Rate this book
TIME TO TAKE OUT THE GALACTIC TRASH Danny came, he competed, and he conquered. Now a member of the Icarus Project's elite mech operations team, Danny is tossed out of the frying pan and into the fire in WORLD OF MECH COMMAND BOOK 2. Not only does he battle bands of rogue aliens and ginormous extraterrestrial fighting mechs in the desert and out on the ice, but he also uncovers evidence that forces him to question everything he thought he knew about the man who brought him into the shadowy Icarus Project, former billionaire technologist Jonas Xavier Vidmark. Oh, and if that wasn’t enough, Danny also finds himself snared in a love triangle, while discovering that another alien invasion is likely just around the corner. WORLD OF MECH COMMAND BOOK 2, the adrenaline-fueled sequel to NEW WORLD DISORDER, MECH COMMAND BOOK 1, ramps up the action as Danny struggles to survive in a world turned upside down while discovering that all may not be fair in love (and war) and friendship.

Mr. Mahaffey, i have some issues with this series

Mr. Mahaffey, This will serve as my review of your work. I like the snarky attitude of the characters. I like you did your best not to make all the woman in the book to be boring two dimensional people that had very little to offer the the typical smack in the face but alas that is it.

What I did not like. You clearly did not do your homework on weapons platforms and their function. Why bullets cannons and the different types have specifics as to when they are used. Weapons have ranges because of a little thing called gravity. You completely ignore physics of the weapons you have. You ignored the power plants requirements to move something so heavy as a mech. For the love of God just pick the brain of a video game designer before writing down your material this series is horrible fiction and what's worse you bring references to past music themes that have zero worth to the story. Next time try leaving out the references to 20th century pop culture and make it about the story instead. I do not need reminders of the past in a book that's suppose to be in the future.

Wow!

So I began book 2 in the series today. I also finished it today. Where did the time go? What a rush. The first look at book 3 (thank you) has me drooling. The main character is a screw up trying to do better - slowly, if at all. He remains himself throughout. That is what makes him so endearing and so frustrating. Come along for the ride.

Action Overload

With aliens everywhere and unknown enemies maybe even working with them the mechs just have to roll with it as the fight heats up a lot. Non stop action and adventure ahead. Great read and page turner.
