A warlord owes loyalty to no one, not even those most loyal to her.
Ensaadi Talitha has always been able to trust Gilsazi, her most faithful general. But when Gilsazi is captured and held for ransom, her grandfather forbids her taking the army to rescue him. Her only choice is to seek out Ashek, the unforgettable Dunedrifter who saved her life more than a year ago.
Ashek is willing to help, but demands a steep price. As it becomes clear there is more to Gilsazi's abduction than a band of simple bandits, the threads of Talitha's obligations and duties become ever more tangled.
Only the cruel can survive in the brutal world of the Sandsea. And a heart is the one luxury an ensaadi can't afford.
Dunedrifter is a 30,000 word story and second in the Warlords of the Sandsea romance adventure series
Dundrifter by Elisabeth Wheatley picks up where Ensaadi, Book I of the Warlords of the Sandsea series left off, and I couldn’t wait to start.
Forbidden love.
Duty.
Loyalty.
Will Talitha sacrifice herself for her people? Her city?
Her best friend is taken and there is only one person who can help her. The big question is, will he…and can they resist their forbidden love? The heart wants what the heart wants and I want them to be together.
Betrayal. Elisabeth Wheatley caught me offguard with the ultimate betrayal heaped on Talitha, leaving her feeling lost, bereft and alone.
Oh man. I love a book that gets my emotions roiling.
Plenty of pulse pounding action and sexual tension in this sword and sorcery romance.
Wicked good ending leaving me frustrated waiting to get my hands on Book III, Batttleslave.
I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Dunedrifter by Elisabeth Wheatley.
OH MY GOD Okay, reel yourself in, Eli, and breathe. *breathes* I liked book one. I really did. But that affection utterly pales in comparison to my love for the second book. The world and lore of the Sandsea is expanded in DUNEDRIFTER, and we get a more intense look at Talitha's development and psyche, as well as the supporting cast of characters. The intrigue and betrayals and power-plays and more... Just, goodness. I won't give away much, because I want this book to keep you on your toes as much as it did for me--and trust me, it will. DUNEDRIFTER is ultimately a rip-roaring sequel in a fantasy-romance series I'd recommend to anyone and everyone!
I have been looking for a new series to read. My only complaint is that the books aren't longer. I have finished the first 2 books in as many days. I like the strong female lead with a strong sense of honor. The world and storylines are captivating.
4.5 stars This book picks up right where Ensaadi left off and I am LOVING this series! I devoured this story, more so, if not faster, than Magain and Ensaadi. However, the ending: RUDE.
Time to start Battleslave and try not to stay up too late reading.
Very nice second installment. I am really enjoying the length of each story in this series. The characters and the plots have been very fun. I'm really looking forward to continuing the story.
