P.S. Meraux’s creative storytelling has captivated young adult readers in her bestselling and award-winning Luminary saga. In FLARE, the seventh volume, Meraux wraps up the phenomenal love story of the young girl, Emily, who must choose between multiple soul mates and who develops extraordinary powers.

** The long awaited conclusion to Emily Wren’s complicated love life.**

The girl who unexpectedly became a larval haxa is certain of who her soul mates are. The only problem is, they’re not with her anymore. She’s determined to see them again despite the obstacles placed in her path; one by the Paragons who are supposed to be protecting her. They maybe magical immortals but they’ve got nothing on her when it comes to stubbornness --- at least not if she has anything to say about it.

Her burgeoning powers keep flooding her dreams with messages. Nobody warned her that the biggest problem with visions is that they’re not always easy to decode. Will these new gifts help keep her loved ones safe --or is the ultimate price for such talents too high?

Just as the foundation of Emily’s world begins to crumble before her eyes… secrets will be exposed, treachery revealed and a Luminary ally enters the scene. All of her questions are finally answered.

With stunning twists and challenges for Emily and her soul mates,  Flare  is a roaring masterpiece of imagination, love and adventure— that burns with intensity and flickers in the reader’s thoughts long after the last page is turned.

Early reviews:
"This is one of the best young adult series I've read! Flare and the whole Luminary saga is in a wildly different genre than all other YA novels, including Twilight!" --- New York Times Daily News

“An epic YA story written in rich detail that captures your heart, soul and funny bone. It’s nice to read a paranormal romance that doesn’t have its characters fall hopelessly in love in the first chapter of book one. The ending of this story will be talked about for a long time.”— CNN, on Flare

"This book reaches out and grabs your heart. P.S. Meraux’s writing makes you laugh and cry in the same chapter, which keeps you turning the pages." - Annie Bronson ★★★★★

"Wow. My mind is just blown! P.S. Meraux has created a stunning world that’s totally original and appeals to young and old readers. A place where there is good and bad magic, love and hate-- and a story line that is astonishing. If you think you know these characters prepare for a wonderful twist that will make you go ‘well damn’ I didn’t see that coming. Emily’s gifted but so is this author.” - Lauren Oliver ★★★★★

"What a wonderful conclusion to this series and OMG getting there is an emotional roller coaster ride. P.S. Meraux is truly a gifted writer and everyone should read the Luminary saga. You will be swept up by the incredible writing, humor and tears. I definitely wish this wasn’t the end, I love this universe! - Lisa Bloom ★★★★★

About the author

P.S. Meraux

P.S. Meraux writes books about paranormal chaos, sassy heroines, and creatures who are just a little unhinged (in the best way). She's an Indie and Amazon bestselling author—which sounds fancy until you realize it just means she drinks too much coffee and argues with fictional people for a living. Her stories mix sci-fi, mystery, romance, and a generous helping of “wait, did that just happen?”

P.S. has a thing for supernatural oddballs, morally gray weirdos, and badass women who save themselves (and occasionally punch vampires in the face). Her idea of worldbuilding is "let's break everything and see what grows back."

Originally from South Carolina, she now lives in Atlanta, Georgia, where her backyard is suspiciously full of fireflies and dubiously English for someone not living in a BBC period drama. There may or may not be faeries. There is definitely sarcasm.

This story picks up pretty much where the characters were at the end of Beam only Emily doesn't know where her soul mates are and wonders if she'll ever see them again. She tries to go on with her magical training with Myling but she is still haunted about what happened. I really love these characters and the manner in which P.S. Meraux has developed a way to extend the life span of this romance in a way that I didn't think possible.

One of the problems that I had with the story is with David. He wants to do the right thing.. He can be such a stubborn knucklehead because he doesn't want to get hurt, but he's head over heels in love with Emily. And he just doesn't want to admit it. The confession is a long time in coming. I was surprised that I found myself ready to cheer!

And the way that Josh keeps watching over Emily makes me wonder if the transformation of his character is as complete as the other Paragons believe. This gave me hope that perhaps there might be a sequel one day even though this is the last book in the series.

I hated the shapeshifter. The way he played with them all, hiding in plain sight like that, but ultimately he got what he deserved. Despicable wretch!

I liked the way it ended. Although I was astonished at the twists and turns the story took to get there.
Everything is settled and she has only one soul mate now. Plus Emily's getting her way. She's always been this feisty character and remains true to that trait.
Great Series!
