Except for the three and a half years he served in the Pacific during World War II, he spent most of his life in New York State. Although his career spanned more than thirty years, and he wrote fiction until he died, he remained little known by the public, in the United States as well as abroad. He started publishing in 1953 in Startling Stories, then Playboy, The Saturday Evening Post, and Collier's. Not my type of contents

Why do authors try to put words that have no context to the story. It seems this one was trying to impress someone , and had a dictionary to prove it . Ill keep Mr young off of my reading list in the future. I'm glad I only wasted .99 and a small amount of time on this collection

Nice find

This author wads new to me, I'll admit, and I was glad to encounter these stories. While not as polished as Bradbury's or Sturgeon's, these tales are in the same vein: lyrical, reflective, and darkly humanistic. Worth an hour or two for a fan of the nuances of speculative fiction.

The best one EVER!

This is the best collection I have read out of the forty I have read so far. Every single story is unique and original in content. A delightful selection to read.

A compilation of puckish, tongue-in-cheek, and socially significant science fiction short stories. Perfect for the last thing you read before sleep. Many of the short stories are about 10-15 minutes.
