With humans and werewolves on the brink of war, Anya finds herself right in the middle. When she has a terrifying vision, which her Shaman mentor says will come to pass, she stops at nothing to try and save everyone. Armed with new responsibilities, Anya is stalked by the Skin Walker who wants nothing more than to see her dead. But when her mate, Gavin, starts acting weird and closes down their mate bond, she’s afraid she will lose everything.

DNF The editing was well done. The story wasn’t badly told, sadly I just lost interest in following along. Maybe I’ll pick it up again in the future... idk but it was a DNF
I just don't know about this book. I loved reading about the next generation but again there was soooooo much stuff going on. Why was there so much? There didn't have to be so many bad things happening at once. There could've just been one threat and you use that or built on that. SPOILERS***** Ok so here was my thoughts. I actually loved the characters Anya and Gavin. I thought they were fun and a great paring. I liked now she explained with mates that it's different from when humans date that it's an instant understanding and connection and there is a lack of insecurities because they get together so fast. I really didn't like how there was this problem with humans. I thought it was too much. I understand that yes if the humans could find a cure for cancers and other diseases that they would probably do about anything to have it. But I just felt like there was too much craziness and drama that she could've just wrote about the Skin Walker and been fine. Just made a few things different with him scarier and more intense. I really didn't like that she basically gave away what was going to happen and that certain people would die or so many. Anya didn't have a vision others did and then they tell us who was going to die or how many before the event. I mean I know it's possible people might die but why spoil it as the writer!? And how didn't Anya not put things together with Nahuel I mean I did he was getting older something was going on he might die. She did wonder what was going on but I don't remember her asking him why he was aging or putting things together until the end. I mean Really??!! My thoughts are just everywhere with this book and I wanted to love it but it was just ok. Oh and why were her parents or Anya or Gavin, although he didn't know, worried about the vampires taking Anya or then again Gavin for their blood because of what the matefinder blood can do for the vampires. I know they said that Most of the vampires lived in peace but I'm sure there was someone who probably knew Layla or was one of her followers were still alive and would want the blood to make some demon babies. I know she may not want to write about the same thing as her last series but she didn't even mention it as a worry for Anya for when she found her mate.

This book killed me downright. I was having anxiety with every turning page. With every page, something new happened. The beginning of the book was so unexpected. It stared with Lina dying and Anya seeing these scary visions. Apparently, she had to cure the dying humans by turning them into werewolf, kill the Skin Walker, and save Gavin from the preceding darkness. Yikes! Like our girl hadn’t enough things on the plate before.
And it was funny how Kai actually decided to kidnap a human because the humans were kidnapping the werewolves to cure human diseases. Not only that, the werewolves were given the status of animals. And people who actually used werewolf blood were getting some werewolf symptoms like furry arms and claws. It was Anya’s idea to do this, so both human and supernatural world can co-exist peacefully. Well... as peacefully as it can be. I think the first girl who was transformed, Beverly, will be a upcoming character in the next book if there’s one.
But what really made me cry was the death of Nahual. His white hair, wrinkles, and fast aging were huge foreshadows of his death, yet I desperately hoped that he wouldn’t die. He was one of my most favourite character. But in the end he did. Even Mason’s mate, Alexa, died when the pack was captured by the human military. It was never shown if Mason knew about it or how he reacted and all.
I felt the book was very fast paced with all the problems bombing down from 20 different sides. I would have love to see some happy and funny parts. Throughout most of the book, I was biting my nail with some occasional laughs. It would have been better if the book was a little slow. But nonetheless, it was amazing. I’m glad that Anaya got her wolf back and Gavin can shift into both a bear and a hawk. Apparently, Anya’s bear was his to begin with, but she was protecting it because there was too much darkness inside him. Overall, this book was awesome. Although I really don’t know if would like to have a third book. Don’t want all those anxiety that I got from reading this book.

This series!!!! I’m a long time fan of the Matefinder series, Kai and Aurora are some flippin awesome and badass characters and their daughter definitely takes after them. Anya is a smart kickass 20yr girl that has a shit ton on her plate but takes it mostly in stride. She has to kill this mega powerful shifter, Keep the Humans from killing off the werewolf population, Deal with losing her matefinder abilities, Focus on becoming the Anchor AND, as if that all wasn’t enough, She has to deal with her Mate, her one, pulling away and blocking the bond because he thinks he’s evil. So Yeah, Anya is a little busy. I’m torn on this next part. And I know some people might be mad at me about it. Gavin... I am not a fan. It’s just, He and Anya have such a complicated relationship that is so different compared to how Kai and Auroras went. With Kai and Aurora, they communicated, trusted eachother. told eachother everything, and protected one another. in my opinion Gavin is just not a good mate. He Barely talks to Anya the whole book, is insanly flighty, and doesn’t have that whole badass alpha protector personality that people love. to be honest He is kind of a wimp and I think Anya deserved a lot better. The side characters... Loved em! Jax and Mason are hilarious I’m really hoping for a few spin offs of Jax, Mason and Averys stories! Pretty please Leia? Little bit of a warning on this book tho... Leia is a serial killer. Very sad to see this series come to an end, but always the hopes for spin offs <3 Anywho, I’m giving this book a 4 and 1/2 out of 5 just because my thoughts on Gavin. I definitely recommend this book and series to you. :)
I've been going back and forth on this book as I was reading it. I enjoyed the MateFinder gift passed down from mother to daughter.
I liked how Anya found her mate in her dreams and Gavin was dreaming about her. It was different kind of dreams and how that worked out.
I didn't like Gavin blocking his mate bond away from Anya and not communicating with her. You find out why in the book and I understand now. Man that was frustrating to read.
Of course, the book was going great until almost the very end when I read two f-bombs.
This author is a great writer and NOT going into detailed sex scenes which I appreciate.
I'm not happy with the swear words and especially the F-bombs in the book. You can write better books without that kind of language in it. That's my preference. That's why the book is 3 stars.
I've enjoyed this journey this family went on throughout these books I read. The characters were great!
I'm not sure I will read books from this author again with my certain preferences.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review
Can I just say that I did not see that coming... like any of it! (Well actually some of it but certainly not all of it) It's generally pretty hard to surprise me with plot twists, doesn't matter how simple or complicated the author makes it, I pretty much always work it out well in advance of the reveal (though I do miss some of the subtler twists). In this case though I was like 'wtf where did that come from.'
In typical Leia Stone fashion my emotions were taken on a roller coaster ride, from happy, sad, and weary to amused and devastated. However it's all worth it in the end.
I really enjoyed this book, it's a great ending to a fantastic series. That being said I am so intrigued by all the new characters we were introduced to in this book and I would love to see further spin offs for other characters (maybe just a stand alone book that features the familiar setting and characters we love?)
We’ve waited a little while for this book, and it was worth it. If you haven’t yet read any of the previous books, I strongly recommend that you start with Matefinder and work your way forward – there’s a solid foundation built throughout the series, and you’ll be a bit lost if you haven’t read them yet. I’m sad that this was the conclusion, but what a way to go! Fast-paced from the very first chapter, this installment had a lot of ups and downs. It was interesting to see a more vulnerable side of Nahuel, who’s always seemed so unshakeable. It’s also interesting to try and figure out which is the bigger threat – the Skinwalker, or the humans? The mythology continues to fascinate me, mixing a variety of cultural backgrounds – it’s an incredibly unique and intriguing blend from across the globe – certainly not your usual take on the same old werewolf story. I can’t wait to read whatever Leia has in store for us next!
Explosive and Emotive!!💥😳😡💔😭🙏😍💘🎉 (Read using Kindle Unlimited) Walker (Matefinder: Next Generation #2)
This was a jam packed read. So much happened from the get go. I wasn't sure how all of the story arcs could possibly fit in but they did!!😲👍 There is immediate & continued loss.💔😭 Strain & threat is put on our newly mated pair from different directions.😕 Anya is put under a tremendous amount of pressure which she doesn't feel ready for. She's guided wisely but feels inadequate for the job.😔
I cried a few times throughout this book.😭 It has ugliness in it from humans & the evil skin walker!😡 I didn't think that the Matefinder gift was given anywhere enough space in this duet, especially as it's the title!🙈 We don't even meet Alice.😲 I was disappointed Jax & Avery weren't found to be mates!😔 I did enjoy the books though.🌟
This book was absolutely incredible! It pulled at my heart strings from the moment that i picked it up. When I wasn't reading all i thought about was when i was able to read again. The Matefinder series really is like no other book out there, it really is so unique! You might be asking how it can be unique when there are about a million and five other werewolf books out there but the answer to your question is " all in the pudding", as some would say lol. Leia Stone really paints an amazing picture that many authors try to capture but just don't have the capability to do so. I have to say that i was devastated to see the end come to such an incredible story but i can honestly say that it could not have been done better.
I've read all 4 books in this series and I'm sad to see it end. I've been lost in this whole incredible new world & now it's over. I've said it before, in prior reviews that Leia Stone is an incredible storyteller and I believe that now more than ever. As I've read this series,I felt everything as if I were living it along with each of the characters. And that's what I LOVE about reading and it's one of the hardest things to find - an author who can pull me into the story so deeply that I don't notice anything except what's happening to " us" right now. Leia Some is that type of author & I'm excited to see the next adventure and has planned for us. Who would I recommend this book to? Anyone who loves to read.
***First I want to start off by saying I was given a copy of this book by the talented author Leia Stone for my true and honest opinion.*** Once I started reading the book I couldn't put it down it sucked me in just like all the Meatfinder series had. So it was no surprise that Leia had out done herself yet again. My emotions were on a rollercoaster of ups and downs and I was always left guessing what would happen next. I don't want to give anything away and ruin it for you. So pick up your copy today and see how the story ends you won't be sorry.
Even though this was a stand-alone series to Matefinder, I reallt considered it apart of the first series. It was absolutely amazing. Amung all the drama, hectic and truly horrid times, Anya tries to find her place in her world. And does she ever. She faces living in the shadow of her mother, becoming something that wasn't ever meant to be her journey and the obstacles along the way that interfere with her new mate and matebond. Its just really empowering to read and amazing to watch as Anya and Gavin come into their place in their new world.
Absolutly amazing I've read a lot of werewolf books and this is by far one of the very best! A must read but make sure you read the whole series. Truly one talented author :) this book has twists and turns at every scene. Won't spoil it in the review but this is a must read for any supernatural fans out there!!
The only thing I dislike is I believe the author could write one more series on from this featuring the ending being gavin and anyas kids. It's not often an author remembers that the readers likes to here about the stars family and leia has definitely accomplished that feat
Please don't let this be the end of the Matefinder 's story!what happens in the future to Anya, Gavin, Jaxon, Avery and the rest of the characters we have come to luv and care about? This series is outstanding and I for one want more. Imagine that werewolves are real and the humans just found out; how do you think people would react? How would you react? That is the basis for this storyline. It's not only entertaining but it's also thought provoking. Highly recommended.
Couldn't have asked for a better ending to Anya and Gavin's story! It had me glued from the first page to the last. Throughout the book I was either grinning, laughing or trying not to cry. I loved how you get to see the old gang yet they don't take over the story... It was filled with action and drama that keeps you turning pages to find out the outcome and it didn't disappoint. Would definetly recommend and I pray there's going to be a book for Jaxon :D
Well, this book had my emotions all over the place. I absolutely loved it, but my heart just couldn't handle it all. Anya is such an amazing character, her strength is amazing. Gavin has been through so much, and this book broke my heart for him at times. Nahuel, that man is absolutely incredible, and I enjoyed his role in this story. This was a nice conclusion to the Matefinder series, but I have to be selfish and say I want to see some babies!!!!!! I loved this book, and you will too.
In need more!!!! Brilliant ending for this series with Anya and Gavin! I loved these two together and enjoyed them even more in this story. This book, like its predecessors, has action, devastation and struggles. Within its pages, it also has love, strength and triumph. Great story and I'm crossing my fingers that other characters are speaking to her and we can find out more about our beloved Wolfpack.
So well written and captivating. The story flows nicely from the last one and we get to see all our beloved characters again and meet some new ones. If you love shifter books... this series is for you, but make sure you read the Matefinder ones first then these next gen ones.
Seriously though. A must read. not a single story from Leia Stone has disappointed yet. (Check out her series while you are at it!!)
I been waiting for this last book a little while but not to long. Never had I cried so many tears in this one! You will cry :-( but it was an amazing one, I loved this whole story of matefinders shifters and humans of course and witches, it was definitely good and sad.I was glad to see anya's mom and dad in here I did miss them. Believe me I don't wanna give to much away but give all these ones a read!! 5 stars baby!! I love this author
After reading the first 3 in the matefinder series i had such high hopes for this. I was dissapointed. It felt rushed. I didn't feel the chemistry between Anya and Gavin and I was just left feeling a bit like id wasted my time reading it. It didn't seem realistic and Anya was not how I envisaged her, I expected her to be like her mother. Stick to the rangefinder series and not this one it's much better.
Ok so I guess this was a decent conclusion, all though we all know that there definitely could have been more story especially with what happen with Gavin. I don't want to put out any spoilers. Another fast paced story, this author is straight to the point for sure but she is a good story teller. Anya is not my favorite character in the 2 series but she's ok. I like this story world and wish there would have been at least another book. Oh well
It was a good book but it left too many unanswered questions. Such as Mason’s mate, why Emma had a new mate like Max, was Jax never to have a mate since he was in love with Emma’s daughter. Why no pictures of Mason’s mom? What happened to his adoptive parents, what about the council (Kia’s father) and I’m surprised she is not pregnant. “REALLY” Did Mason ever get his Witches Wine.😏
The final story did not disappoint. As usual, the story picked up from where it left off in the first book, and from there, it sailed smoothly with plenty of actions and closing the tale with a satisfying ending. BUT...
I wished the final touch about getting a reading of the mate pairing was for Anya's twin and not for some random werewolf. Perhaps Leia Stone purposely left it unknown for her future book? Only time will tell.
Matefinder was the first book I ever read by Leia Stone and I fell in love with her world of Werewolves, Witches, and Vampires. I loved her take on the supernatural. Walker is the second book in the her next generation of that same pack from Mt. Hood. I loves the fast pace of this story as we continue to follow Anya and her mate as they try to find a way to deal with the Skinwalker once and for all. Only now there's a new threat as humans have discovered that werewolf blood will cure them. Now Anya, and all werewolves are now targets of the humans. What a fantastic story in this book. Leia spins a great tale that I've come to expect from her. This one had many ups and downs and some tears were shed as Leia brings an end to the story that introduced me to her writing. A great read and I'm looking forward to see where she goes next.
So i was all over the place while reading it! it was a rollercoaster of emotion! another great book by leia stone. i'm sad that this was the last one in the serie, but i have to say it had a great ending! and you can see how the caracters develop growing up. I just loved it. can't wait what leia has in store for us next.
Yes, spoiler alert... a couple of my favorite characters are killed off, and no- I won't say who. But somehow I still thought the book was really good! I would have liked to have seen more of the character development in the MC, which is why it received 4 stars for me.
Leia Stone amazes me again and again... I highly recommend that you read Matefinder Next Generation
Experience the journey Leia Stone has in store for you, you will not be disappointed. She is an excellent author who keeps you enthralled page by page. A definite FIVE STAR 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 rating !!
