Fate

Rate this book
My life used to be simple. I woke up, hit the road, and offed some witches. Yeah, I’m a witch hunter. Killing witches is my fate—embedded in my DNA—and I thrive on it. Or I did...until one of them ended up in my bed…And heart.

Amanda Bishop—infuriating, arrogant, stab-worthy—proclaimed she’d fight Lucifer himself over my soul. My treacherous heart believed her. Then, she ran. Again.

Amanda’s best friend, Bonnie, thinks she’s in trouble, the killing kind. Bonnie works her charm on my brother, and he offers our services to find Amanda, the witch that broke my heart.

The Bishop residency is ransacked—Amanda, her sister, and nephew missing. My new mission? Find Amanda. Preferably, alive. But I get more than I bargained for when secrets are revealed. They will either make or break the hunter-witch love story. In the end, it solely depends on fate.

Nadine aka Dini is a traveler at heart. She considers the world her home and practically lives out of her suitcases. When she’s not glaring at a blank page or abusing her poor keyboard, she spends her time reading, watching movies (preferably horror), pretends to work out, and hangs out with friends and family. Poor girl also suffers from a serious Marvel superhero addiction. So, if you run into her at night, wearing black, know she’s secretly dreaming of being the infamous Black Widow.

Her love for writing started in the sixth grade where she annoyed her classmates with a short story featuring Sailor Moon characters, a cemetery and creepy ghosts. Yes, she’s always been addicted to the dark side.

"Amanda Bishop took me to the madhouse, only to leave me in a straitjacket made of heartache and fear."

Fate is unfortunately the last book in the Drag.Me.To.Hell series. I am very attached to all the characters in this series, and I am going to miss them a lot. This book takes off from where Soul Mates left off, Amanda is missing and no one knows what happened to her. I loved the dual POV in this book, I wanted to know what was going on with both Amanda and Alex. Just like with the previous books a lot was going on. I love that about this series: I love the action, suspense, magic, humor and so much more. But there was also heartbreak and many emotional scenes. I couldn't resist and shed some tears. Nadine really took her time to tell the story, and there was no rushing. Everything fit together and it wasn't predictable.

"...,but nothing and no one could push my buttons the way she did. One smile, one word, one gesture was enough to transform me into the worst version of myself. And she liked to feed the beast inside me. Making me lose control brought her utter joy."

Drag.Me.To.Hell is a very fascinating series, and we are introduced to many new characters in this book who intrigued me a lot. I would've loved for this series to be longer, and hope there will be a spin-off series. Because I think the author can create so many amazing stories in this awesome world she created. There is so much potential and I really hope the author makes use of it. Why did I rate this book 4.75 stars? I wanted more of Alex and Amanda together. They were apart 75% of the book. Which I know was necessary, but it was something I missed because I love their banter and love/hate relationship. The epilogue was perfect though! I can't wait to see what the author comes up with next, because I know she has so much up her sleeves. She is definitely one of my MUST READ authors.

I received a free copy via Netgalley in exchange for a honest review.

I really thought I would struggle with this having not read the previous books in the series.

But I found this totally engaging, the characters were well developed and the story was thoroughly enjoyable.

A wonderful Fantasy / Romance.

This latest installment in the series that follows Manda and Alex is possibly the best one yet! I can honestly say it was a total thrill ride that had me turning the pages with anticipation of what might happen next. I appreciated all the characters from past books in the series that turned up to either help or hinder our main people as they prepared for a final showdown of epic proportions. Did I just use the word 'epic?' Oh, yes. This story is amazing and the whole thing is full of suspense. What's different? This is told primarily from Alex's point of view and it was refreshing to hear the story from his side. There's really not much I can say without giving away spoilers, so I'll just tell anyone trying to decide whether they should 'one-click' the book: YES! Buy this story and you will not be disappointed. On a side note, some of the side characters absolutely SHINE in this book and I would love to see them get spin-offs of their own!

4 fated stars!
“I love you…I loved you before I even met you.”

Fate throws us back in to the magical world created for the Drag.Me.To.Hell series. I didn’t know what to expect going into this book after the cliffy from the second book, Soulmates, except that it would be full of action, excitement, and suspense, and it was. You know a little bit of what’s going on but you still have questions, and knowing more than Alex but not enough to know everything makes you eager to see how the story unfolds. The mystery is well written and the storyline unique. I enjoyed the way the story unraveled with new alliances and different enemies popping up creating surprises and nail-biting action.

Alex wants to find Amanda but there are secrets he needs to uncover and he doesn’t know where to start. In this book, he’s the one having creepy dreams. He knows something bad is going to happen but he is powerless to stop it. It also doesn’t help that he refuses to face the truth: he loves Amanda. He is desperate to uncover the truth yet still doesn’t believe that she truly loves him.
I thought Amanda Bishop might be the one. Never mind she’s a witch and I’m a hunter destined to kill her. Forget the lies and hurt she brought into my life. When she loved me the way I thought she could only ever love herself, I believed the illusion she sold me. The fairytale of a dark queen and a white knight riding off into the sunset together.

Amanda made a decision in the last book and now she has to deal with the consequences. She is selfless and brave as she owns her decisions completely. I loved that she knows it was crazy but she would do it all over again for the people she loves.
“I need you to promise me that when the time comes you won’t hesitate. Finish what you started the day you learned what I was.”
Realization hits like lightning. “Are you asking me to kill you?”
She musters a smile. “I’m asking you to save me.”

There is less game playing between Alex and Amanda in Fate and I loved it. They are not together much of the book but it makes the anticipation of their reunion that much stronger and more intense. We see the love that has always been there hidden in the background as they fought to deny it. No matter the fact that she is the witch and he is the hunter, Amanda and Alex are meant to be.

Overall, I really enjoyed the way this story played out and the ending sets the stage for more.

Fate, (Drag.Me.To.Hell Series Book #3), By Nadine Nightingale Review By Sher Kurwa

FATE Is Everything!

FATE, (Book 3 in the Drag.Me.To.Hell series), starts right where Soulmates left off. I recommend reading Book 1, (Karma), and book 2, (Soulmates), first. If you haven’t, I’m sure you wouldn’t have trouble diving right into FATE. Nadine hits the nail on the head reminding you what happened when an event from the previous books from the series reveals itself.

Amanda Bishop traded her soul to the First Night of Hell in exchange for Alexander Remington’s soul. The hell hounds did not take him to hell because of this. Therefore, Manda was preoccupied doing the First Night’s bidding. So, FATE is written from Alex’s point of view. Alex’s POV is unique to the series. I love hearing the story from Alex’s POV. Nadine does a brilliant job telling the story through Alex! Don’t worry Amanda’s POV does come out peppered through FATE.

I was addicted to FATE from the very first paragraph. FATE is such a thrilling and addictive story!
All the characters of FATE are so multifaceted with thought-provoking back stories! There are many characters at this juncture, but Nadine’s writing style is easy to follow. It’s a snap remembering them all, as you read through FATE.

There are tons of secrets unveiled during FATE. Nadine is amazing at answering all questions you might have had after Soulmates. No spoilers! You must read FATE to answer all your inquiries!
FATE is intense! A roller coaster of emotions run throughout FATE! It’s safe to say the feelings run the whole spectrum. Love, happiness, excitement, fear, anxiety, loss, anger, regret, heartbreak, just to name a few. You will be at the edge of your seat during this thrill ride! Buckle up and hold on tight! There are also tears! So many tears! Get your Kleenex box ready! Don’t say I didn’t warn you! 😉

Nadine does a brilliant job creating a world in which witches, hunters, FBI, demons, college students, and even the devil, himself, inhabit. Nadine’s music choices are spot on and does an outstanding job at setting the mood! Her words are pure magic making the story come to life right before your eyes also in your imagination!

To say I’m in love with FATE would be the understatement of the year! Yes! That’s how much I love FATE and the whole Drag.Me.To.Hell series! Drag.Me.To.Hell is a magnificent series! I cannot praise Nadine enough for all the work she has done for her readers and even strangers, she does philanthropy for! Nadine is truly one of a kind, and it shines through with her everyday actions! The way Nadine supports other authors, recommending their books, giveaways for other author’s books and even writing them into her books, should be commended! Nadine is definitely my one-click author and my favorite of 2017 and 2018!

The fact is, I haven’t read for such a long time before I started reading Nadine’s work. I ran into Nadine on Facebook in 2017. Nadine has an author Facebook page and a group called The Nightingales, look her up on Facebook! Her books seemed genuinely interesting and exciting! So much so I decided to start reading them and WOW was I hooked! Thanks to Nadine, I can consider myself an avid reader!

For now, FATE is the last book in the Drag.Me.To.Hell series. I love this series so much, I’m sad it must end. Who knows though, Nadine may decide to continue this series in the future! If so I could imagine B’s, (Bonnie, Amanda’s best friend since forever and gorgeous Mamba), and Jesse’s, (Alex’s brother and hunter working with the FBI), story coming to fruition. They have an obvious spark and attraction! 😉 😉

I hope you enjoy reading FATE as much as I have! Please consider giving FATE a review when you’re done reading!

Fate (Book 3 in Drag.Me.To.Hell.Series) By Nadine Nightingale
“Does one choose their own path or is it predetermined for us? 5 stars”

You know that feeling when you try some killer food and its to die for? Then when you craving it afterwards your screwed because the place with said food is hours away and you have no idea when you will get it again? Yeah, that feeling? That’s the feeling I had at the end of Soulmates (book 2). I literally pestered Nadine to get my hands-on Fate and finally I have and just like with the food I was satisfied.
Fate was everything I hoped for and more. I literally sat down and read almost 500 pages without stopping. Nadine kept me on my toes and I never knew what was about to happen. In Fate Manda is like a bomb, in the wrong hands everything could go wrong. She fights it like crazy but sometimes you can’t beat fate. Alex though, is the steadfast bomb diffuser, he will do whatever it takes to keep Manda safe.. but will his efforts work?
You get to meet old and new characters in Fate. I totally fell in love with Queen B’s family and am crossing my fingers that Nadine writes their stories, because they are needed. You watch Jesse become a bumbling fool around a woman. A friend becomes a foe. We team up with unlikely allies. Lines are crossed and sides are taken. There is so much I could say about Fate, but I don’t want to give anything away, it’s a book you need to read on your own without a review giving you details. Dive in because I can promise you, you won’t be disappointed. Here are two quotes that I loved from Fate;
“Love, hate, need, want, passion, fear—it’s what we’re made of. And I wouldn’t want it any other way. Because for a destined love, you have to climb some fences, even if they’re spiked with fate.”
“She was the girl my dad had warned me about— a beauty queen, from the horror movie scene.”

Alex is a hunter and Amanda, his typical prey. She is anything from typical though. He loves her and will go to the depths of Hell to save her. When Alex discovers she sold her soul to a demon to save his, this action packed adventure begins.

To save Amanda, the unthinkable happens...teamwork. Many put their lives on the line, not all will survive. This book pulls you in, the action begins in the first chapter. This non-stop adventure does not release its grip until the very end. Battling demons, fighting the Knight of Hell, being betrayed..these all add to this amazing tale of Alex and Amanda...their fate to be together.

I will mention that I did not read the two previous books in the series and I was able to ascertain exactly what occurred and who each person was. Nadine made this possible by adding flashbacks to events that took place in the other books. Fate shows us that true love will transcend all boundaries. If you enjoy a tale that is not a typical romance, but one that will keep you awake at night reading...this is the book for you.

Alex, a hunter, fell in love with Manda, a powerful witch. They were a volatile, unlikely mix but, their love was strong. This book had a Gift of the Magi vibe, in that they both sacrificed to help the other. Alex and his brother seemed devoted to each other and lacked social skills otherwise. The other supernatural characters include mambas, Voodoo priests, more witches and demons. When the fate of the entire world is at risk, it takes a village to work together. This book was an exciting and fun read.

I love seeing this sweet and caring side of Alex AKA jerk-face. And this twist to the story was totally unexpected and I can't wait to continue Manda and jerk-face's story.
"Because for a destined love, you have to climb some fences, even if they're spiked with fate." ~ Amanda. Thus far, their story as been one hell after another and the ending of this book do their love story justice.

This was the first book in the series that I read and after reading this one I am now wanting to read the entire series. I loved the action, the fun, the surprises, and the characters. When the person that breaks your heart needs help, would you help them? There were so many awesome characters in this book I loved every page. Thank you for allowing me to read and write about it.

Fate

I Loved how this book ended. The things Alex and Amanda go through were planned out before they were born. It took everyone to come together and help save everything. I would so like read more about Bonnie's brothers because they sound yummy!
