Date of the Dead

Rate this book
For those who have read Standup Guys: A Generation of Laughs, I must warn you, the prose in Date of the Dead is an entirely different style. If you enjoy absurdist humor and you're not a zombie traditionalist, then you'll enjoy Date of the Dead. It's boy meets girl who hates him and then meets zombies who she hates almost as much. The story is housed in twisted logic and filled with severely bent characters who try to survive the deadly streets of NYC by utilizing New York Times workers, a marching band and sacrificial Arabic ululation singers. This kind of quirky writing is not for everyone- especially the sane.
