Please note that this title was previous released in Trial by Flame Autumn thought she knew who she was then she discovered she was a rare type of dragon shifter called a Supreme Dragoon. Now she is heading to her new mate’s home world to meet more of their kind. Nerves were to be expected, but Autumn is about to get more than she bargained for. Kirall always knew who he was, a Prime Dragoon, one of the strongest of his kind. He'd never doubted who he was or his place until he traveled to Earth and met her. Autumn descended from a line of Dragoon thought to have died out many millennia ago. Their mating changed all he'd been taught to believe. Together they will face challenges neither of them expected. With their mating threatened and everything Kirall holds dear in jeopardy, it’s up to Autumn to show who really is the baddest Dragoon of them all.
This picks up right after Autumn and Kirall mate. Before they head to Autumn's lair they decide to stop by Kirall's parents house where everything starts to go left. We see exes, somewhat bigoted parents, and just everybody going crazy. This has a lots of ups and downs with Autumn and Kirall.
I do understand that Autumn has had a very rough life and it is very hard for her to trust anybody however I felt like she could have given Kirall just a bit more Trust. There were times where I felt as though he didn't deserve any trust but there were other times where I wanted to let Autumn know that he is choosing you every single time so just take a step back breathe and give him all the trust that you can muster.
The way that this ended was in a definite cliffhanger. I need to know more about what in the hell is actually going on. It is looking like Autumn's entire lineage was deliberately murdered. It looks like this goes back all the way to the very first Supremes and how one particular Gold Dragon family is the cause of all the Supremes dying.
I really hope and wish that M.K. Eidem does not have me wait a long time to figure out what is going on. I have to admit that she is not the type of author that cranks out three or four books a year but when she cranks them out they are well worth the wait.
Autumn and Kirall continue their story, as they travel to his home planet. Predjudices and Sexism proliferate a society that has grown stale under it's council of old farts. A spoiled old f.buddy of Kirall's seeks to undermine Autumn. Much like the first instalment, but less violent. Ends on an HFN... Who killed Autumn's family and collaborated with the enemy??
Anyhoo, I enjoyed it for the brief fluffy entertainment it was.
WHILE IT WAS SHORT AND COMPACT FOR A DRAGON ROMANCE NOVEL, I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT. ALPHA DRAGON, MEET ALPHA MISTRESS.
THIS REVIEW IS WRITTEN FOR KIRALL'S KISS AND AUTUMN'S KISS.
THIS STORY STARTED OFF AS ANY TYPICAL SCI-FI PARANORMAL ROMANCE, AND THEN BAM GOOD STUFF!
KIRALL experiences his Joining Heat much earlier than expected to his bewilderment as he and his men close in on planet Earth. As unexplainable the situation is, he expected to have a human female Kristy to 'service' him but instead got our sweet little virgin - Autumn. The unexpected discovery and the bewitching soft female enchants him to talk and share about his people and home world, their long hours and also sex leads to intimacy that finally makes him realize that Autumn is his long awaited mate. Book 1 ends with them mating for good, while Book 2 starts with their new life on Mondu. Kirall's not hard to like, he's arrogantly alpha male, protective and eager to please his mate and sexy. He's also patient with his mate, teaching her the ropes of her new identity and also helping her to adjust to her new life. His family while judgemental at first were merely protective of him and soon welcomed her into the family. Too bad the ex-lover drama was so mild, I wished there was more angst.
AUTUMN is a sweet, innocent female who suffered a traumatic attack at 10 years old, losing her family to 'lizards' that still haunt her dreams. Of course, the humans believed her to be insane for cooking up a story like that and kept her on medications and such. When she was freed at 18, she was lucky to meet a woman who helped her set her life on track. Autumn's barely making ends meet and when her room mate pleads for her to take a 'job' she has to bail out on, Autumn fills in Kristy's shoes and meets with Kirall. Unfortunately, she never knew that it was actually a SEX job. I don't even know if prostitution is the right label for it. Anyway, she's going to get a wild ride experience that doesn't include just sex but also discovering that humans aren't the only evolved species roaming the universe.
OVERALL it wasn't very in-depth but with just enough information to satisfy your curiousity and to keep you reading forth, since the author will reveal more about this ficitonal world of Dragons as the characters progress deeper into their mating. I just wished we could have read Autumn's 100 year heat session. That would have been HAWT!
2 1/2 So the story is interesting enough but the telling very simplistic and the characters immature. The jealousy and attacks without considering is the biggest show of this. Also, it is one moment understood that it is alright for her to be jealous but the opposite is not the case. This happens over and over. There is always over reaction and then if he is jealous, is told that 'no need because she is his', vise versa doesn't seem to work.
So I accidentally read this after the 3rd book of the serial. The first novella is a stand-alone and doesn't leave in a cliffhanger really as it is assumed that there will be a happily ever after, only this is a continuation and the HEA doesn't happen, and it takes 2 more novellas to get to the end of the second complete story. This one ends in a cliffhanger, so on top of the childish like characters and writing, but with a decent story and imagination, the cliffhanger just makes it an OK read. Combine it with the next and I'll give it a 3 as a scifi erotic romance. It is a fluff read that isn't bad, if you like fluff, then this will appeal, sometime I'm in the mood. Have both Autumn's Kiss and Supreme's Kiss ready to read to get the full second story.
I love MK Eidem's books, especially Cassandra's Challenge which was a full book. I enjoyed Autumn's Kiss until I realized it is a SERIAL. I saw this also with the book ROAR. So the books suck me in and then at the end I find you have to buy another book to find out what is next. So my vow is not to buy them. I don't know why so many authors are doing this now rather than doing a full book.
What I enjoyed so much about Cassandra's Challenge were all the twists and turns and just when I thought the story might end it continued on into an entirely different direction and I fully enjoyed the experience. The characters were so well developed that I continued on to reading her other books about the people mentioned in the book. That isn't a serial. Often an author will take a character from one book and enrich the story in another. It doesn't leave me flat with the story as a serial...stay tuned for more.
Ok this one was better than the first, that was mostly sex and was disapointing. I love this author usually and I’ve read all her books. I love her series because they are full books that unravel a complete universe than expend with more books with recurring characters and more plots with twists and turns. This one though....well the second book...this one was better than the first, more complete in my opinion but still short with cliffhanger....hate that...seriously hate it and when you consider that Kirall’s kiss was 2 years ago...yeah i’m not holding my breath. Series like this i prefer to buy when they’re all out because I don’t have the patience to wait. So yes the story was good, more developped and more engaging but again..cliffhanger.....sooo read at your own risk...lol
This sequel was awesome. The descriptions and imagery really come to life buttttt....... this ending/ cliffhanger though is so terrible I mean how could you leave me like this MK?How? The next book needs to come out like next week, I just finished this one. I mean what, what is Cai going to do? Like oh my gosh I cannot believe you. This is by far one of the best but the worst cliffhangers ever. I was so wrapped up in the imagery and the storyline my goodness and the plot there are no words. Also a side note I want Autumn to really get Tovi’s daughter Maaki (however it’s spelled). But keep on keeping on. I absolutely love the Tornian series (Grim & Lisa are my favorite). But I cannot wait for the next one! (pins and needles)
I was so pleased that the author choose to continue the story begun in Kirall's Kiss! Book 2 was even better IMO than book 1, as difficult as that is. The characters were more developed to show even more aspects of them and their relationship, and a whole new world to explore! With even more sexy dragons available for future books! I can't wait to see where the story goes from here, will Cai find his lady love next?
I read books like most people eat or breathe. I have been actually reading since I was two years old. I have loved many books and series, this is among those books. I would recommend it to anyone but especially to those that are suckers for a true love story no matter who, what, or where it takes place. It would appeal to those who are into dragons, and space aliens, and who like a new look at the old lore of Earth.
This installment of Autumns story is well worth the wait. In Kirall's Kiss we met Autumn and the struggles she has been through before meeting her mate. In Autumn's Kiss we follow them to the Dragoon home world and the new challenges they face together. I will anxiously await the next book to find out the rest of the story.
I really do like these books but it seems the author is now writing short books with cliffhangers instead of one book like she used too. If her books continue on like this I won't be reading anymore from her. This is a shame cause I truly like M.K. Eidem's books.
I liked that it was a continuation of the kiralls kiss but I felt that although it was a great story it seemed to jump around a lot and be a bit clunky..it felt as if the author wrote it like a structured essay with a word limit...so would I recommend, yes I would just because I like the characters...
Kiss Series #2 This book pretty much takes up where the first book leaves off and ends with a mystery that definitely needs solving, so I am of the opinion that there will be at least 1 more book in this series. I enjoyed this book more than the first one and I'm hoping that this series only continues to get better.
Magic, mayhem and danger. That is what Autumn's new world is. She feels her mate stood up for his ex heat mistress, and not her. So once again, she must go on alone with only her Dragon. Great series, I hope the next book is not long in coming .
I have read both books and am completely intrigued. The storyline is suspenseful and interesting. The characters are really developing as is the world they live in and their culture. I can NOT wait for textbook in the series.
This book is brill please tell me that there is a lot more of them to come this is a book u cannot put down till u have read it all also could u write a little book saying they had baby dragoons please .
I enjoyed this book. You need to read book 1 as this continues the story. They go to his home planet expecting his family to welcome Autumn but there are complications and political manoeuvres. It ends on a HFN, some issues still need to be resolved.
I liked the way this book gave more info on the race and the background. And I even understood where it ended but I am very unhappy that she threw in that last paragraph. I HATE IT when you are left with the supercliffhanger at the end of book when who knows when the next one is coming.
I like Autumn being strong and assertive. She has already suffered so no need taking crap from dragoon’s who she has to live with. Kirall needs to keep it 100 with Autumn - she can take it! When is book 3 coming out?
Audiobook was awesome. This story left off in a bit of what seems to be a cliffhanger. Autumn heads back to the home world of the dragoon’s and ends up dealing with judgmental in laws and a few surprises that Kirall kept from her. Can’t wait to see what the next book holds.
This series just keeps getting better and better. Now that Autumn and Out all are on Mondu they start shaking up the Dragoon home world within days of their return.
Like her first 2 books in this series it was a great read. Smooth flow from where the book before ended, characters are realistic and interesting. Leaves reader wanting to know more, even the "bad" guys..
I don’t know if it’s because the book is shorter than the other series, but it felt rushed and not as well thought out. Though I do like that Autumn is standing her ground in some things.
