La Kristeva ci accompagna tra le pagine di Simone de Beauvoir attraverso una lettura critica e acuta, mai scontata e mai agiografica, che mette in luce gli aspetti più significativi dell’eredità della grande intellettuale francese, che ha condotto una spietata inchiesta sulla condizione delle donne attraverso la storia, facendo dell’emancipazione del «secondo sesso» la sua battaglia più grande, dopo millenni di dominazione patriarcale e maschile. Prima di lei, nota la Kristeva, la storia veniva scritta senza le donne, anzi sulla loro pelle. Dopo di lei, non esiste più una storia senza le donne, le quali cominciano a rivendicare a gran voce la necessità di essere protagoniste della sfera pubblica e della politica. La riflessione della Kristeva sulla Beauvoir ci aiuta così a vedere la strada che è stata fatta, e quella che resta da fare.

Julia Kristeva is professor emerita of linguistics at the Université de Paris VII and author of many acclaimed works. Her Columbia University Press books include Hatred and Forgiveness (2012); The Severed Head: Capital Visions (2014); and, with Philippe Sollers, Marriage as a Fine Art (2016).

Beauvoir’u Kristeva’dan okumak. Dikkat gerektiren ve zor bir deneyim ama oldukça haz verici bir okuma keyfi.

Simone De Beauvoir’i “biseksüel bir adam” zannedenlerin aksine bu Fransız filozofu tanıyan, onun eserlerini bilen ve onu okumaktan keyif alan okurlar için kaçırılmaması gereken bir anlatı. Onun kitaplarını okumamış olanların bile onu tümüyle tanımaya yetmeyecek olsa bile onun yaklaşımını anlamaya imkan verebilecek kısa ancak yoğun bir metin.

Between us because we have to get rid of all the 'sanctions' and be ourselves.

In this book, Julia Kristeva composes a comprehensive analysis text by compiling Simone de Beauvoir, and on the other hand, she touches on the practices in which the patriarchy reflects its social decay from China to Africa and reveals how women are kept under pressure around the world.

While describing the effect of Beauvoir in feminist philosophy, our author also touches on the way feminism drew itself in the post-Beauvoir period. We can see the Beauvoir influence quite strongly on Kristeva. Frankly, I do not know anyone who would not be affected by Beauvoir, who would not pass through Beauvoir in thought.

Beauvoir, who guides us as a sociologist and his philosophy, will know that as long as his philosophy is a beacon of hope for our existence (which will be for ages), he will know that both men and women must get rid of those gratings instead of watching that light filtering through the curtains and window gratings.

Simone de Beauvoir ahlak ve feminizm felsefesinin Julia Kristeva`nin akademik kaleminden yazilmis bir kitap. Yazarin alinti yaptigi referanslar ve bahsettigi konularla ilgili okuma yaparsaniz kisa gorunen kitap hayli bir zamaninizi aliyor :)
Bu kadar alinti ve parantez içi bilgi karmasasinda Özgü Berksoy`un harika tercumanligi için de ayrica tesekkurler.

Second Sex'i okuduktan sonra tekrar dönüp okuyacağım mutlaka. Üniversitede sadece bir kısmını okumuştum ancak bu incelemeyi tam olarak kavramam için yeterli olmadı. Yine de Kristeva'nın kaleminden Simone de Beauvoir'ı ve Second Sex'i okumak çok keyifli bir deneyimdi. Kesinlikle bir kez daha okunmayı hakediyor.

Anlatım dili belki çevirinin de etkisiyle zorlayıcı bir kitaptı yine de günümüzden sayılabilecek bir gözle Simone de Beauvoir'in dönemine, görüşlerine bakmayı anlamlı buldum. Henüz kendisinin bir kitabı okunmadan önce de okunup, fikir sahibi olmaya katkı sağlayabilecek bir kitap.

Bu kitabı okumadan önce İkinci Cins mutlaka okunmalı. Ben gerek dili gerek anlatımdaki atıflar nedeniyle okurken zorlandım.
