The way I fucking see it the hero is just as abusive as her ex husband is.
Let me explain. Her ex husband shows up arresting her because the heroine was a sex offender which is not true. Husband was an abusive asshole and when she was going to leave him he concocted a lie about her sexually assaulting kids.
And this is where I said where the hero is just as much as abusive as her ex because he believed his lies, he let her ex arrest her and she was beaten up almost to death while he just stood there with hurt in his eyes because he thought she was going to assault his little niece. And the others too believe his lies they stood there without helping the heroine. And no they weren't there at the exact moment where she was being beat up but they're still guilty.
They also used the heroine as bait to catch her ex husband and yep the piece of shit hero just stood there and let the other detective used her and didn't do shit while she was being beat up. These piece of shit men who they pride themselves because they're not abusive assholes just stood there, they are guilty as much as her ex. I fucking hated them all of them in fact I hated them more than I hated her ex.
I can't fucking believe he just stood there and didn't do anything to help her and he let her be used as bait. That's not man to me. Because all of this she tries to kill herself in jail.
And the stupid woman just forgive him like nothing happened.

Jag was HJ Bellus’ second book in the Diablo’s Throne series. Diablo’s Throne was an MMA training gym.

We met Jag in book one, Cruz, and he was the gorgeous, funny and care free pseudo sibling to Layla. In Jag we find it was all a facade to hide the pain of his past; however, as the story progressed and he battled his demons, it was no longer a facade, but the real Jag and I loved everything about him. His random jokes to Sunni were awesome. And don’t get me started on his relationship with Bella (Cruz and Layla’s toddler daughter) - they were both precious and hilarious together.

I was also a fan of Sunni’s. It was obvious she was hiding something big and although we knew it involved running from an ex, it wasn’t the same sad storyline. There was a level of suspense to it that kept me hooked from beginning to end.

Bellus took us through the relationship development while uncovering individual aspects of both Jag and Sunni. Bellus also added some MMA drama that was a partial carryover from the previous book. And lastly Bellus continued to focus on the camp from Diablo’s Throne - giving us more from Cruz/Layla while developing further interest in others that we’ll see more as the series progresses.

In the end, I couldn’t put it down. It was well written (other than some editing errors), well developed and kept me captivated and laughing all at the same time. Trick is up next and I can’t wait to see where Bellus takes us now.

I truly enjoyed reading Jag. Once I began the book I had a hard time setting it down. There was a lot going on in the book but I thought the author does a job brining together all the elements. The story revolves around a MMA fighter who is estranged from his dad, MMA aspects and the Gym where they fight and train.

I love Alpha males and instant love and Jag has both. He's the dirty taking MMA fighter and falls instantly for Sunni. The author takes us on a whirlwind journey with these two. The pair are explosive together but each share secrets that could destroy their new relationship.

There might be a few triggers with some readers as there is violence and abuse in the end.

The last few chapters were difficult to stomach but with the support of her new family and friends Sunni and Jag make it through.

Man does HJ Bellus know how to pull out all the emotions in a girl. I laughed, I sobbed, I swooned, I grabbed a fan, you name it I felt it while reading Jag! I already adored Jag from reading Cruz, but now I’m completely in love with him. His story had my heart breaking then put it back together in the best way. I wish I could give this book all the stars!

Jag is this mix of intense and playful that is addictive. There is no subtle or small with this man, he’s full force all the way at all times. Fighting, loving, playing he throws all of himself into it. Because of that, when Jag loves, he loves BIG. The love he felt for Sunni pours off the pages in a way that makes you actually FEEL it. Sunni quickly became another favorite character for me. She’s a bit of a mystery, but has a heart that radiates pure kindness.

The Chemistry between these two is seriously off the charts. Sweet, sexy, laugh out loud funny at times. I LOVED THEM! Mixed in with all of that are moments that had me gasping in complete shock and on the edge of my seat dying to know what was going to happen. This book is one you can’t put down!

Jag is a great installment to this series. You get to explore another characters journey and along the way you get highlights from the previous books characters. H. J. Bellus did a great job bringing this book to life and I look forward to what's to come.

I give this book all the stars because it has all the feels. What a great story for JAG. Heidi really created a flawed, yet masterful character.
He's busted up, but wait. He isn't broken. Nope. He's tough, solid and when someone comes along carrying as much negative as he is, that is when his cracks start to seal.
"Two negatives can create a positive."
Best line EVER.
Grab a copy come release day. JAG is waiting!

I was sooo excited to read Jag!!!!

I have been patiently...well kinda patiently..lol waiting for Jag's book to come out. Book one is Cruz and of course book two is Jag in the Diablo's Throne duo. I feel you should read both books because you will fall in love with both of these fighters...and their bad ass/alpha ways!!!

We first met Jag in Cruz's book, he was funn and sooo lovable and sooo broken. He made for an Awesome read and he is such a bad ass MMA fighter!!! I was sucked right in when I opened the book!!

In Jag's book we get an insight of his crappy young life and how Boss got him out of trouble and into the gym and becoming an MMA fighter. Well, he is still rebellious and tries to be the good guy but his past still haunts him and tries to creep back in and bring him down.

He also ends up falling for the waitress at the local diner. And one night after a few drinks..well a lot of drinks, he let's her know his feelings. OMG y'all, this was sooo freaking funny, I was literally laughing my ass off at this part. That's what I love about HJ Bellus, she can have you laughing your ass off in one minute, crying the next and then making you run to turn down those air conditioners in the next..haha Her books always give you all the feels!!! lol Anyway, this waitress comes with her own drama. So when these two get together, you know its going to be a rollercoaster of a ride!! And makes for such a page turner of a read!!!

I gave Jag 5 "knock em' out" iScream Stars!!! Make sure you pick up Jag on release day and find out if these two can work all this drama out from their past and have their happily ever after???

Yes, yes, yeeeeesss!!

After reading the first book of this series, I had to check the rest of them and knowing the second one was about Jag, I couldn't wait to start! This is one of the best series I've ever read. I love a good story about fighters, it always gets me super excited and hooked with the characters and plot. I swear I can feel a rush of adrenaline every time someone fights or something dangerous happens and I love that feeling!
Anyone who read the first book will know Jag from it and will fall in love with his sassiness. He's incredible. He has a dark past that still haunts him but Boss, the Diablo's Throne coach, took him under his wing when he was a kid and needed the most and became a father to Jag. Diablo's Throne is a family and everyone has each other's backs.
This book was amazing, filled with tension, funny moments, love, hate, fights (of course) and a lot of suspense. Everything from Sunni's past stayed hidden until the end and that gave the book some serious suspense vibe. I kept me curious the whole time and I couldn't put it down. I love this series.
Can't wait to read the next one, about Trick. These guys are so much fun to read!

Another gut wrenching story in this series. Just when you think it can't get any worse, HJ Bellus throws in the mother of all plot twists. My favorite line is: “Bad memories.”“I’ve got those too.” His eyes open, revealing his vibrant blue eyes filled with heat and passion. “I’ve heard two negatives end up being a positive.”

Chapter 5 and Chapter 21 is why I will ALWAYS fuck with HJ Bellus as an author. Don't get me wrong, Jag and Sunni as a couple and getting to their happy ending was phenomenal.... but, #Boss put this book over the top.

He displayed everything Jag and Sunni needed at the time where it made the best impact.
Tough Love.
Support.
Encouragement.
A Show of family and solidarity.

If you didn't get my message on social media while I was reading then read this review carefully. The #DiablosThrone series by HJ Bellus is a MUST HAVE as a read on your device. Skip all that TBR mess and dive in. She started the category 3 winds with Cruz and have been upgraded to category 4 with Jag. There is no way but up, or follow the arrow to Daddy Monster Cock.

Seriously, though Jag and Sunni met be looks that shadowed their past demons but grew from being the love, laughter, and heart back in each others lives.

4.5 Stars for the second in the Diablo's Throne Series. I really thought it was going to be hard to give us another story as good as Cruz, but Jag....wow. You get to see him in his comedic glory in Cruz, but in Jag, not only do you see the swagger, you see the heart and the shadows of where he comes from. An old foe is reborn and threatens to rip everything apart. The one thing they have going for them, this ragtag group is more a family than some that are bound by blood. I can't wait for the next installment, hoping it'll be Trick~

Where do I even start with this book! We all knew Jag had swagger and good looks but he also has a heart of gold. He is the perfect kind of cocky. Sunni didn't stand a chance against falling for him.
This book had several twists I never saw coming and I can't wait for everyone to get a hold of this book.

This cover was my undoing. Then I read the blurb and I was a goner. Dayum...
I knew that a book written by this lady would be freaking amazing and that was the other reason that made grab it and devour it in no time.
H. J. Bellus is the bomb. Each book that I've read made me feel things and see things differently and being the greedy girl that I am I wanted so much more. Her writing is wild and intense, super engaging with a bit of darkness and desire in between.
Jag is her latest release and it's the second book from the Diablo Throne MMA series and tells the stories of Jag and Sunni.
Let me just say that the way this book started left me speechless.
Jag had a traumatic childhood, being physically abused by both parents can leave forever marks. When a stranger offers to help him he takes it to mess things up again. But after the second chance he grabs it fiercely turning his life around in the fighting world. But his nightmares never ceased to exist...
Sunni hadn't had an easy life. But a stranger quickly become a friend and a fantasy at the same time. She has a heart bigger than the world but sometimes the past can come back to hunt us...
Omg what a ride this book was. It had everything Iove aboit a good book.
The plot is amazing, very well written, super engaging and intense. The interation between the characters is beautiful despite all the darkness and secrets.
Reading this book was a joy because it gave me love, desire, friendship, loyalty as well as crime, drama, violence, lies.
There parts of the book that I couldn't stop laughing UT there were others that I was nervous and woried.
It was a rollercoaster ride of emotions and I loved every single one of them.
And ladies.... The hot stuff is there... Oh boy...
Reading this boom made me want to read the first one from this series because I have a few questions that needs some answers. Like right now...
H.J. tio are freaking amazing and this book just came to reinforce my theory. Each book was a figment journey that I really loved.
Please tell me that Trick will have his own book? Because I want to know more about him as well as keep reading about the other characters.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I so love this book and Jag!! HJ couldn’t have written him to be more perfect. I love all his craziness but then you you see him starting his downfall and his vulnerability but him trying to fight to stay strong. To his finding his will again and looking at someone in a different light. To his crazy song choices that brought a smile to my face because who cannot love Spongebob Squarepants people!!! To the way Jag loves his family and the way he protects those he loves. I mean gahhh I love Cruz but damn Jag just stole my heart and ran away with it!!! He only disappointed me once and that was honestly to be expected.
Sunni is broken and bent. And is in no means looking for anything with anyone. One she thinks she can’t and two she thinks she doesn’t deserve it. But who can resist Jag? But she knows his reputation so she thinks she’s ok. But every time she turns around he’s there breaking down her walls. But she can’t have the fairytale and she knows this. But when they are together be careful you might get burnt from the flames coming from this book!!!
I was so engrossed in this book that I had to finish it before I went to bed. So yes I finished in one day. I also was so into this book I forgot to even add it to my Goodreads til I went in to fix that I was done and realized I hadn’t even put I started!!! I forgot to eat!!! I should have started it earlier in the day so listen to me and start when you have plenty of time to finish it!! It was raw, real and I loved it!! I laughed, I cried and I laughed so hard I cried. I was on the edge of my seat for some of this book and for some of this book I had a smile on my face. And look at this review I’m rambling on and on so I will shut up and say read this book and this series!!!!

Now I haven’t read Cruz yet, I ran out of town and now I want to read it as soon as I am able to because if it is as good as Jag was then I know I will love it. Now no worries if you are like me and haven’t read Cruz, you can read Jag as a standalone.

I really enjoyed this one from the very start. It starts with us learning about Jag’s past and let me tell you something, my heart began to break but then I got to see how someone made him be a better man, that person being Boss. Sunni has her own past, her own secrets and when you learn them, you are both terrified that it is true but heartbroken because you know it’s not. Which one is it? Well, you will have to read it obviously to find out because I won’t be telling you. Jag he is funny, he is obnoxious in a good way, he is loveable and he a bit broken but he is so much more than a MMA fighter. Sunni and Jag they are meant for each other, and when everything happens I think that is what makes it so much more painful to read about because you know the love these two have for each other.

Jag is the second book in the series and I hope that Ms. Bellus will be writing more about the other fighters because I really want their stories. I really enjoyed Jag and the way that I felt the strength that these characters show each other. This proves that family doesn’t always mean shared DNA, it mean who you hold close to your heart and who you will do anything to protect and them the same for you.

Jag is the second book in the Diablo’s Throne and can be read as a standalone. I would recommend reading Cruz first because the stories have interconnecting characters and it helps get the full feel of the relationships in Jag’s story.

Jag is a one of a kind guy! He knows only one speed and that is full throttle. He loves and fights in that speed, and if he is on your side than you never have to wonder if he has your back because he does. Jag has had a rough life and Boss, the owner of the gym he fights in, saved him and helped turn his life around. He would do anything for Boss and his fighter family. And then there is Sunni who is obviously running from something or someone. She has her walls built high, but Jag crashes through those with his open and crazy personality.

I loved their crazy chemistry. No matter how hard Sunni tries to push Jag away he will not let her. I loved how patient Jag is with Sunni and how he doesn’t push her even though he knows she is hiding something. Even though they both have things in their past the way they are with each other is refreshing. They had fun and went all in with each other. When the past catches up to them will they be strong enough to fight for the life they want and deserve?

This series just keeps getting better! Jag had everything you could want in a story! I laughed, cried and laughed again. Plus, it had hot alpha fighters, so you cannot go wrong. I am enjoying this series and highly recommend it!

Another great book that takes place in the MMA world. We met Jag in the book Cruz. You get to find out the heartbreaking story behind how he came to live with Boss and Layla. And it has a profound impact on him.

But everyone has demons. Jag does, and so does Sunni. Together they try to overcome them while trying to have a relationship. Life is hard all alone, but can be so much better with someone who “gets” you. Whether you like MMA or not, it is a great story that you should not miss.

Jag is riding high on his MMA career and looking to become the champ but he is always waiting for his past to come and knock it all away , He has worked hard for this and puts his all into it.

He's a #manwhoretothecore,
He's: cocksure, cocky, confident, shameless and freakin' hilarious!
He will go down in history for his #cockcopter
I FLOVED Jag's endless humor with his t-shirts!
He's a man on a mission - he takes what he wants!

Boss built the gym on three beliefs - #HeartFireDesire - they aren't simply words in a logo or slogan but a way of life for the members of Diablo's Throne MMA.

Both Sunni and Jag are fighters - just in different ways. Jag is fighting for a title, while Sunni is fighting to survive a past that is unimaginable.
They are a force to be reckoned with. They fight hard for what they want and love even harder.
I love you madly!
I love you wildly!
You are my heartbeat!

Family isn't always blood & this book reinforces how close knit you can be without blood ties!!!

I fell in love with Cruz & Layla's story & couldn't wait to get my hands on Jag!!! He's a huge jokester & playboy. He doesn't mind laughing at himself, which really makes him even hotter.

He notices the bar maid, Sunni, who also works as a waitress at his favorite diner but for some reason he sees Sunni in a different light when he stops in for a drink or 10. He ends up drunk, not just showing off his whirly bird to Sunni but as Layla & Cruz arrive to get him home, he throws up all over Sunni.

Both Jag & Sunni both have very dark pasts they are trying at all costs to avoid. But when they start spending time together, the electricity is undeniable but will it be enough to light up their dark pasts or leave them spiraling out of control?

Love love love this book!!! A must read!!! While it is a standalone, I highly reccomend you read Cruz first, you won't be disappointed!!!

I have been waiting for this one. I loved Jag from the first book in this series and i fell even more in love with his character in this book. Jag is a fighter wanting to come back even better but is dealing with the demons from the past. He meets Sunni and she changes everything for him but she also has her own demons that could change everything in her life. I absolutely love the chemistry between Sunni and Jag. It is heart gripping right from the beginning all the way to the end. This was a great book from the beginning to the end. I absolutely love the chemistry not only between Jag and Sunni but the additional characters in this book.Well written and enjoyable. I hope there is more from this series.

✯✯5 Spongebob Filled Stars!!✯✯

Omg HJ Bellus!!! I fell for Jag in Cruz and I’ve fallen even deeper for him. He’s still the Jag I fell for but I never realized everything he’d been thru.

If you were curious to see how Jag became Boss and Layla’s adopted son/brother well you’ll find out. Yup. It gutted me. I’m glad Boss stopped Jag all those years ago.

Jag hasn’t had it easy. When Boss saves him and explains to him the proper way to fight he makes a promise to Boss and himself to use his fists for good. But, it took Jag awhile to get it straight. He was at the top of his game until he let his dad get into his head and it messed him up.

When Jag hits rock bottom he heads to the bar where he runs into Sunni. He knows her from working as a waitress at the diner, but never knew she worked here too. It’s then he realizes his feelings are there for her. OMG I’d of loved to have been in the parking lot when he was drunk, I’m just saying lol.

When Boss, Layla, Cruz and the rest of Jags fighting family show him the love and support he needs to step up to the one person who can get under his skin. Jag feels rejuvenated and goes to get Sunni. He wants her.

Sunni has laid low since she moved to this town. She’s found a cheap apartment and 2 jobs that pay her under the table. But, when Jag comes into her life and wants her she can’t say no. She knows she must either tell Jag the truth or let him go. But, he makes it so hard for her to leave. Sunni has to figure it out bc the wolf is in sheeps clothing and ready to attack to take her, Jag, Boss and everyone she considers family down.

Holy cow! This book I read in one sitting. No joke I thought I knew Sunni’s secret. But... HJ Bellus shocked me bc I wasn’t expecting what I got.

I love the guys from this MMA world. And, their leader Boss he had me tearing up multiple times. There was so many good, laughable, tearful, painful moments in this book. You have to pick it up. I’m waiting for the next guy to step up bc I’m ready!!!

I am hooked to this series!! I really loved the first in this series and looked forward to Jag's story and had some high expectations because its Jag and I just knew it was going to be a great story but I had to no idea that it was going to be this good. HJ Bellus exceeded my expectations with this one. This book had me in its clutches and my emotions were all over the place. I had no idea that the story was going to play out like it did and I freaking love that!!!

Two people who have demons in their lives they are trying to deal with. Jag's demons have come knocking and the Sunni's who has been running from her's. Jag is about to lose everything he has worked for because he hasn't opened up to anyone and just when he is about rock bottom his eyes open up to Sunni. Things change for him and he is determined to fight his demons. He knows Sunni has her's but she keeps them locked tight. Just when Sunni is finding happiness finally her's come charging in. Even though she knew the day was coming she thought it would be different this time.

I highly recommend this book, hell this series!! I have never read anything by HJ Bellus until this series and I am hooked now to her writing and can't wait to get more. This book had my jaw on the ground and my emotions running rampant. If I could have jumped into this book to hurt some people you better believe I would've. Such a great book with characters you are going to love and want more of and a story line that will have you hooked!! Let's not forget the crazy hilarious antics and things that come out of Jag's mouth. This book will have you laughing, crying, getting angry as hell, excited, and so much more. Oh and this sex scenes....SMOKING HOT!!!
