All Paris has ever wanted is to be loved unconditionally. Her young years spent in foster care, she’s spent more years than she cares to remember, fighting to just survive. Her tenacity pushed her to pursue a different life for herself and her young son, but the long hours spent caring for others as a nurse, has begun to take a toll on her. After a particularly long night, she falls asleep behind the wheel, causing a devastating collision and a young woman is left clinging to life. Fearful of what the consequences could mean for her child, Paris flees the scene, only to discover that the accident wasn’t the worst case scenario. Now she’s at the center of a moral dilemma that will test her sense of destiny, her willingness to come clean, and in an unexpected twist, test her heart. Has Paris’s quest for a life filled with love and compassion turned into her worst nightmare, or has fate set her up to find love in the most unexpected place?

Excellent. Awesome. Intense. Thought provoking. Profound. What a journey Paris took me on. I felt every emotion. I understood. There was no judgement, just, what would I do? This was one of those times when you just needed to put all faith in God, let Him handle it and be prepared for the answer. But of course Paris didn't. She did everything wrong, but in the end, the blessings were still there. I am completely wowed. This is a must read. And I will definitely check out more of this author's works; I believe this is my first read by Ms Latimore. Thank you for such a compelling, thought provoking, heartfelt read.
My very first book by this author (actually made me feel and I loved every single word shared).
The synopsis caught my attention and I must say, "GOD makes a way even when there is no way" and delivers his GRACE and MERCY at every turn.
We all make mistakes but GOD is always there providing guidance, we just have to heed his warnings.
I will not and can not judge anyone for their decision. I can only say that every situation will have the same outcome "Fight or Flight"
This book was supreme sacrifice for what GOD charged each of us yo do while raising HIS children. Do we run (flight) and never give account for our actions or stand up (fight) and accept reactions knowing that GOD will never leave us nor forsake us?
Cain ways truly a man of GOD. Alana was a tool used in GOD's master plan. Paris was GOD's transformation.
This book was a little out of the norm from what I usually read, and I have to say I’m not disappointed at all. The book was so good from beginning to end I can’t believe Paris did what she did, talk about jaw dropping. I dnt think if I was in Cains shoes I can do it, but I’m glad Paris made the right decision finally. The way it ended seems like there will be a part 2 and I can’t wait, lol Ella was definitely Paris ride or die
This storyline had me smh at Paris. I didn't like what she did at all. I'm glad that she finally did what was right. Her of all people should have known that you can't run from your problems, you have to face them head on. There are times when you want to run, but in the long run, it's better to stay and deal with the situation. It makes life a lot less stressful. I don't think that my conscience would let me do what she did. SBP
What can I say about this book, well for starters this was very interesting. The characters were well thought out and it flowed freely. The author definitely put her heart and time into writing this. I think everyone has identified with Alana in one way or another. I know I have definitely felt like it was just me against the world. I cried, felt scared and mad behind the events in the book. Well done on this book. I recommend anyone to read this.
Wow! I felt for Paris, working the long hours to take care of her son. But, to walk away from a scene like that, scared of not, knowing you were the cause; don't know how her conscious allowed it. Then Cain! He was something special. Truly had a forgiving heart, to accept what had happened, and still love her. Moving story!
I REALLY ENJOYED THIS READ. I WAS MAD AT WHAT PARIS DID ESPECIALLY BEING A NURSE. THINGS WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IF SHE HAD STAYED. SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE BAD TO GET TO THE GOOD. IM GLAD SHE MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE. #KNL
Mind blowing , Paris was a strong woman she tried her best to work hard to make sure Ace had everything and lived stress free. I am glad Ella found someone. I was so surprise how Clain fell for Paris it was like it happens over night.
This was a good story. It was a little drawn out but didn't take away from the story. Im glad that Cain forgave Paris. I was wondering would she ever tell. #Sbp
This book was long for me but enjoyable. I can see how Paris came to the conclusions that she did although they were wrong. I think Cain is the real deal!!
Be mindful of the kind of secret that you keep because it may just cost you everything.
“Fight or Flight: A Twisted Love Story” is about a woman whose negligent act not only almost takes someone’s life, but comes back to threaten to take everything else from her as well. There were three main characters and five supporting characters. Even though the storyline was shocking, the author wrote each character in such a way that it made their action believable; making the story feel extremely legit. My favorite character was Cain, a main character, because he didn’t allow his wife’s situation to make bitter toward life. As a mother myself, I found Paris, a main character, to be relatable because her initial decision was made with her child’s well being in mind.
There isn’t anything that I would change about this book.
Overall, I found this book to be a tense, but enjoyable, page turning read.
In life there are choices. Either stay and fight or run as fast as you can. Running won't help anything because the problems are still present. Paris should've known better being that she was a nurse. All of the stress could've been avoided if she would've stayed.
