Quick, mostly entertaining read … ideal for a couple of busy work days.
Always surprised tbh that the spin-off novels of the UNCLE series are quite serious, straight down the line thrillers much as the initial season ‘Man from’ was and nothing like the later humorous more tongue in cheek series.

I was a big fan of The Man From UNCLE TV series in the sixties and its spin-off, The Girl From UNCLE, and collected the books, so how could I not start re-reading them when I found them in a box? Still enjoyable and fun, I found this one to be very much of its time; not exactly dated but definitely of the era when gadget-ridden secret agents were all the rage on TV, in films and in books. Well-written and a good, light read.

Thrush plots to use the "common" cold as a weapon.
