Quite interesting. If you prefer public school/boarding school stories à la Hagio Moto, this is definitely for you. It’s one of Kawai Yumiko’s early work and not exactly as tightly written as it could be, but the book does let us catch a glimpse of a future Kawai, who excels in portraying mature characters who, unknowingly or knowingly, repress their emotions for the sake of decency and conformity.
Having said that, this book still stands out as you probably won’t get an ending like THAT in Kawai’s later books nor in today’s BL industry in general.
