What do you think?

From the bestselling author of the Young Adult novel “Away From Here” comes the 4th in a 5 book series that follows the adventures of five NYPD detectives. Filled with action, suspense, true crime, and love stories, the New York City’s Finest series will take you on a roller coaster ride (sometimes literally) through the five boroughs of the city.
REVIEW BLURBS:
“Christopher Harlan’s New York City’s Finest Series is one of my favorites, and his latest book “Noah” is another excellent story about how all areas of law enforcement can work together to achieve a common goal.”
“As in real life, this 4th installment in Christopher Harlan's New York's Finest series is full of pain, passion, friendship, and humor. I adore Christopher's writing and I truly admire his ability to make every word.”
“Once again it's a homerun from Christopher Harlan. Noah quickly catches your interest and holds on throughout the book. A cop's job isn't easy but seeing Noah navigate both personal and professional life when everything seems against you makes a fantastic read.”

We meet Noah in the previous Quinn book. He left NYPD and joined Quinn's private investigator firm.
The Network was an organization that kidnapped young women and sold them. We met this organization in the last book. Noah is still wondering who runs it and how can they bring them down.
Noah is funny, nice guy, smooth, tall, full of tattoos and muscular. He gets judged as a bad guy most often because of his looks. When is reality he is just a sweet man looking for love.
Elizabeth (Eliza) became homeless at 28 years old. I wonder how she is supporting herself without working. Then she let's us know she is a trust fund baby. She hasn't been able to work due to her past. She wants to move on but doesn't know how.

Noah is a great addition to the NYPD series. He is a stand up guy who is focused on his job. He is a gentlemen, but knows how to turn up the spicy when he needs to. Eliza is battling her demons when she finds Noah. At first she needs needs and wants his help, but then something happens and it turns into more...so much more.
Eliza and Noah have a connection that can't be denied. So make sure you grab this book 4 in the series and learn more about the network and get one step closer to the end.

"My girlfriend. That's what you are, isn't it?''
"You're damn right I am."
Wow! This series keeps getting better and better. One hot cop after another!! Danger, suspense, humor, and steamy scenes - who could ask for more?
Noah Thompson has left his position with the NYPD Special Victim's Unit, to join up with Quinn, forming Sixth Borough Private Investigation. Along with fellow colleagues Calem and Jesse, they are still hunting down members of The Network, an underground organization running a human trafficking ring. They are no closer to a break than before and he's itching to take them down. Add to this his attempts to get in to the on-line dating scene. One bad date after another and he's ready to give up. Then Eliza crosses his path and everything changes. She's captivating and beautiful and snarky. What he doesn't realize is how much they have in common. When her secret agenda is revealed, will it destroy everything he's been working toward?
Eliza is hunting for the ones that hurt her. Now she has a name. Meeting Noah won't distract her from her ultimate goal, even though she's falling for him. She's been lying to him, but doesn't want to do it anymore. If she tells him her secret, will she lose him? Can she risk it, or should she continue alone and lose him anyway?
Holy hell this series is amazing! Can't get enough of these NYPD hotties!!

NOAH is that story that you just want to keep being lost inside its pages...
It’s always a joy to drop back into New York’s boroughs and another new story by Christopher Harlan. I have thoroughly loved this series by Christopher and how he gives you a special preview glimpse of not necessarily the end, but what may happen along the way. Yet again, my heart was left jumping and wanting to turn those pages.
Like any good series, familiar characters are reoccurring! Now, they are forming a team, that will pit their intelligence and the savvy technical skills of Noah against a nefarious group, The Network, selling and trafficking women, yet hiding in plain site. In Quinn, only a portion was seen of the Network and both Quinn and Noah nearly lost their lives… so it’s time to get down and dirty to bring the Network down. However, leads have been sparse, frustrations are growing and time is of the essence. A mystery stranger will become so much more to Noah without him ever realizing it until it seems time runs out. Will Eliza, seeking revenge, help or hinder the case and Noah’s personal feelings that are developing for her?
There was a slightly different writing perspective in some of the story, which I absolutely adored - the journal entries… the cathartic healing of words on paper. Journalling is really a great tool for coping with the tragedies life throw’s at us. Not necessarily to completely heal our pain but to brain dump the emotions and find some perspective and balance to the thoughts that tumble inside our minds. And to give voice to what has happened. Congratulations Christopher - a beautiful writing perspective.
NOAH is a beautiful page-turning read. Personally for me… this was also the book that I wanted so much more from the story. More personal development of the story between Noah and Eliza as two people meeting and learning about each other. Most especially the take down of the small contingent of the Network - it felt a little rushed. Anti-climatic for such a nefarious group, especially after what had happened in Quinn?? Sometimes, there are stories that you just want to keep being lost in no matter what an author gives you… This Network storyline… is so intriguing, you just want to keep delving deep to find and capture them all…
Christopher Harlan gives you an inner glimpse of what each person is thinking and feeling inside the pages of NOAH. It’s a beautiful story, with dating app frustrations and dramatic suspense that will lead you into the conclusion of this series. You will want to definitely keep reading, Riley is not only going to turn heads, he is going to close this series… I’m so looking forward to where Christopher Harlan will take us.
Note: It would be recommended to read the entire series so fully appreciate the characters and how they have got to this point in the series.

Noah knew at a young age that he wanted to help people and make them feel safe. He achieved this goal when he graduated from the Police Academy and joined the NYPD. He spent five years working in the Special Victims Unit, investigating cases of sexual assault and crimes against the disabled, the elderly and young children. He felt that he did make a difference in the lives of the victims that he saved, but there were always more to help, and that frustrated him. When he couldn’t deal with it anymore, he retired with no plans for the future except to continue his goal to save as many people as he could. He applied for a job with a private investigation agency and when he met his future boss, Quinn, he was certain that this was where he was supposed to be. Their first case was to find a woman who had been kidnapped by The Network, an organization involved in human trafficking. They were able to rescue her, but in the process, Noah was injured and almost died. After he recovered, Noah began spending a lot of time at the gym, regaining his strength. It was here that he first spotted Eliza, the woman that would change his life.
Eliza wakes up every morning wondering how she will make it through another day. Her nightmares are debilitating and she looks forward to the day that she can put her ordeal behind her. She writes in her journal every day, which helps to rid her mind of the demons that haunt her. She also goes to the gym where she can listen to music and work on healing her body. This is where she meets Noah and she is immediately attracted to him. She had seen him there before and she is thrilled that she finally got to talk to him. Eliza had noticed his NYPD duffle bag and she knew that he was the type of guy that she could confide in and who would keep her safe. She needs to be strong so she can go after the person who harmed her so he can never victimize anyone again.
Will Noah be able dismantle The Network and make the city safe once again? Can he be the one who will bring Eliza out of the darkness?
Will Eliza survive her confrontation with her abusers and will she let Noah into her life and take a chance on happiness?
Christopher Harlan’s New York City’s Finest Series is one of my favorites, and his latest book “Noah", is another excellent story about how all areas of law enforcement can work together to achieve a common goal. Noah is a quiet leader who painstakingly formulated a plan to stop The Network without knowing he was also helping Eliza to live again. I always look forward to the next book in this series, but unfortunately, the series will come to an end with Riley’s story, which takes place in Staten Island.

I just love this crime fighting Dream Team. The story of NY City’s Finest continues in book #4, with Noah’s story.
Noah is haunted and filled with rage after the encounter with the Network almost killed him and his partner Quinn. It only makes him more dedicated and driven to bring The Network down. He’s not doing much better when it comes to his love life. He doesn’t seem to have any luck finding a nice woman. His online dating experiences are frustrating but also hilarious. Until a chance encounter in the gym leaves him mesmerized.
Eliza is an incredibly strong woman, having survived horrific events in her life. Her dark secrets altered her life as she knew it and is now living as a recluse looking for justice. Her encounter with Noah has been a intrigues her. He brings out feelings in her she hasn’t felt in a long time. She needs to pursue this thing between them. I like how direct and no-nonsense she is about pursuing him.
I don’t think the action was as intense as the other books. It comes to a head quickly and ends just as quickly but it’s still pretty good. I enjoy reading about strong, virile crime fighting hunks and their equally strong, fiesty women. I look forward to reading Riley’s story.

This series just keeps getting better and better! I was intrigued by Calem, charmed by Jesse, totally fell in love with Quinn, and now am fascinated with Noah. The tall, ripped, inked former NYPD SVU investigator is the newest member of the Sixth Borough Private Investigation agency headed by his old partner, Calem. He has sworn to himself to help the oppressed underdogs of the world, but has increasing doubts about their latest case involving the murky Network, an organization which traffics women into the sex trade.
He longs for the happiness his partners have with their women and joins a dating site hoping to meet the woman of his dreams, but finds his perfect match in Eliza, sweating out his frustrations at the gym. She is there working through issues from a fairly recent trauma. As they grow closer, they discover that they are chasing the same demon, the mysterious Network.
Christopher Harlan has written a suspenseful romance that keeps us guessing at the identity of the Network and seamlessly continues the storylines of all the characters from the previous books in this series. I am anxiously awaiting the final book, but also dreading the end of this captivating series. Who is the Network?

The Network is going down. Noah wants vengeance after a near fatal stabbing almost took him out. But not only to avenge him and Quinn but to stop their sales in human flesh and save those women.
Noah is Quinn’s new hire. He was SVU with the NYPD, but that kind of work just wears you out. Upon leaving he found Quinn and after working a case together, the position became permanent.
Now with a lull in a fledgling business, Noah decided to date in his free time. And get ready for some real winners. His dates were hysterical. And just when he stops with the online dating crap, he spots Eliza at his gym.
Eliza has a few secrets of her own. She approaches Noah and makes small talk. Her original interest was because she thought he was NYPD and could help her, but then she caught feelings.
Both have secrets; Noah because his work requires it but Eliza has hers because she’s seeking revenge. But when you find that person, the one who helps you heal, you have to be open and let them in. And besides, sicilian pizza is his favorite... gotta love a man after your own heart!

Noah is the 4th book in the New York City's Finest Series and it doesn't disappoint at all. These books just keep getting better and better. I am cheering these boys and gals on and can't wait to find out how it will all come to a big finale.
So we've met Noah before and if you were kinda on the sidelines about him, you won't be anymore. This guy is a gem and only wants to do right by everyone around him. He could be considered a true Knight in shining amour if there were such a thing anymore.
Enter Eliza, she is the one that got away from the evil Network. She has lived and survived everything that Noah and his friends are trying to stop and bring to the ground. Though Noah doesn't know it, these two will burn hot and not be able to stop themselves.
Even though Eliza has saved herself once, can she trust Noah enough to maybe save her from herself and the terror that is still out there?
The mystery, mayhem, murders, continues in this book and so does the concept of love finding a way in the end. But will it be enough?
Amazing book.

Noah is the fourth book in Christopher Harlan’s New York City’s Finest book series. Noah just recently joined “the dream team.” He brings his experience of working in SVU and computers. They are still trying to figure out how to take down “The Network”. Noah is very intent on doing so because of his ingrained trait of wanting to help people.
Due to the fact that there are no other cases going on, he tries his hand at online dating, which adds some comic relief to this story. Along the way, he meets Eliza, who takes an interest in him and the work that he does. But she is hiding some secrets of her own. Will this be the time that they guys can infiltrate the group and take them down? Will Noah find someone that is worth spending time with?
I enjoyed this book, just as I have the prior three. It has action, suspense, some comedic moments, a little bit of cooking, male bonding and romance. What more could you ask for?
I received an ARC of this book in return for an honest review.

Noah is the fourth book in Christopher Harlan’s New York City’s Finest book series and man does this series keeps getting better and better. Noah Thompson left the NYPD Special Victim's Unit, and joined Quinn in forming Sixth Borough Private Investigation. Noah's frustrated by his lack of leads to take down The Network, an underground organization running a human trafficking ring. Add in his dating life from hell and he's just ready to give up.
Enter Eliza, a beautiful woman at the gym who catches his eye. Eliza takes an interest in him and the work that he does because she's hunting for the people who hurt her and Noah just may be the person to help her. Though they don't know it, they're are both dedicated to finding a common enemy: The Network.
Will Noah be able dismantle The Network and make the city safe once again?
Can Eliza be the woman Noah needs to help him feel grounded and complete?
A steamy, suspenseful romance that will captivate you as you go on this journey with them. Can't wait for book 5.

Love the Sixth Borough!
I really love the NYCs Finest books. I love all the guys & care deeply for all the girls. The storylines are really great & flow seamlessly from one book to the next. My problem with "Noah" & it bugged me in "Quinn," too, is character development. I feel like I really know Calen, Cordelia, Jesse, & Haddie, and I felt like I was really getting to know Quinn & Jen by the end of the 2nd book, "Jesse." However, in Quinn & Noah's books it seemed like the main characters were tertiary to the plot, setting, & supporting characters. In addition, I had trouble recognizing players because characteristics had altered (Quinn going from bada$$ SEAL to mild mannered diplomat and Haddie going from Bohemian free spirit to casual but savvy businesswoman). I really like what I've gotten to know of Noah and Eliza but, in their case, I just feel like they haven't been developed much at all. I'm holding out hope, though, that "Riley" will bring it all together, strengthen the characters and their bonds.

Here I am falling in love one more time, first it was Calem, then came Jesse, third time I was charmed by Quinn. Now the fourth time it’s a tall, buff, tattooed former NYPF SVU cop turned PI named Noah. Noah who has dedicated his life to stopping the Bullies of the world, one Bully at a time. But is this finally the Bully he can’t defeat? Enter Eliza, a strong willed woman with a mission, is she the perfect match for Noah? What about her past makes her he perfect match for Noah. They meet not on the dating website that Noah has been using trying to find the woman of his dreams, but in a gym sweating their stress away. Christopher Harlan has woven a suspenseful romantic adventure that keeps us in touch with Calem, Jesse and Quinn, as well as keeping us involved in trying to figure out who is the Network and will they be able to stop them? I loved this book, the story wove together well and left me excited to get to book five to see where and how this story ends.

Noah, book 4 in New York City's finest series takes place in the Bronx. Noah is the PI for Quinn's PI firm. With work being slow, Noah focuses on his love life. He tries online dating and quickly becomes frustrated realizing there are alot of crazies in the world. When he meets Eliza, he instantly feels a connection. Soon he discovers he was a survivor of the mysterious Network. Unbeknownst to each other, they were both working a case to bring down the Network. In the same night (not planned together) is when they stike against the higher ups. Although the network still exists, they made a dent with having the higher ups arrested, something they both have to live with. Small victories.
Noah and Eliza found happiness in hurting the organization and with each other.

I am loving these books that are centered around the boroughs of NY. Noah is the latest in this series. Noah is helping he fellow friends try to find out who or what the Network is.
Eliza comes into his life when he least expects it. Was it fate or did she seek him out when a run in at the gym she notices his duffle bag that says he is a cop. Trying to battle her own demons from her past she is wondering if she can move past what happened to her and get her revenge for the people who took her.
Calem, Quinn, Jessie and Noah will stop at nothing to stop the Network. This could be the break they need to really establish their new PI company. I have loved each of these books with different but also connected together.
I can't wait for the next installment.
Eliza comes into his life when he least expects it. Was it fate or did she seek him out when a run in at the gym she notices his duffle bag that says he is a cop. Trying to battle her own demons from her past she is wondering if she can move past what happened to her and get her revenge for the people who took her.

This is the fourth book in New York City’s Finest and Noah is the quiet guy who looks like your typical bad boy but don’t judge a book by its cover as there is more to this ex cop than meets the eye. Noah digs deep into the investigation to try to take The Network down that are not only responsible for kidnapping women and selling them, they also nearly took his life and his partner Quinn’s. Noah is also trying to find love and when he catches the eye of Eliza it is an instant attraction that neither of them can deny. What these two don’t realise is that they have a connection to each other that neither of them will discover until it is nearly too late. Their story is full of angst, suspense, drama and some flirty and sexy moments that will hold you in place until the very end.

I definitely enjoyed Noah's story. He is more than just an ex-cop and private investigator. He only wants to help as many people as he can and sometimes...gets so frustrated when it just seems he can only do so much. We see his quest to find someone who may be the one and as with everything, he is frustrated by some of the fruitcakes that have come his way. When he finally decides to stop looking, the perfect "one" drops into his lap. The suspense of the case, the drive to bring down "The Network" after the damage done in Quinn's book (no need to spoil that one for you), brings both highs and lows as the boys, Jessie, Calem, Quinn, Noah and new addition Riley join forces to bring down the bad guys. Eliza is a turning point for Noah and the steam alone is worth the read!

Another great book in Christopher Harlan's New York City's Finest series. Noah is a protector who is now using his police-trained skills in the private sector and trying to find the people responsible for his near death months ago. When he meets Eliza (Elizabeth) at the gym and beings to see her socially, he knows she is hiding something but doesn't know what. Their interactions are fun to watch develop although I was a little peeved with Eliza for holding back.
If you enjoyed the other books in the series or just enjoy a good tale with well-developed characters and a good dose of chemistry, add this to your TBR pile or better yet, dive right in now. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and enjoyed every moment of the ride.

Another Epic Chapter
As in real life, this 4th installment in Christopher Harlan's New York's Finest series is full of pain, passion, friendship, and humor. I adore Christopher's writing and I truly admire his ability to make every word . He's the only author I know that can make an argument over pizza seem both necessary and profound. But that is the passion and commitment that the men, and women, at the center of these stories bring to everything they do. The mystery surrounding the Network continues and the players from the previous books Calem, Jesse, Quinn, and the man at the heart of the final story Riley. These men have a bond that surpasses friendship they are brothers.

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This is the 4th book in this author's series about former/current NYPD detectives, the women who love them and the crimes that surround them. The books all have ties that bind them together and are best enjoyed reading in order. This book focuses on Noah, former SVU detective, and current partner in a PI agency with Quinn (book 3 of the series). After solving their agency's first and only case, Noah is feeling a bit obsessed with finding the members of The Network and taking them down. He is also feeling a bit lost in the love department, in that he wants to find it but finds the dating scene tedious in NYC. I got a kick out of the last two dates he went on using the dating app on his phone...CRAZY! But, love has a way of finding us when we least expect it and in the most ordinary of circumstances. Eliza makes the first move at their gym, but something about her questions make Noah's cop instincts tingle. What could she be hiding? Is it something dangerous for her? Noah doesn't know why, but after first meeting her he feels protective and gives her his card. But, until she makes her move he decides to focus all his attention on trying to find more info on The Network by using his IT skills and looking on the dark web as well as more legit sources. Can the dream team (Noah, Quinn, Jesse & Calem) ever get the drop on The Network? They have all been physically injured once, are they willing to risk it again? The answer is "of course" b/c that is their job as NYPD/ former soldiers. But, as Noah says, The Network is akin to a hydra. If you cut off one head it is only a matter of time before a new one grows and adapts. Fortunately The Network is fictional in this series but, there are organizations like it in this world and I, for one, am glad there are men & women willing to take them down and save the innocents! Take a chance on this book & series. I do not think you will be disappointed!

This series just keeps getting better and better! I love Noah (he just might be my favorite)! He starts off trying to find "love" in definitely not an ideal place and when he stops looking he finds it in Eliza. He is also in the midst of changing careers and trying to really find his place. Eliza has some baggage of her own and needs Noah's help but it turns into something more! I feel there is a perfect blend of action and romance in this story. Oh and we get to see Calem, Jessie and of course Quinn again!!

I love how Christopher Harlan writes likeable characters that I would want to know in real life. His characters and situations are not far fetched or make you roll y our eyes. His books keep your attention from start to finish and are well written. His books have romance, sexy times, and action all rolled into one. Definitely, worth your time to read this book and series. It's a standalone in a series.

Noah is a great addition to Christopher Harlan’s NY City’s Finest Series. He is focused and determined to bring down the Network, the group we were introduced to in the previous books. Work dominates his life, but he is trying to find balance in his personal life so he is trying the dating scene, however unsuccessful it may be. When he least expects it Eliza shows up in his life and sparks fly. Little does he know, she is connected to the Network he is trying to bring down.

I enjoyed this book very much. You do need to have read the previous stories to understand some of the sub context. It was great to have the 4 men working together ,even if peripherally. The 2main character have some intense chemistry. At times Eliza’s story felt a little disjointed but it came together at the end. A great addition to the “ New York’s Finest “ series. Looking forward to the next.

Another captivating book in this series. Noah takes you further into finding the Network. He meets Eliza, his mystery woman and she seems to be his dream girl after meeting so many dead ends on his dating site. Little does He know that she sought him out to help her with her plan. The boys are back in action and Noah does not disappoint. The dream team dig into the Network with help from an outside source and the team once again has success.

This story is packed with action, suspense, humor, passion, close friends, police and private investigators, entertaining characters, and more. I can't wait to see what happens next in "Riley". Highly recommend to all fans of romance, police/private investigators, and series.

This series keeps getting better and better with each new book. The author has an exceptional way with the written word and I found it impossible to put this book down. The story line moves quickly and has an element of mystery. The characters are remarkable and have wonderful interactions throughout. Love this story, don't miss out!
