—no ménages, no mile-high club, no reverse cowboys or doggy style, nothin'. I’ve thought about it, though. Boy, have I thought about it.

But one life-changing visit to the doctor, and suddenly, all my daydreams and wicked, wicked fantasies seem so much more important, almost like I have to fulfill them. After all, when you’ve been given 6 months to live everything becomes crystal clear, or it did until the hallucinations started. With my day on a countdown and my mind mixed up about things that shouldn’t be real who else would I turn to but my best friend.

Ty, my panty-melting best friend, is making it his mission to help me fulfill my bucket list before I go—but this isn’t any ordinary bucket list.

I don't know what to say, lmao. OK. So at first, I thought this was pretty comical-like I'm reading a manga or a webtoon. Just without the drawings and more words. A cartoon-ish read. But then, halfway through the read, I lost interest. The thing is, I think it was kind of intentionally unrealistic and cliche...you know just for fun's sake. I'm not sure, though. At first, I was just like, lmao ok wtf but still ok. Then, it became just ok what the actual fuck i'm serious. I mean, it just jumped from nowhere to nowhere.

Another issue. Although, this one is generally for all other same type heroines. I don't understand how having sex but not having the commitment is for "not breaking the heart/s of your loved one/s." Take example this heroine. Since she apparently had tumor and had only 6 months to live, she went on a fucking spree with 4 different people but refused to commit to them at the same time because they're only going to be wrecked by the time she's dead. Uhhh...hello? You were already wrecking them. If you truly meant to save them from a heartbreak or whatnot, wouldn't you not engage at all? That was plain...cowardice, I think.

I mean, if you have only half a year to live, and would have sex with these people, isn't it better to actually spend the rest of your life loving them? taking care of them? just me?

Anyway, yeah...i get it. Just sharing a general observation.

The idea of this book was pretty interesting, however... it just didn’t hit the mark for me.

The intro was way too short. I need more of a backstory. Jamie just blurts out that she’s dying to Tyler and that’s that? Then she mentions her sex bucket list and they start fucking. But she’s been in love with this dude for years... it just seems way too fast. This book was only a little over a hundred pages. It could’ve been a little longer with more detail added.

Then it turns into a paranormal. Interesting, but didn’t see that coming. I would’ve liked the idea without the paranormal twist, but both ways would be fine.

The story just didn’t reach its potential so I’m disappointed. 2.5⭐️

This is a really great start to a new series by a brand new author. This is a very steamy book about Jamie who has been given 6 months to live. After being told this she starts a relationship with 3 men and a lady, a very expressive and passionate relationship!! While reading the book i just knew there was some twist coming up in the story and I was really rooting for Jamie not to die! The big twist does not come until the very end of the book which had me yelling for book 2 immediately. The first book in this series sets the scene for upcoming books and I just know that they are going to get better and better with each new book! Recommended new RH series by a great new author, MJ Cage!

What do you do when given only 6 months to live? Well fulfil everything on your bucket list of course.
Jamie has no memory of her life before the night she met Tyler, her best friend. But after hearing the dreadful news Tyler is set on helping Jamie fulfil everything on the list. The only problem is he isn’t the only one whose help she want.
This is the first book by MJ Cage that is steamy and emotional, with a big twist at the end.
This is a revers harem book with multiple men, one heroine and also a female love interest.

Definitely an original since I've never seen this type of plot before. I started off loving this book but as I kept going I'm not really sure how I feel about it. It's not that I don't like it because I did but I feel that it was kinda rushed and missing some crucial parts. I wasn't expecting a fantasy book either so it for sure threw me off there, and with having another girl in her harem is not something I usually read (ff scenes). I still would recommend giving it a try but it's just maybe not my thing.

I would categorize this series as multiple mayhem as it is different from most RH. I struggled with the FMC at the beginning of the story because I couldn't relate to her, and she seemed too accepting of her fate. All that said, I still enjoyed the story. It was original and has a great set up for an unbelievable story. I'm sure that the characters will continue to develop and grow. I'm excited to see where the story goes.

Good start

I'm not too sure how to feel about this book. I really like the premise of the book. However, the storytelling is a little hard to follow. It seems like the story just kinda keeps pushing forward at an odd pace, but you don't get to know the characters really. By the time you reach the end, there is this big shock of a cliffhanger, that just slaps you in the face. It had lots of steam and I really wanted to like it. Just couldn't get connected with the story though.

As far as steamy books go, this one has a ton of it! It seriously needs a warning label like “caution read next to a fan or your may spontaneously combust”! Not only is it hot but it’s hilarious, the sarcasm in the book will make your sides hurt! This brand spankin’ new author has really hit the nail on the head as well with plot twists. I can’t wait for MJ’s next book!

This book is pretty good! I love how she has a woman in her harem, which we know is done very often. I can't wait to see how the story develops overtime. In my opinion the story was lacking character development in the beginning of the book but other than that small detail it's a very steamy good read!

Awesome lunch time read

This is a pretty good story. Kind of runs thru the story line quickly but all in all it keeps you entertained. This is the first RH that I have read that involves a F/F connection and it was notably refreshing. I would definitely recommend this for a lunch break read!!

Interesting read

This book was super interesting! It wasn’t really what I was expecting at all! There were some nice sexy scenes, however not as much relationship development as I would like. The ending was definitely a twist and leaves me pretty interested to see what’s going to happen in the next book

Super Hot!

This novella is fast paced and super hot. Is a reverse harem that builds throughout the book. Jaimie, the main FC, has been given only months to live so what do you do, all the things you’ve not done sexually before! There are a few super hot sexy scenes that include MM, MFM, FF & MF.
Topped off with a cliffhanger leaving you wanting.

Smut

Not a bad premise overall and this story could be really neat. It just feels like it needs more polish and a little more relationship development before the smut. It’s a hot read, no doubt.

Wow!!

This is a gripping book. Keeps you on the edge of your seat. We watch as the MC finds the pieces to make her whole even though she feels she has an expiration date. And really the end is OMFG!!! Definitely a must read you need to add to your TBR list.

Wow sexy and twist ending

I honestly thought I wasn't going to like this much when the first chapter was about her dying and having a sexual bucket list. I was wrong and I loved it. Sexy and plot moves smoothly. Worth the read

DNF at 20 percent. Author's take on the premise had potential, but felt like they didn't react to the situation in a real way. Felt no connection to characters. Didn't feel their chemistry with each other above a "let's bang" level.

What in the Wattpad?

This seemed like some fantasy that I made up in middle school and would write out in Wattpad. It jumps from one situation to the next without being thought out. All over the place and with terrible editing.

I really enjoyed this start to a new series. I was pleasantly surprised as the story went on. This is not your normal bucket list. Didn't expect things to be what they are.

Bucketlist

This was a new genre and new author for me
I thought this was an ok read, good start to a new series. I went in not really knowing what to expect. It was a different plot from anything else I have read and I liked the characters. I did feel it was a bit rushed but overall enjoyed the book and was not expecting the ending. I am interested in seeing what happens next.

I thoroughly enjoy this new series. The Main Character is a straight laced easy going girl, until suddenly a quick visit to the doctors changes everything in her life while giving only 6 months to live. She dives into her hidden curiosity and interests, and develops a harem which includes both men and a woman. This story is steamy, exciting, and full of potential.

I would rate this book a solid 4.5 stars. I see true potential in the Main Character, as well as the interesting and unique plot line. I do wish the character had a bit more front end development, which is why the half point.

The cliff hanger at the end was not a welcomed twist, but left me craving the next book in the series Hi . I can’t wait to see what’s next for this new debut author MJ Cage.

Okay where do I start, wow this book was horribly written.

I found myself laughing at parts I definitely shouldn’t have been laughing at because it was honestly that bad.

I understand the concept of erotica, but shouldn’t it also have a little bit of a plot?

This book had no point, there was no plot, the characters were 2 dimensional and the way the main character narrates was the equivalent to nails on a chalkboard.

I think this book alone scared me off of reading anything by this author. Thank god it was short.

A great start to a new Reverse harem romance story.

Jamie doesn’t remember how she ended up at the hospital or anything about her life before being discharged.
Running into Tyler that fateful night was the best thing that could have happened to her.
Six years later, she has lead a life she is proud of but something is wrong.
When she learns from the doctor she only has six months to live, she decides to live it to the fullest.
This means fulfilling her bucket list of things she has always fantasized about.

I really enjoyed this story.
I think it has originality and a great start to the series.

I am interested to see where this story line will go.

The reason for only three stars is because I felt like it needed a bit more build up.
It just seems to be missing something in the writing.

This story does end with a bit of a cliffhanger so be prepared for that.

I would still recommend this story.
I think it is something different than what is out there and makes for an interesting plot.
