I’m glad that they went into this story, and loved that she was able to see her child and he was able to reconnect. Sweet story.

Fantastic Series - I just cant get enough. After reading these 4 stories, I'm an addicting fan. I look forward to the next installments. It's a given that I love mermaid stories but these stories have a built history behind them from not only the previous books but the author gives a insight to their past that is just heart breaking and in her stories they get redemption in their soul searching truth with their true mates.

Marie's Tempting Reads ARC Review:

I have been highly anticipating Elan's story for a while now. And it was...FANTASTIC! A little different, a lot of this story took place on land. It showed the hurt, the struggle, the passion, and the love that never really died between Elan and Zara. And we get to see the bond Zara got to make with her son, after she hadn't seen him in a year thanks to her being taken away from Elan and Drageo Azul.

This was such a great read! Full of the dangers from a lot of the mer community and working on retrust and love on the surface with Zara, I feel like Elan had his work cut out for him but it made for one incredible story! And we learn HOW Elan and Zara met and I have to say, it had endured Elan to me even more than I could ever imagine. I just LOVED and ADORED Stolen By The Sea Lord SO MUCH! Even though Torun will always be my #1, Elan is a close second. He is strong, sexy, determined, caring, sweet, and perfectly arrogant at times that had me wanting to swoon. Zara is bold, brave, feisty and her attitude was a lot different than some of the previous heroines and I really liked that. She had no problems telling Elan how she felt and how hurt she was and the way she works at getting closer to her son and finally forming the bond that should of been formed the year before was something significantly precious that had me sniffling. This story certainly won me over and I can't wait for MANY more mer tales!

Stolen By The Sea Lord gets a MIGHTY SWOON WORTHY FIVE SHOOTING STARS! I can't get enough of these mer stories. Starla Night takes me away under the sea full of amazing scenes, great characters, and irresistible stories.

A second chance/marriage-in-trouble romance is never going to be my favorite book. The pace of this one dragged until the last maybe 30 percent, despite making sudden leaps forward in the emotional arc without putting in the work to earn it. The parents were bizarre mustache-twirlingly evil villains who felt very out of place in the book. The underwater action scenes were the high point of the story. It’s too bad they only kicked in near the end.

This will be the last book in this series I read, as the next audiobook is recorded with virtual voice (AI) which I cannot support.

Elan was a respected Lieutenant of the mer city Dragao Azul. He lost everything when his son was born, and his human wife was forced to travel to the surface. He was forced to become a general, and was separated from his son. Now he has escaped and wishes to reunite his family.

Zara nearly died when she was forced to the surface, and Elan broke her heart. Now, he has returned with her son, but she has already missed his first year and feels like a failure as a mother. Elan claims that Zara has a power that will save them, but Zara is not sure if she can even believe in herself anymore. At a time when mer-human partnerships are already shaky, it is up to them.

This book was one of the longest books in the Sirens and Scales boxset, but according to the Goodreads description, the paperback version is probably even longer. I wanted to enjoy this story, and I really wanted to like the characters. However, I could not bring myself to understand why Zara was so angry with Elan. He had done his best to come back and reunite their family, and he had even brought their son. He wanted to rekindle their relationship and this would have been a perfect time. Instead, Zara is simply angry that...I don't even know...that he took too long?

The parts of the story that I did enjoy were mostly Zara bonding with her son, but other than that, it seemed confusing. I found myself getting angry at Zara rather than wanting her and Elan to succeed. I wouldn't recommend this book in the set.

Title: Stolen by the Sea Lord
Author: Starla Night
Format: Audio
Narrator: Chandra Skyye
Genre: Paranormal Romance, Merman Shifter, Fated Mates, Second Chance
Standalone: Not really - Each book builds upon the previous books
Part of a Series: Book 4 of Lords of Atlantis
POV: Elan, Zara
Steam Level: Steamy
3/5

Zara is Elan's bride. His bride who was taken away from him and their newborn son and unwillingly returned to her island. No Elam is back, with their baby, wanting Zara back. Can she trust him? Will she trust him? What secrets is he hiding? This book was a change in that it mostly took place in the human world but of course the epic climactic battle took place under the sea. However, this book end not really on a cliffhanger but not really complete either. There are quite a few more books in this series that I won't be reading. I enjoyed the over-aching story but the characters left a lot to be desired. It was the same old miscommunications and lack of confidence in the other and themselves that was present in the first three books of the series. I will not be continuing - even if I had the opportunity to read or listen for free.

This is the fourth book in this series. If you haven’t read the first three, you will be completely lost or won’t be able to appreciate what is happening as much as you would. With that said, I didn’t enjoy this one as much as the last.

The first twelve chapters were of Zara and Elan arguing about her having powers and her trying to make her fins. The beginning was just too drawn out! There is a side story about her parents being criminals, but there is no resolution to that storyline. Yes they are arrested, but Zara said she was going to go back to be with her sister and support her at the trial and then the book ends without that happening.

It gets interesting at around chapter sixteen. Then Elan gets taken back to Dragao Azul in chapter nineteen by the All-Council’s guards. From there the book just goes by quickly and then it’s over. All is forgiven and they live happily ever after with just a little foreshadowing of what is to come.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Elan fights for Zara

Elan is first lieutenant of the mer-city Dragao Azul. He had a bride, Zara, who right after she gave birth a year ago, got taken back to land. He now stole back his son from the king and escaped. Now Elan and their son Zain have come to the island where Zara lives. He hopes that they can become a family now.
Zara has only been living a half life for the last year. She has been numb from the pain of losing her husband and child. When she sees Elan on the beach though, all she feels is anger. She doesn't want anything to do with him. That is until he shows her their son.
Elan and Zara must fight through the actions and feelings from the past. They also have threats from her parents and the mer warriors who will be coming after Elan. Zara must learn how to harness her powers to become a queen like the other three women from Atlantis. With all of these problems, will any type of relationship survive between them?
Nice addition of a different city in this continuing saga.

Stolen By The Sea Lord is a excellent book. This is book # 4 in the Lords of Atlantis series. In this book we get a different angle on the Mer/Human relationships by going back to a couple we have heard about in previous books. Elan and Zara's story is complex and heartbreaking. This is such an entertaining and enjoyable series. Each book brings a new couple and further unravels the mystery that revolves around being a Mer bride and queen. It also continues the fight against injustices caused by the all council and their desire to keep the Mer "pure", even at the risk of their own extinction. As always a powerful love story, that is packed with deep emotions. Also offers drama, pain, betrayal, action, steam and issues that you can see a reflection of in our own society and the world. A wonderful book and a terrific series that I cannot recommend enough. I'm already eagerly looking forward to the next book in this series.

3 stars or 4?

What rating to give this book was a little difficult for me. I started out by reading the prequel that I found through a giveaway, and I enjoyed reading it, I went looking for "Stolen by the Sea Lord" in Kindle Unlimited. Obviously, I found it. I thought that this book would start off where the prequel ended. But no such luck. It took place two years after the events in the prequel. I felt like I had this huge gap of information. I. Felt. Lost. So part of me said that I should just put the book down, but I was invested in Elan and Zara's story. I wanted to see how everything got resolved in the end. And then I realized that if I hadn't have read the prequel, then the book would be really good. I started getting more and more about what happened during those two years between the prequel and the story. There was action, adventure, intrigue, crazy generals, and hot...hot mer.

I have submitted this review after reading this title within the series set box.

By the Mer covenant, a Mer bride must be returned to her island home after the birth of a mer fry. (baby)

However, the All Council, the overseer of all mer law, appears to have taken extreme views on what some of the rules that Mer Warriors live by.
Perhaps they feel the ability of a mer bride to extend powers that most couldn't imagine, also did away with the need for a council to oversee mer culture.

One bride that had been un- ceremoniously snatched from her husband and her suckling new born son and dragged across oceans to be abandoned on a deserted shoreline at night, was now being confronted with a husband that has taken a year to reach her home on land.
what happens from here shows that old men and their outdated beliefs are no match for a modern woman, with her Mer Warrior standing behind her.

I just love this series. It is very well written, exciting, suspenseful, and so much more. They were a couple who were ripped apart because an ancient tradition. He goes off by himself and finally goes for her. But they each have much baggage to work through. Both together and apart. There is so much going on it keeps you on the edge of your seat. One to curl up with and relax. I love all her books and can't wait for the next one. I highly recommend it. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.

Oh my gosh! This series is Highly Addictive!

I just love these books by Starla Night! They are well written, very exciting and....Wow, all of those gorgeous Mer people!

I am sure that there are Mer in our oceans somewhere! I mean, throughout time there have been tales of Mermaids right, so, why not!

Honestly, between the Mer and the Dragons.....I just can't pick favorites. If you haven't read any of Starla Night's gripping tales then, boy are you missing out.

I can't wait for more!

Elan and Zara are magic together. This fourth installment in the series is probably the most heart wrenching of them all. My heart broke for the war torn lovers pulled apart by an ancient custom and a war neither of them needed to fight. This whole series so far has been well written and engaging. The best part of this series is that it's a unique concept that hasn't been overdone to death.

Stolen by the Sea Lord, Starla Night's book 4 of the Lord's of Atlantis series, is breathtaking! It takes you on a wonderful ride filled with adventure, intrigue, danger and hot sex. The characters are mostly from previous books and they continue to develop and become more endearing. The storyline continues to be fast-paced and unique. Definitely a book worth reading!

Yeah, this series is pulling me in. Also, it's so awesome to read Zara's story and I love that she's not just falling in love with the idea of being a mermaid queen, but is in fact approaching the situation with a healthy amount of skepticism based on her experiences with the traditionalists within mer society.

I listened to this story. A very sweet story and glad that Zara got see her child and the see if the love for Elan was still there. When her child and husband being taken, she decides that they were worth fighting for. So, to the depth she goes. Will they find their love? Read or listen to this book to find out. Just like to know if Zara will go back to land for the court about her parents.

Honor Family First

So glad Elan got his story. This book kept my attention until I finished it. Should have been working but read this story anyway. Elan knows he has a lot to answer for but he is trying to get his family back together.

Fight for what is right.

Just a 4

I liked the story but in some places it was hard to follow. Great plot, it would have been nice to know if she makes it back for court, since the time difference between the two worlds is different.

Starla Night's Stolen By the Sea Lord is not merely a story about a family torn apart the night a human-mer baby was born. It is a story about lasting love and the strength of a woman if only she'd believe in herself. Cautionary note: Bedroom scenes are steamy.

Great series

This book started out a little slow. However, about half way through the pace picked up. By the end of the story it was riveting. I really do love this series and am anxious to read the next book.

I'm waiting for them to fish and the All Council already. Their power only breeds chaos and war between factions that should be reuniting for their survival. I'm glad Elan was Mer enough to go after Zara.

It was almost like this one wasn’t written by the same author – though it fell into the same story as the other ones – girl unsure of herself, girl doesn’t know if she wants to love the merman, has an epiphany and everything is OK

Second chance romance

This was a great paranormal second chance romance. It had just the right amount of sexiness, chivalry, drama, and action. It also had a cute baby to even things out.

Missing Something

Well written & enjoyable, but not with the same vividness as the first 3. Elan & Zara just didn't have the same appeal for me. I enjoyed the story, loved the reunion of mother & son, it just seemed to miss something!
