Chelsea
When I was a child my favorite fairytale was Beauty And The Beast. I dreamed of sacrificing myself for my father, and bravely going to an enchanted castle to live with the Beast. There I gently kissed the beast and transformed him into a handsome Prince.

Now, I'm an adult, and it appears I have somehow wandered into the enchanted mansion of a beast. He is cold and harsh and cannot be transformed with a gentle kiss, but strangely, I don't want to transform him.
Every single atom in my body, from the tips of my hair to the soles of my feet vibrates, throbs, and calls for my beast to take me ... again and again.

Thorne

Soon the whole world will know my name ... but first I have a distraction to deal with. The matter of a manipulative lying little thief.

When I catch up with her, those bright, scheming eyes try their best to work their magic on me. Somebody should have told Chelsea Appleby no one steals from Thorne Blackmore.

She tells me she will pay me back. She is sorry. She wants more time. The problem is I don't actually need the money back. What I need is to punish her. To possess and own every beautiful inch of her body.

I want to leave my mark on her delicate English skin. Forever.

I enjoyed this one. The author intricately wove an incredible backstory throughout the book which took great skill as a a writer.

Chelsea stole $300,000 from her employer Thorne Blackmore and disappeared. He spent two years finding her and in lieu of him turning her into the authorities she must be his “companion” for three months.

This may not be of interest to some because the heroine is compelled/blackmailed into sexual servitude. But in the overall story it gels because of the HEA but it may be a turn off to some readers. It is a consensual relationship. The only problem I had is that there were some unresolved emotional trauma that concerned me. It’s not my favorite book by this author but it was a good read that kept me interested.

Sorry but this just didn’t really work for me.

Before I start my review I have to say that Georgia Le Carre is one of the authors I look out for and I’ve read and enjoyed most of her books.
So I had high hopes when I started this but it just didn’t work for me.

It was a bit of a mess and tried to be too many things with not enough time spent on any of them.

Chelsea stole three hundred thousand dollars from her boss Thorne Blackmore. He spends a fortune and two years of his time searching for her to get her out of his system.
She agrees to be his for 3 months.
Thorne is a brilliant billionaire who’s never know love and compassion.

So far so good.

So he brings Chelsea to the U.K. where he discovers she’s more than he originally thought and it’s obvious he’s never letting her go.

There’s more but I don’t want to spoil it all. It was just too much for me it didn’t fit together or flow and seemed forced in places.

It ends at 27% and then there’s the bonus books.

🌟🌟🌟STARS.

I have read a lot of Georgia Le Carre and I usually love her work but I have to admit this one wasn't my favourite.
It wasn't awful it was just an OK read for me.
First, that synthesis was a real puller only problem was it had little to do with the actual plot here.
Blackmailed by the beast was a bit of a mish-mash that sometimes worked but at other times left me scratching my head in confusion.
A lot of issues I found here were just inserted into the story and then not tied up so overall this felt at times finished and unmessy.
I'm assuming the final words here were to leave a bit of an opening for maybe a second book.
So maybe that's why there seemed to be holes in the storyline.
I'll give you an example Chelsea gets warned off by an ex-girlfriend, don't get to cosy she said.
Well, we never hear from this girl again.
There's a lot more of the same throughout.
I did like this but didn't love it.
I think the main reason was that it wasn't quite what I thought it to be and I found it to be a lot shorter than what I was initially expecting.
It still found this entertaining and I did finish so that's a plus.

...in the industry they call him The Beast, because he is so cold and ruthless, his methods are pitiless

Thorne Blackmore was a said businessman for whose company Chelsea Appleby worked as his close employee and unfortunatelly stole 300 000 dollars two years ago, and ever since she's been on a run, changing identities, and covers, living under an alias Alison Mountbatten ...until one day, he enters her working place in New York city and demands a payment. And it's not just in money. Either that or jail time.
"What do you want from me?"

"I want you to pay your debt with your body. For three months, you will be my toy. You will sleep when I tell you to sleep, you will eat when I tell you to eat, and when I tell you to spread your legs, your only thpught will be, how wide. During that season when you will be mine, I will use you when, where and how i decide."

"Why are you doing this?"

"Because I can. Now strip."

and after that, I was sold, LOL

But of course, the story gets deeper and deeper into the relationship that started purely as a revenge sexual exploit BUT then, the fact still stands that there was more behind the sexcapade behind the dirty sheets. Two years ago, there were feelings and attraciton combined between them and even though now, Thorne feels betrayed and angry and filled with resentment and revenge plans, it back fires when those feels come rushing back.

Now, he just wants to find out the reason behind Chelsea's action od stealing his money, and he wants to find out what is beneath her seemingy cold/empty posture she shows off, cause after all, it never was just about the money...
I was not interested in the money. All I ever wanted was you. I can't be too sorry for blackmailing you into coming to live with me because it was the best fucking thing I did in my life.

Yes, Chelsea was never indifferent towards Thorne, even since the first time she saw him, she couldn't keep her heart from feeling smth that she was afraid iof letting in...
I will never let him think I feel anything but disgust for him. I will not allow him to destroy me. I cannot let him see or touch the vulnerable soft spot that I have spent my whole life hiding.

and she's been hiding a horrible crippling secret for a long time...and when the piling events come cracking the armour exposing the horrible experience she's been through, the only person who will keep her on her feet standing strong and safe will be Thorne Blackmore.
"No more tears for you. Not even happy tears."

And beside this second chance story, there's a suspenseful underline one that covers Thorne's business side and it brings an additional captivating sneaking feel of smth that's looming in the shadows and can not be controlled no longer...

I actually loved this story very much and now, I'm gonna explain why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

I simply wanted more. I felt like there was still a small venue for bringing in more, more of everything, more of Thorne's and Chelsea's peeling each other's layers on emotional level, cause the passionate moments were in abundance.

And maybe I'm greedy LOL but I just can't help the feeling of experiencing this beautiful reunion between these characters, that started in a bit of a different direction regarding their first interaction, but then it evolved into smth more, awaken from the shadows of hurt and betrayal.

Regardless of my never-ending rant, I think this is one of the most intriguing works by Georgia Le Carre.

WTF! What did i just read!?!?

This book had NOTHING to do with the description...nothing. It is a scatter mess of a book that has multiple personalities and schizophrenic storylines. Is is a revenge book, a survivor of abuse book, a sci-fi book, a sex book a mommy issue book, I need a therapist book, or a book that has a made up summary to pull in a beauty and the beast fan? . WTF! I still don’t know what I just read.

I use to love this author and after the last couple of books I have to ask what the heck happened?

What a terrific story this was. I found this book to be powerful and steamy yet sexy and heartwarming. This is the story of Chelsea Appleby and Thorne Blackmore. I want to start off by saying Chelsea's childhood is heartbreaking. I don’t know how she lived thru what she did but my heart broke for her. Chelsea who stole money from Thorne and he is now after her but is he after her for the money or for her beauty? In Thorne’s eyes, she is his prey and he is bound to find her after she goes on the run and undercover to hide from him. When he finally finds her, he tells her Three months of total sexual submission to repay the debt or she will go to prison.
Thorne couldn’t forget the young beautiful girl. He would have given her anything yet she stole from him and that has driven him to search for her to make her pay. Now he has her yet he is battling the emotions that she makes him feel. He figures the 3 months will give him time to work out his feelings for her enough that by the time 3 months are over, he will be through with her. Thorne also likes that he can dominate her and use her during this time. Thorne is ruthless man , especially with Chelsea yet during the time he is with her, he softens during the time they are together; especially as he learns more about her background and how she was treated by her family. I have to say, their chemistry is explosive and hot. The heat they generate is steamy good. Lots of twists and surprises in this read. Will Thorne open his heart all the way and let Chelsea in or will he let her good once he gets his “pound of flesh”? This is a good story that will warm all that reads this; the author did a really good job of writing a modern day version of beauty and the beast.

What’s better than a hunky geek? A billionaire hunky geek with a bit of street life in him that’s what!! Thorne Blackmore. Gahhhhhh such deliciousness! And who in tarnation benefit from his over the top possessiveness and caveman hulk tendencies??!!! Chelsea!

What happens when you do wrong for what seemed like the right reasons at the time? Thorne or Chelsea find out the hard way! There are so many elements to this story. Although they tie beautifully together, this story scared me! I wish I could say more but of course what I wish to say would spoil the story for you. However because you all know by now I can’t keep quiet about everything, Chelsea’s mom and Thorne’s parents aren’t worth the spark two pennies make rubbed together! Evil is too good of a word to describe those butt wipes!

With that being said, the story is dark. You won’t like Chelsea initially because she seems odd and OFF. Things spiral quickly out of control outside of T and C. I’m scared as heck to learn more so fingers crossed this is the end....or not.

One complaint....Thorne’s physical description doesn’t match the cover and Chelsea goes from having fair hair to dark brown hair throughout the story. Drove me a bit crazy as I am a visual person. This is the only reason this story isn’t five stars.

4 stars!

I wish it was a bit longer. The story really had a potential to leave deeper impact if was a full length book.

Otherwise apart from some really sick parts of Grandfather and Chelsea's mother the story was really amazing.

The characters are great but due to short length I didn't feel their chemistry bloom.
The technological part put into it was definitely a good idea. The last few paragraphs if epilogue had me hanged up.

Chelsea is so strength-ful. How come anyone like anyone has faced this much of atrocities?? At some point I thought her whole family to be clinically insane. I am happy she got her kind beast which she always wanted.

A beautifully descriptive, intense story, that could only have been written by Georgia. It feels like yet again she pushed the limits for us as readers and I suspect for her herself as an author on this on. Where the story begins, is absolutely a million miles away from where it ends. I think that's why I'm at 4 stars, because I couldn't believe that I got to the end so fast, I could have read much more.

The story weaves seemlessly back and forth through time, with an edgy, old school class - I don't know how she does it time after time to be honest. She definitely writes 'the thinking woman's' smut!

Loved the playlist too, great choices Georgia (Pink's - Try was my favorite).

Talk about cover love!!
I'M EXCITED!!!

Georgia always keeps her stories real, uptodate whilst it's something you can relate to. No different with this book. A story that contains a number of hidden elements that don't disappoint. Chelsea has a past, can Thorne break her down and make her his. Loved the storyline as well as the little surprise at the end.

This is new author to me - but she has a long backlist of intermingled books I really want to check out. This one I believed to be a standalone unrelated to any other book - which is why I read it!! Also available last fall on Prime reading...I think it's just KU at the moment.

This was a quick little romance - not much time to fall in detailed love but still got me and was believable!! Lots of little insta love moments that I enjoyed!! Definitely a lot of crap backstory that I usually hate - parental abuse. But written very well!! I will definitely be checking out more from this author especially the series stuff!

I'm still trying to process all the information I had while reading this book...

I've told a million times how much I love the fairy tale The Beauty and the Beast. So, nothing more natural I always read any adapted book of this story. But after reading this book, I concluded that this here is not an adaptation of that fairy tale, except for the simple fact that the main character has the nickname of The Beast because he's so cold and ruthless, his methods are pitiless.

After seeing the title and the blurb, of course I loved the cover (I need to find out who this model is)

But let's go to the story itself:
Chelsea Appleby stole $300,000 from Thorne Blackmore and disappeared in the world, changing country and assuming another identity. It took him two years, and several PI, to discover her whereabouts in NY. He goes after her and makes a proposal: she would stay with him for 3 months being his new sextoy, or he would call the police.

She even tries to run away from him, but this time he was prepared.
He takes her to his home in England, in Richmond.

The reader thinks that he would lock her in some dungeon or jail, feeding her 3 times a day and f#@% her all the time, right?

WRONG !!

He puts her in a room next to his, with a bigger closet than her apartment in NY, full of famous designer clothes, as well as shoes and jewels (okay, I want somebody to get revenge on me like that!!)

And from the beginning, the reader sees through his POV how he admits she has power over him.

WAIT A MINUTE!!

Over 2 years ago, when he did the job interview with her, it's okay if he felt attracted to her. She is a pretty woman. But they did not have any relationship beyond that. She steals him, runs away, stays two years out, and he says she has power over him? And a little later he admits to being in love?

Because of his feelings for her, he does not want revenge, but to know her and to help her.
From there, the reader begins to understand Chelsea's past, why she has nightmares and, until recently, was considered frigid by her 2 ex-boyfriends.

From that part, the story takes a better shape.
He helps her overcome her past, and she helps him enjoy his future.

Despite what the blurb says, the book is not DARK.
Instant love. HEA.
Definitely, the Beast deserved more...

Blackmailed by the Beast is actually a compilation of a few short stories to which the first short story/ novella is given the same title as the book cover.

BbtB was a fun read that seems like it could eventually be a full length story. There are however a lot of gaps in the plot and Chelsea’s background story doesn’t seem to mesh with Thorne’s story. They met and had a brief employer/employee relationship until Chelsea stole money from Thorne. Their reunion is by Thorne’s design, and he wants to make Chelsea suffer while he reaps the benefits from his ownership of her for the next three months so she can pay back her debt. There is good chemistry between Chelsea and Thorne, however the story lacks flow. Chelsea is just too eager to pay her debt to Thorne and their real lives don’t always coincide with the realities of their world.

All in all, this is a fun little romp of a read that has some potential to be an interesting full length if the author so chooses.

What an amazing book this was. I have 2 favourite authors and Georgia has to be one of them. I found this book powerful and steamy yet sensual and heartwarming. Thorne the main character is a very vibrant figure yet his heart is lost to this woman Chelsea, even though he thinks he can rid himself of the feelings he has for her. This book really enthralled me from start to finish. I love the way Georgia can hold my interest as well as my every breath with her books, who would have thought an author could have such control over one of her readers. I wish i could give this book 50 stars....I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book for a totally unbiased review.

Wow just wow i didn't expect less from my favourite author but this book blow my mind and the epilogue, i was in book hungover after reading.Blackmailed By The Beast is amazing book with amazing writing, great characters and story development ,pefect alpha hero and likable, independent heroine.
The story
The story begins with Thorne finally finding Chelsea after two years searching for her.She stole from him while working in his company, and he is not the men you want to steal from. From the first moment Thorne see Chelsea he knew she is special and so he make a deal for her.Spend three months with him or prison.Chelsea know that she doesn't have a choice, three months with him is better than prison, but she know that her heart and soul is in jeopardy because Thorne is men who can easily broke her heart. Can those two have HEA?because between them are lies, and secrets from the past .

Overall amazing book,i was captured from the first page till the last. The story is past-paced with edgy element and the drama effect is in great dose. Not to much but enough so you are always on edgy.Do yourself a favor buy this book.

BLACKMAILED BY THE BEAST by Georgia Le Carre STOLE MY HEART! I picked up the book because of the mega hot cover but what was inside was even more entrancing!

THE STORY:
After stealing 300, 000 from her boss, Thorne Blackmore,  and running off to NYC he finally catches up with an aghast Chelsea Appleby. Still reeling from the shock, she tries to apologize but the cold, ruthless billionaire has no interest in her feeble excuses and makes her a non negotiable deal. She either goes to prison or comes to live with him—as his sex toy—for three months to pay off her debt!

Having no choice, she reluctantly  agrees to his outrageous terms but rather than being locked in a dungeon and treated abhorrently,  she is swept up into a  world of glitz and glamour and fiery passion beyond her wildest dreams!  Chelsea was already half in love with the brilliant AI robotics inventor before but once her enigmatic blackmailer’s cold, steel walls start to come down and she sees glimmers of the  kind, chivalrous, deeply loving man inside, she  loses her heart completely. But can she earn back his trust and affection?

Thorne has always been obsessed with the breathtaking English beauty but her cunning betrayal cut deep and he assumed she was a selfish  manipulative little thief who deserves to be punished and used as his plaything  and then discarded after he has had his fill. However, his plan backfires because once he has claimed the ravishing woman as his he knows a few bedroom romps will never be enough. And  as her ice queen masquerade begins to slip, and he learns of her desperate plight that led to her thievery, he sees the real achingly vulnerable, pure hearted woman beneath and he realizes he’s losing the war over his own heart. As his own ice cold anger begins to thaw and it’s replaced by tender devotion and fierce possessiveness, can he forgive her for her deception and let her into his own wary heart?

MY THOUGHTS:
Georgia Le Carre DAZZLES once again in this captivating, sensually-charged, emotionally gripping tale!  I was hooked by page one and could not put it down. The chemistry between these enemies to lovers is EXPLOSIVE and their soul-deep emotional connection really strikes a chord.  I just fell so hard for these characters, who are initially brought together out of blackmail and atonement, but their tension fraught union soon evolves into a beautiful love story. I rooted for them every step of the way!

I love this author’s writing! Her lush, vibrant prose has an opulent, old world vibe to it and her vividly drawn characters truly touched my heart. The story flows at a fast pace and the perfectly timed flashbacks add a wealth of rich back-story, shedding clarity into the heroine’s heartbreaking childhood, her crippling family dysfunction and the long buried demons that continue to plague her.

There truly was not a dull moment in this book. There is plenty of juicy drama, sizzling hot interludes, spellbinding romance, bittersweet angst and internal and external tension to keep the reader BREATHLESSLY TURNING THE PAGES . The only reason I am only rating this 3.75 stars is because I found the romance a tad rushed and would have liked more development on that front. In particular, Thorne goes from not trusting Chelsea to suddenly being head over heels in love with her in a blink of an eye. A more gradual transformation of his feelings would have been a bit more believable.

That said, I found the ending to be deeply satisfying and uber romantic and there is an interesting twist at the end that definitely left me intrigued! Ultimately BLACKMAILED BY THE BEAST is another Georgia Le Carre hit that I highly recommend!

What an amazing book! So well written with the incredible storyline that gives goosebumps, and the characters that provoke an entire array of emotions. Chelsea's childhood is heartbreaking. Some people, like her mother and grandparents, should have never been born - they are a disgusting stain on humanity. Thorne and Chelsea's story is unusual, wonderful and uplifting. If only real life worked like that! But the end is a little scary with Yama loose on the web.
I loved this book despite bad people and wanting to kill someone. Books like this are a rare gem. I highly recommend it! 5 shining stars, Ms.Le Carre! Can't wait for your next book.

Let's start with the cover- amazing! This is definitely eyecatching. MMMHMMM.

Then let's talk about Chelsea Appleby and Thorne Blackmore, who have such FUN names! These two have off the charts heat, it's like a wildfire. This book was like very steamy and delicious. Chelsea is not who she seems, and Thorne changes a lot in his life because of her.

Also, there were some super crazy surprising revelations and events. And the end? Well, I'd say half adorable, half shocking. No, like really shocking.

I was going to say this was a short book, than realized is over 400 pages and therefore longer the previous book I tried to read. That book felt like it was 1000 pages long, so boring. This felt like 50! Over already? I finished in one sitting.

It's not the most creative story on the world, but it was written well and I enjoyed it a lot.
I was a little lost to start, thinking this was book 2 and I missed something. But eventually things make sense.

i actually really enjoyed the firsr half of this story but the second part felt like it was written by a different author who was wanting to shock and awe more than move the story fluidly. Well written and full of angst but too much insta love for my taste. overall 3.5 stars as i read the whole book but I'd had preferred more revenge and struggle with his new perception of who she really is deep inside and leave out her grandfather and momma drama all together. plus his ending his project so quickly didnt ring true nor his reason behind creating it. it didnt fit with his personality.

“I can do this and still stay strong. I am strong. It will take more than him to make me fall apart.”

Three months of total sexual submission to repay the debt. Having stolen from him she has since reinvented herself, hiding from the man who she knows will be hunting her. She’s the prey and he has tracked her down. She can either submit or face the consequences of her actions by going to prison. Returning to his home Chelsea finds herself losing herself in the icy depths of his eyes, drowning in the sensations he evokes, sinking under the weight of her emotions. Struggling to remain distant and evasive Chelsea comes face to face with her past and her demons that refuse to stop tormenting her.

Thorne couldn’t forget her, drawn to her from day one he is driven to find her and make her pay for betraying him. Having stolen from him when she could have just asked and he would have given her the world, he is battling the conflicting emotions he feels for her. Three months to work out his frustrations with her and the confusion she makes him feel. Yet the more time he spends with her the more she burrows in to his heart. She is a conundrum as she drops her guard and reveals snippets of her past and how she became the enigma she is. He falls deeper under her spell.

Blackmailed by the Beast is another five star magical read by one of my most favourite authors. The writing is pure magic as she weaves a story of mystery and intrigue, vengeance and forgiveness, love and hate. The flashback scenes are emotional and poignant. The woman she has become a testament to her strength. Thorne is ruthless yet for her he softens. His defences crumbles as he learns more about her and opens himself to her. They are explosive together and the heat they generate is inescapable. I read this in one hit and adored them.

A five star read that is a warmer for a cold winters day.

This story is nothing what I expected at all. It just had so much going on and was all over the place. I thought there would be some more anger or hatred from the guy, I mean she stole 300 grand. I feel like there really was never any drama between them. Also the sex scenes were pretty boring so this book didn't do it for me at all. When I read a book it better have one or both things, an amazing story and if not, at least some steamy scenes but this book lacked both. After that I was not interested in the bonus books the author shared.

Chelsea had a very traumatizing upbringing.
She steals from her boss. He wants her to pay it back with her body.
Not everything is what it seems in this fantastic read by Georgia Le Carre.
I really enjoyed this book.
I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book.

The reason I love Georgia Le Carre is how she always satisfies my craving for revenge, especially when the hero or heroine has been so hurt or damaged by someone else. She hardly ever disappoints (just once, when Lena's father and her other abusers went unpunished in Disfigured).

What I love about this author's style is the way her men start out tragically damaged and gorgeous in some way, only to be saved by an equally damaged female who is his perfect complimentary foil. Thorne began so angry and bitter toward Chelsea, but he's a brilliant alpha male who simply needs a little time to figure out Chelsea is not bad or evil, and how she has demons in her past and present that are responsible
for her previous wrongdoings and issues. He blackmailed her into living with him and returning to his arms, and she was helpless in the face of his self-righteous temper and had to agree, so it takes awhile for things to settle between them. He began to think about and remember noticing that despite stealing $300K from him, she lived in near poverty, wore cheap clothing, and owned/had practically nothing to show for the money she'd taken. He questions the things that don't add up, and delves into her past, all the while tangling with Chelsea in and out of bed, Thorne and Chelsea are drawn to each other and are both equally affected by the other, as he uncovers the truth and forces Chelsea to face it and her demons with him.

These two are exciting together, and Chelsea's demons and history are heartbreaking, to say the least. Ms. Le Carre has a way of absorbing the reader into the character's story very simply and with little fanfare. In no time, you find yourself caught up, flipping pages to discover what happens next, and consumed by what Chelsea and Thorne are feeling. Awesome ztory.

I'm a huge fan of this author, and own nearly every book she's published, and enjoyed every one of them, even though I didn't always like the main characters in the beginning. I've found rereading Georgia Le Carre's books beneficial to discovering nuances and details I had previously overlooked. The end result? I can truthfully and unequivocally state I enjoy all of her books. Despite the few typos I generally find on my rereading.
