Secret agent Rhett Dane was promised an extended vacation after he foiled former DIC head Phillip Ermand’s attempts to bring the men of the world to their knees. Unfortunately, a new terrorist organization is rising on the world stage, and they’re solidifying their credibility by kidnapping Thomas Johnson, the son of the American President and a former lover of Dane’s. When an attack on DIC headquarters pairs Dane with Vice-President Jerome Spitz, things really get hard for everyone involved. It’s going to take every inch of Dane’s expertise to rescue Johnson, keep Spitz alive, and not lose his head—literally—in the process. It’ll be one hell of a mission, but if anyone is up for it, it’s Rhett Dane!
I loved this. It felt a little darker than his earlier outings, but that's exactly my kind of thing. It was great to see Rhett interact with familiar characters, the relationship between him and Swallows being my favorite. Swallows is so snarky :). The plot is fast paced, fraught with danger and that creepy feeling that the enemy is always watching. The innuendos used for names and accronyms are awesome. As always, the sex scenes red hot. And maybe it's the British in me, but I giggled every time I read "DIC head."
