The
Puppets…Pills…and Pistol Play!

The Ventriloquist kidnaps you and takes you on a journey with Paulie Capone, a sixteen-year old crack dealer from Oakland, California, who’s faced with the painstaking task of providing for his family after his father gets convicted for a murder that he didn’t commit, then his uncle gets brutally tortured and killed. Paulie was born and raised in the Peace Grove Projects, a gigantic housing complex that plays host to a labyrinth of intricate passages…and dead ends.
Their operation ran like a well-oiled machine until the death of Keo, Paulie’s uncle, left the organization in chaos and clueless of who was supplying Keo; without a connect they would be unable to supply the demand of their consistent customers.
So Paulie, met with obligation of seeing to the continuity of an empire that his father built, hooks up with an old friend from school, whose uncle is a lieutenant in a Bolivian Cartel. Once they’re connected with the connect, Paulie and his team are back in business.
But looming over head, however, is the mystery of who killed Keo. Fingers point to a rival gang from Mosswood Park, whose sole source of income is ecstasy pills; an arena that Keo entered before he was killed.
While a drug war ensues between the Grove and Mosswood, seasoned Homicide Detective Benjamin Welch, a 17-year veteran with the swagger of your arrogant uncle and the wardrobe of a 1970’s club owner, tries to solve Keo’s murder, bring an end to the conflict, and find out who’s behind the scenes flooding the streets with pure cocaine, all while playing people like puppets being manipulated by a Ventriloquist!
