Loved this book!

Such an in depth and personal look at a culture that most of us know so little about. Quite eye-opening as to how women are treated there. Evie does a remarkable job sharing her experiences and her emotions that I felt like I experienced it with her. Her choice of words had me laughing in parts and squirming in others.
Great job, Evie! Hope you share more of your travel and world experiences with us.

Honest and introspective

The author shares her experiences working and living in Saudi Arabia. As a single, American woman, living in a compound that included Saudis, she faced bullying, sexual harassment and the other frustrations of living in a country where women are powerless. However, this is not a bitter tale but one of adventure, personal connection and growth. Well done.

Interesting but dragged too long

The book played well in the beginning but in my humble opinion it went on too long I was so bored by the last chapter that I just flipped through it barely to skim parts. Like I said the first part of it was very interesting probably the first two thirds I guess.

Excellent read

Now that Saudi Arabia has opened the door to tourism getting the behind the scenes look at the day to day is even more relevant.

Funny at times and an eye opener of a Saudi compound

Funny at times and a real eye opener into the life on a Saudi compound and how it deteriorates ones soul. Thank you Evie Fox.

Insightful

This book brought big laughs and deep sadness. It isn't great writing, but the author's sincerity and interest in helping the less fortunate spoke to me.

Good read.

This book will open the eyes of many who will learn from the tragic circumstances other women live through and survive. We Americans have it so much better than most, sometimes it is hard to grasp.
