I ❤ Fiona Davenport and this is a great collection of stories!
MY FATHER'S BEST FRIEND
Another hit for me from Fiona Davenport.
The older man/younger woman trope does it for me and this was sexy and sweet.

~sweet younger heroine who I really enjoyed. I liked when she would get feisty with the hero

~no cheating or ow/om drama whatsoever
~just ok epilogue about a year out
Since the prologue was about how her mother came to decide to leave her father, I thought there would have been some closure on that topic. When she met her father, Samuel, they never discussed what her mother told her about the situation. He never really talked much about his POV.
Also, why did the lawyer do what he did?

Can we all just agree that Fiona Davenport can do NO WRONG when it comes to safe, hot and sexy short reads? I mean seriously.
Harrison was pure perfection. He wasn't a manwhore, stating "casual hookups wasn't his thing" he woke up alone in hotel rooms across the globe. He was content with that until he met his brother's soon to be stepdaughter, Magnolia Rose Bloom, aka Maggie. The minute he saw her, he instantly said "Mine". He was so sweet with her and was willing to rearrange his life and career to accommodate her needs. He was a true alpha through and through, all the way down to the growly "mine" when a male friend from school hugged her. He staked his claim real fast. He also did not let women come onto him without shutting them down. No flirting or just letting their actions slide.
Maggie was a fantastic heroine. She was young (she turned 18 the day after she met Harrison - convenient huh) but she had a notable maturity about her. It was mentioned that she spent most of her life taking care of her mom so she did a lot of growing up at young age. She was a perfect match for Harrison.

When I saw that Fiona Davenport was releasing a MC book, I didn't sqeal with excitement or do an awkward happy dance- I'm totally lying, I did both! THEN, if that wasn't wonderful enough, it was an older man/ younger woman storyline....catnip!
Mac- badass biker president. Sexy, broody, alpha.....Was he always perfect? No. He was a biker president, they had a tendency to walk a fine line from time to time. He tried to keep away from Bridget but the pull was too strong.
Bridget- she was just how I like my heroines. She wasn't alpha at all, but she stiffened her spine when need be. She was sweet and had fallen for Mac when shefirst saw him, never imagining that one day she would be his.

-zero ow/om drama
-mild pushing away by hero (overnight 😂)
-no violence
- nice and steamy
-hero hadn't been with anyone in a long while, heroine was a virgin
-great secondary characters that I hope they explore. I'm curious how they will work Lena's story - if they go that route

Three great stories wrapped up in one. The books in this volume are : My Father's Best Friend, My Step-Dad's Brother, and My Father's Rival .
My Father's Best Friend—Fabulous read about Ethan & Lilah’s love story. This is s twist on the father's best friend trope and it was told very well.
My Step-Dad’s Brother – Super hot read. This is an older man/younger woman story. This is Harrison & Maggie ‘s love story. It is a very quick read but has all the passions you come to expect with a FD book. This has a bit of a taboo feel to the story and it makes this for an even hotter story.
My Father’s Rival-This is another older man/younger woman read. Bridget is the 18 year old daughter of the president of an MC. Mac is the president of a rival MC. I loved the actions Mac takes and the insta-love feel this story has. I also love that this was an MC story. FD writes some steamy stories and this really has a sizzling red hot feel to it. This also had a rougher edge than some of her other stories ; all I can say is I enjoyed every moment.
Overall, all the stories in this volume of books has Fiona Davenport’s signature style which is the insta-love, super sassy and red hot feels!!

My Father's Best Friend -
Ethan, the owner of a security and investigations company, has been waiting ten years to be able to tell his best friend, Samuel, this news, even though it's not the outcome either of them were hoping for. Ethan had finally tracked down the correct Bonnie Hart, the love of Samuel's life. Samuel has finally found happiness again with his fiancée, Lola, but he wants to, needs to, meet his daughter and have her in his life. He was robbed of that chance when Bonnie left him and he never knew why. But when Ethan sees Delilah, Samuel's daughter, his reaction is one he never expected to have.
Delilah, aka Lilah, still can't believe her Mom is gone and though she thought she wanted to be alone after the luncheon following the service, she's pleased when Ethan Parker stops by, despite saying he couldn't make it. She knows her thoughts regarding him are inappropriate due to the circumstances of their meeting, yet her body seems to have a mind of its own where he's concerned.
Ethan knows he can never act on the attraction due to their almost twenty year age difference and the possibility she's Samuel's daughter, but he can't resist spending time with her, getting to know all things Lilah, and asks her out for dinner.

He's currently finishing an assignment before heading to his older brother, Stanley's, wedding and will be staying for a couple weeks while Stanley and his new wife, Bunny, are on their honeymoon. Bunny, a free spirit, knows her daughter, Magnolia, will be fine home alone, yet Stanley insists she have a babysitter as he's unable to accept she's an adult. However, as soon as Harrison sees Magnolia he can confirm that she is in fact a woman and will soon be his.
Magnolia, though she prefers Maggie, was excited to meet her new uncle, but thoughts of any type of uncle/niece relationship immediately vanish upon seeing Harrison. His restlessness, the feeling that's always kept him tracking all around the world, is no longer present. As long as he has Maggie, he's at peace.

3.75- 4 stars. This was an enjoyable book! This book actually holds three books - My Father's Best Friend, My Step-Dad's Brother, and My Father's Rival. I enjoyed them all. Here are my thoughts:
My Father's Best Friend: 3.25 stars. This story is about Ethan and Delilah. Ethan is best friends with Sam and an a private investigator. Sam has been searching for his daughter for years, after her mother left him while she was pregnant. He hires Ethan to find Delilah, who is 18, and he does. When Ethan meets Delilah sparks fly and insta-love ensues. Overall, I liked this story, but didn't love it. It was cute, but I felt it lacking a little chemistry. It wasn't anything extra special, but I still enjoyed it.
My Step-Dad's Brother: 4 stars. This is Maggie and Harrison's story. Harrison is a world traveling photographer, who comes to town for his older brother's wedding. His brother is marrying Maggie's mother. Harrison is staying with them for the wedding and staying with Maggie, just turned 18, for two weeks during the honeymoon. When he meets Maggie, it is love at first sight for both of them. I really liked this story. Maggie and Harrison are a good bit apart in age (12 years?), but Maggie was very mature and they seemed on the same level. They had great chemistry and were sweet and sexy together.
My Father's Rival: 3.75 stars. This was Mac and Bridget's story. Bridget is the 18 year old daughter of the president of an MC. Mac is the president of a rival MC. When some drama happens between the two clubs, Mac decides to kidnap Bridget and hold her ransom until her father agrees to resolve the drama between the clubs. Bridget has had a crush on Mac (from affair) so she goes with him willingly. This story is a little less insta-love, but they do have chemistry from the beginning which does turn to love. I really liked the biker aspect and that Mac was a little rougher edged. I thought this one was super cute and a fun way to mix it up.

I swear Christmas is every month. That’s how I feel when we get a Fiona Davenport Novella. These two ladies where the best thing that ever came together.
My Father’s Best Friend keeps your attention from start to finish. Its the best thing when you need to read and have a short moment on a week night or just before Saturday night Dinner. It gives us all what we love to fix our love story craving.

I'd read all of these when they came out, but loved doing a re-read of the three together in this set! MFBF & MSDB have an "Easter egg" connection that I hadn't noticed before - Maggie mentions her best friend Lilah who moved to NY when she was younger... *grin* Following are my reviews for each story. LOVE! : )
My Father's Best Friend - Excellent little story about Ethan & Lilah! Love the twist on the father's best friend trope, and this was told very well. We get to know both parties, and even tho it's a quick read, there isn't a lack of description. Loved it!! : )

I don't know how they do it, but the ladies that make up Fiona Davenport have given us another fantastic story! Quick & steamy, but with the feel of a full-length story. Harrison & Maggie are adorable and Harrison is a hot dollop of alpha-y goodness! I really enjoyed the flow & banter in this story & it's up there on my favorites list! : )

My Fathers’s Best Friend —Enjoy this quick read of instant and protective love. Ethan's goal was to find his best friend's long lost daughter. What he found was so much more. Another great one!
My Step-Dad’s Brother—when Harrison came to town to attend his brother’s wedding he never dreamed he would fall for the bride’s daughter. The chemistry between Harrison and Maggie was off the charts. I enjoyed Harrison’s protective side and the desire for a HEA.
MyFather’s Rival-For a novella this is jam packed with a story of finding the one when you know it should not happen. Mac and Bridget’s story is packed with lots of steamy chemistry, an alpha male and a HEA. I enjoyed every single word!

Beautiful stories
I love reading Fiona Davenport books and I was beyond lucky when I got 3 books instead of 1. These stories were great and completely safe. I love when the books I read are safe and I love the fact that Fiona Davenport gives her fans exactly what they want. I can’t wait for whatever Fiona Davenport comes up with next.

Very enjoyable quick insta love stories
If it hadn't been for the fact these are short stories of insta love they might have gotten higher marks. The book is quick read mostly enjoyable although at times naive in how the plot develops in these three stories. Hot steamy scenes with loveable characters. Overall good.

This book was three great stories combined. These three books: My Father's Best Friend, My Step-Dad's Brother and My Father's Rival were all fabulous reads.
Each story had their twists that ended in the couples finding love.
My Father's Best Friend was about Ethan and Lilah. Even with him being older and her father disapproving they were able to find love in each other. This is one many taboo relationships of with a father's best friend I have read but it was also a very well written story.
My Step-Dad's Brother was about Harrison and Maggie. This was my favorite of the three because it was unlike all the other taboo relationships I have read about.
My Father's Rival was about Bridget and Mac. Even though this was again a taboo it was writing really well because of the action that had taken place between Bridget and Mac. The two of them got past the fact that they where from rival MCs and made their love rise above it all.
