I absolutely loved this story - the realism (characters, situations, dialogue - it's all SO believable) and of course, the 80s. You can't take the 80s out of this girl.
Dresden is a complicated girl but relatable, with that on-the-verge-of-womanhood angst that leads her to take a dangerous step into the arms of a man she thinks will love and take care of her. Her thought process is developmentally accurate, which makes her sympathetic, just as readers shake their heads at her bad decisions, urging her to look to her conscience, which makes appearances on occasion to remind her that she is a better person than the Queenpin she has become.
I'd love to see this with a better cover - this is a cool drawing, but I think something more polished would serve this story better and attract more readers.
