Sometimes the only one who can heal your broken heart is the person who shattered in the first place.
Five years on, Victoria and Alkan’s story isn’t quite over yet. The universe throws them together again, this time in Paris. Their chemistry is instant and undeniable, but with everything that has happened and where they are in their lives, getting back together seems impossible.
But happy endings are not only for the fairy tales, sometimes, just sometimes, they happen in real life too.
Full Circle is the final instalment of Victoria and Alkan’s epic love story.
I received a free ARC of "Full Circle" from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Ms Page's debut novel "A Piece of My Heart" was a brilliant start to the scintillating story of Victoria and Alkan. The sequel "Full Circle" is by turns a spell binding, heart rending and heartwarming roller coaster ride. Beautiful settings in the Cape Winelands and Paris form gorgeous backdrops for this passionate romance. Ms Page has an exceptional ability to bring to life fascinating, well-drawn characters especially Victoria and Alkan. Her descriptions of setting, wine and food are lush. The passion between Victoria and Alkan is palpable. The author has a sharp eye for detail which enlivens the story. This novel serves up dollops of rich, visceral experiences brilliantly brought to life by the author.
I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the sequel to A Piece of My Heart to find out how destiny would bring Victoria and Alkan back to each other. I mean, the universe brought them together once, surely the powers of fate would intervene once again. Right?
In Full Circle, time fast forwards ahead a few years to show Victoria engaged to another man who’s good and decent but let’s face it, he’s no Alkan. Meanwhile, Alkan is a single, divorced father and the only husbandry he knows is through life on his hobby farm. The memory of Victoria is forever inked on his heart, literally. A chance meeting in Paris ignites the dormant flame and passion flares again. But there is still plenty standing in the way before reaching happily ever after.
Author Cindi Page has crafted a gorgeous love story like fine wine; it’s complex, sophisticated, and delights the palate. This dynamic couple only gets better with time, and one gets the notion that the best is yet to come.
Destined souls... a wonderfully colourful and vibrant final installment of soul mates finding one another with a HEA. The author creates powerful imagery and backdrops with surprisingly in-depth character development of Victoria and Alkan, as well as the sub characters. South Africa and wine are a central theme which leaves the reader wishing for a glass of delicious wine. It is not necessary to read the first novel and this final installment can be read as a stand alone, but reading both will not be regretted.
I have read both books, along with Alkan's story which was a special release by the author Cindi Page. I am generally not one for romance novels. However I was pleasantly surprised by this specific novel. This book came into my life at a time where I needed to go somewhere else. This is exactly what Cindi Page has managed to do. The story much like the first pulls you in to Stellenbosch, France and the wine farm. The was the author uses the words to make you experience the lives of Alkan and Victoria is amazing. I feel like I know them intimately. When there was sadness in the first book there were tears in my eyes, when there was comedy I would catch myself laughing. This author has a way to weave words into a magical journey for the reader. These books are a must have for anyone looking to escape. Thank you Cindi for these books and the opportunity to read them. You are one talented lady.
Man these two’s lives are crazy. They really know how to screw things up. I loved the wine aspect to this book. It was different for me and made me love the books even more.
Fun read. Love, wine and some sex scenes. Always nice to also have a South African flavour (even though this one is sent in France). Kept wishing I could remember what happened in book 1 - however, based on that fact, I don't believe reading book 1 is necessarily a prerequisite.
A very good story line. Kept me glued to my Kindle. True to real life experiences. Read both books and would recommend to my friend's. My first time reading this authorr. Will enjoy more of her books for sure.
Loved the book! Couldn’t put it down! So vibrant and descriptive, I felt I was there with the characters. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an enjoyable read.
