Picked the alternative cover (even though the main character in the book is supposed to be a redhead, so it's driving me mad that it doesn't match) because the shirtless guy one kept distracting me.

Anyway... I'm DNFing this because I'm bored and I really wanted to like it because I'm craving some well done FwB 😭

If you don't have a Tripp in your life go run and find one, right now. Seriously. We all need a guy like Tripp in our lives; someone who will be there for us no matter what our relationship status is. I just kept swooning with book love for him. Not only is he an amazing friend to Ember but he is SO good with the twins. He's been holding his thoughts and feeling for Ember inside for years so he doesn't lose her. I can't say I blame him, but I'm glad he finally got his chance with her.

Then we have Ember. She's an amazing woman doing everything she can for everyone else, especially her sisters. She always ends up putting herself last. And while I find that all amazing here is why I also wasn't a complete fan of hers. Her self doubt drove me CRAZY. She never thought she was good enough for anyone. She didn't think she would do a good job taking care of the twins (at this point anyone was better than their mother). She thought the loss of her relationship with Chris was all on her. And she definitely didn't think she was good enough for Tripp. She was wrong on all accounts. She was amazing and I hated that she didn't see that.

I have been waiting patiently for this book to come out. It was definitely worth the wait and I'm glad I got the chance to read it. I'll miss these incredibly couples. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.*

Not only has Ember never had a support system but when it comes to her family, she is one who is depended on. Having her boyfriend end their relationship in the callous way that he did only reinforced her lack of self-confidence but the one person she can always count on is her friend Tripp.

Tripp’s feelings for Ember run much deeper and he is determined to show her that they are meant to be much more than friends He is considerate and allows her to get used to their new relationship but he is determined to show her that he is the one person who will always be there for her and that he loves her just the way she is.

Ember has been emotionally scarred by her past, but Tripp is enough to make you swoon as with every word and deed he shows her how special she is to him.

These benefits are amazing

Tripp has long awaited a chance to sbow Ember he's here. He has been the friend neither knew he could be. He has always supported her. Now it's his time.

The sexy, sweet best friend becomes everything. What's not to like!?! Baseball playing hottie who gives good cuddles and reads the best bed time stories is without a doubt a keeper. Ember just has to realize she can keep him.

"Friends with Benefits" by Nicole Blanchard is book three in the "Friend Zone" series. This book is by far my favorite in the series. I love Ember and Tripp. I absolutely adore the relationship between Ember and her twin sisters, Molly and Matilda (Tilly). Ember has had a pretty crappy life when it comes to her parents. They don't do anything for Ember or the young twins. Ember works long hours, goes to school, and takes care of her siblings. Tripp caught feelings for Ember when he saw her in the parking garage, but never made a pass because Ember was in a serious relationship. After Ember was dumped by her boyfriend, Tripp stepped in to help Ember through it. My favorite scene was when Molly and Tilly wanted Tripp to read to them. This was another wonderful book by Nicole.

In this installment we get to know Ember and Tripp better. Ember is a very responsible adult who acts as a parent for her young twin sisters. It was very easy to immediately sympathize with Ember and understand why Tripp has always been intrigued by her. I think there is an incident in the book that could have been explored more and would have added to the development of both characters. Despite that, the characters are likeable, the romance is fast paced but believable, and it's an entertaining romance.

SPOILER:

Ember has a miscarriage at some point in the book and I really wish that the emotional aftermath of that experience was explored more. I feel like it would have added more depth to her character. It felt like there wasn't the appropriate amount of emotional damage attached to the experience. This is emphasized by the fact that the miscarriage isn't mentioned again after it happens, even in the epilogue. It didn't bother me that it was used as a plot point because I feel like it was used for the emotional development of the female character involved, I just feel it could have been executed better.

Sweet friends with benefits romance with a dash of the almost single parent scenario. Ember has trash parents, so she takes care of her young twin sisters all the time; she’s pretty much their mother. She has a lot of stresses in her life; especially after a break up with her long time boyfriend. Tripp, her neighbor, has wanted more than friendship with Ember for years, but she turned him down. Now, Ember is realizing that there’s more to Tripp than she thought and that he’s always been there for her, so she decides to pursue a friends with benefits type scenario relationship with him. There’s also a bit of sports romance going on since Tripp is trying to make the majors in baseball. I’d say this is a 3.5 rating for me, but I rounded up to a 4 because what I mostly didn’t care for was the tropes used in this book. The writing was good, but the story didn’t have enough original elements to make it stand out. Still an enjoyable read though. I liked both Ember and Tripp. They have some good passion and chemistry. I wasn’t a fan that it seemed like Ember knew Tripp felt more for her for a long time, but still only offers a friends with benefits situation. Felt a bit too much like she was using him. Tripp is a total sweetheart; supportive and sexy, he was an awesome guy. Overall, this was a nice, sweet read.

Friends with Benefits was a sweet read. It stars Ember, who has been taking care of her twin sisters while trying to finish school and keep a roof over their heads and her next door neighbor, Tripp. Tripp met Ember years ago and has been pining for her since, even though he’s convinced himself he’s okay with just being friends.

When Ember’s long distance boyfriend breaks up with her over a text and her parents bail, she starts to lean more and more on Tripp and soon realizes who has been there for her all along. Since Ember is a little afraid of commitment (can you blame her? She’s essentially a single mom!) their relationship slowly progresses from friends to benefits to more.

Tripp was the highlight here. He was so understanding and sweet and always put Ember first. They both communicated so well, there were no major misunderstandings or issues that they couldn’t get past.

Friends with Benefits was a sweet and steamy read; great for a hot summer evening.

Friends with Benefits is a delicious, best friends to lovers romance. I have eagerly been awaiting this book, since I started the series.

Ember is such a strong, independent heroine, while Tripp is the always there, best friend that has always pined for more. They are absolutely perfect together!!

I love how much this isn’t just a typical boy meets girl story. There is so much love and heartache in this book. Not every relationship we have in life is good. Blanchard did a phenomenal job of showing that and how the family you need most isn’t always the one you were born into.

The writing is so on point and characters are so on point. I couldn’t help but get lost and devour Friends with Benefits. This is my favorite book of the series! I hope Blanchard keeps up with it because I would love to see books from Tilly and Molly!

Ember is a strong and self less woman. She has a lot on her plate and then to top off the spilling over cup, her long distance boyfriend breaks up with her. Trust me, for the better.

Tripp is hard to resist. I know he will be the star of my book boyfriend fantasies. These two gave me all the feels. I enjoyed getting to know a woman like Ember. Tripp will make you blush and bring out your inner book fangirl. Not your average "benefits" romance because this is one where not only do the characters win but we get to witness the home run from the best seat in the house.

I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

I read the first in this series. skipped the 2nd book. This one grabbed me and it did not let go. I loved Trip he is a man that any woman would be proud to call her own. He hits all the right buttons. Ember strikes me as strong and sure, always putting herself at the low end of the totem pole. Taking care of others before herself. These two are perfect for each other and this is one of the best friends to lovers story I have read in a while. It will subject you to all the emotions that you can stand. It is a really good book!

I fell in love with Tripp. I know he is a fantasy but we all need someone like him. He is there no matter what. Ember thinks he can't do more than a casual thing and that's all she asks for but you can feel their need for more coming off the pages. I couldn't stop reading. Being friends set the stage for the perfect relationship and I love how Tripp tries to show her that. The story is sweet, with some angst and lots of steam to keep you going.

Tripp is a sexy baseball player that will make you swoon. Ember is doing everything she can to raise her sisters and meeting Tripp is exactly what she needs in her life. They are absolutely perfect together what started as friends, then friends with benefits was what they both needed. Great story with enjoyable characters especially Tillie & Molly.

Friends with Benefits is a deeply touching and foundation blasting romance that will leave you completely wrecked and utterly satisfied. Life can either decimate the tender hearted or help them grow a tough shell in order to survive. When the latter happens only a stubbornly persistent person full of love and life have a chance of being let in and absorbed by such a person. Out of needing to reserve their energy for something more fundamental, they sometimes allow a person to sneak in and make them feel again and find themselves needing that person above all others. At that point, they realize just how important and essential that person is to them just like breathing and eating are to survival.

Ember has learned to lean on herself since those who should have loved her the most just didn't care. She knows how to be self-reliant and motivated and take care of others. Taking care of herself well often comes into question. When the most unlikeliest of friends burrows himself deeply into her life, she finds that she needs him more then even the very air she breathes. When the harsh realities of life enters in and shakes up her world so completely, she turns to Tripp for some comfort and something she can't quite name. Can love break through Ember's steel walls and show her what she needs and longs for, or will she continue to push through on her own until she burns out with nothing left?

I have been impatiently waiting for Tripp and Ember. I knew there was so much to their story, and I wanted to soak up every fiery moment. Tripp had to fight for every second with Ember, and each second was so well it. These two has such an easy and effortless like atmosphere about them if not for Ember fighting what was between them every step of the way. Honestly though, she made him into the man he was supposed to be. Tripp figured out who he was and what he wanted from life. She was his fire that refined not only her own heart but his as well. They were both better for it and learned how to savor and cherish life that much more.

Nicole Blanchard destroyed my heart through the relentless heartache of life and ugliness and then healed it from the never ending flow of determination and love that healed and restored a family. She never fails to show me that we can't ever give up. We always have one more step left, and we can't fail to take it. We never know what we will find once we discover the courage to walk up to it and uncover it. Life can bring pain and healing in equal measures, and sometimes we have to go through the ugly to appreciate the beautiful and simple things in life.

Wonderful Story & Narration🎧Gripping & Heartfelt!

Friends with Benefits
Friend Zone, Book 3
By: Nicole Blanchard
Narrated by: Summer Morton, Curt Bonnem

Nicole Blanchard pens another wonderful novel set in her “Friend Zone” series, an emotionally moving romance novel that captives your attention and tugs at your heartstrings the entire time. Ember Stevens did not have the best childhood, her parents were not there for her at all, and when her mother gave birth to twin girls, it was Ember who was there for them, taking care of them and putting their needs in front of her own because she did not want the girls to have the same childhood she had. Tripp Wilder, Ember’s neighbor, had a crush on her, though he never got his chance with her because she was dating someone else, but they became the best of friends. When Ember breaks up with her boyfriend, he thinks he has a chance, but Ember has so much going and with him aiming to be a professional baseball player, she does not want to bring him down. Except he does not see things that way and continues to be there for her anyway he can and basically becomes her rock. I thought these two were great together and for each other, he was also great with her sisters. There was an undeniable chemistry between them and Ember could only deny herself for so long before giving into her desires and stop fighting the inevitable, that they were meant to be together. This beautifully written and plotted story has the perfect balance of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions and a slow burn but so worth the wait romance. Nicole Blanchard, thank you for another fantastic story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 Summer Morton and Curt Bonnem did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life and did so with a complete understanding of who they were portraying, giving each a voice that was fitting and was believable in every role, including the children’s roles. Bonnem was a natural in Tripp’s roles and Ember was just as fabulous in Ember’s roles, both showcasing their character’s personality and demeanor perfectly, from their caring side to their vulnerabilities to their strength. They were fantastic performing the roles of the side/secondary characters too, including voicing the two young sisters. You could hear how much heart they put into their performance as they captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These two are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thanks for another wonderful listen.

Friends With Benefits
Friend Zone #3
By Nicole Blanchard
Narrated by Summer Morton, Curt Bonnem

Nicole Blanchard spectacularly brings to life book three of her Friend Zone series. Yes, I was completely entranced by this one, and needed to keep listening to find out how things would go. Ember is struggling. Caretaker for your young twin sisters, going to school to become an EMT and supporting the household is not easy. Her mother is less than helpful, all responsibilities falling on Ember. Tripp moves in the same building and takes an instant liking to her,but Ember quickly puts him in his place. She does not have time for anything more than friends. Time goes by, and now Ember's boyfriend dumps her and Tripp is there to pick up the pieces. Needing to feel some self worth, Ember throw herself at Tripp. Friends with benefits should work, right? After all, he is her best friend. Feelings will never get in the way. Impossible for Tripp. He's all in. But is Ember ready to take a base and join Tripp on the field? This is book is filled with feelings, ones that stir that of a mother and a sister, a student and compassionate aide. I love Ember, how she deals with her successes and losses, each building her to the woman she is. Tripp is that man that is there for the hug to make her feel better and the passion to make her burn. It's an amazing journey.

Summer Morton and Curt Bonnem bring this story alive. The feelings are real and tug at the heart strings. The passion is hot, filled with love. The family feel is strong and the encouragement to be who you want to be is all there pulled out from the talented voices these two use to portray the book. This is a fantastic listen and should not be missed.

Tropes: Friends-to-Lovers, Emotional Trauma, No-Strings-Attached

Nicole Blanchard’s Friends with Benefits explores the complicated dynamic between best friends Ember Stevens and Tripp Wilder, blending steamy romance with themes of second chances and emotional healing. Ember, burned by past relationships and dealing with lingering scars from a difficult upbringing, is determined to embrace a no-strings-attached lifestyle. Tripp, her loyal yet secretly smitten best friend, steps in to help—but quickly finds himself wanting more.

The story incorporates heavier themes like loss (including a miscarriage) and parental neglect, adding emotional depth to the otherwise lighthearted premise. While the inclusion of these elements is commendable, their resolution feels somewhat rushed, and the overall plot remains fairly predictable. Sports also play a role in grounding Tripp’s character, but it isn’t deeply explored.

The male narrator in the audiobook does an okay job but doesn’t quite capture the emotional nuances of the story, which might disappoint some listeners.

Despite these shortcomings, Friends with Benefits is an easy read with plenty of chemistry and heartfelt moments. It’s a solid choice for fans of friends-to-lovers romances, though it may not stand out in a crowded genre.

Thank you to High Gravity Productions for the ALC access that made this review possible!

Ember is independent and has never had a support system but that hasn't stopped her from bringing up her much younger twin sisters when her parents fail to do so. She's put her life and dreams on hold to be the main provider and caregiver of the family, she is one who is depended on. Her father is a drunk and her mother is selfish and uncaring. She's learned to be independent and when her boyfriend ends their relationship it only reinforces her lack of self-confidence. But for years there has always been one person she can count on, her friend and neighbour Tripp.

From their first meeting Tripp’s feelings for Ember have been much deeper than she realises so when her parents bail and she is forced to cope with her sisters and her job alone he sees this as his chance to show her that they are meant to be much more than friends. He's always there, he loves the twins too and is patient and considerate giving her time to get used to their new relationship. I loved his determination to show her that he would always be there for her no matter what and that he loved her unconditionally.

Will Trip be able to win her heart or will Ember's emotional scars from her past stop her from enjoying a future with Trip? I adored Tripp his devotion and love made me swoon as his every word and deed he showed her how much he loved her and how special she was to him.

The narration by Summer Roberts and Curt Bonnem is so good they bring Ember and Tripp's story to life!

Ember is amazingly kind and caring to those all around her.
Her parents barely raised her and have chosen to do the same with their twins girls.
So instead of living her life like every other young adult, she it taking care of her two younger sisters, working to pay all the bills and keep a roof over their heads and studying.
To make matters worse her boyfriend she was dating long distance decides to break up over text, which breaks her heart and makes her feel even more alone in amongst everything happening in her life. Never wanting to be a burden, she’s managing every problem and issue by herself.

Tripp has always wanted to be more than just friends with Ember and will give his all to be the one she can count.
He sees how much she struggles and finally steps in to offer his support to help her and the twins however he can.
Gradually she starts to take notice of Tripp as more than a friend and as her feelings towards him grow, she agrees to become friends with benefits.

This story has all the feels with the steamy tension between Tripp and Ember, the struggles and exhaustion of Ember having to balance so many responsibilities and the frustration and anger towards her parents with how they treat her and her sisters.
It made for another great read in this series.

We finally get Ember and Tripp's story and it is sweet and steamy, and sneakily poignant. Ember is struggling to care for her younger twin sisters, and hold a job, all while going to school. Tripp has pined for Ember for years, being her friend while she has one disastrous relationship after another. Now she is single and he finally has his chance to make her see him as more than a friend. But it won't be easy. Ember doesn't have time for a relationship, but needs to feel worthy. So she and Tripp come to a friends with benefits arrangement. He agrees to help her with her sisters, and in the bedroom, and their chemistry is explosive! Just as Ember starts to open her heart to Tripp, he needs to focus more on his ball game. Will Ember be happy being benched, or will they finally make their life together a homerun? Ember and Tripp are so great together, supporting and challenging each other, and their chemistry was explosive. I really enjoyed all their friends and family who added so much support and fun to this story as well.
Summer Morton and Curt Bonnem did a great job bringing these characters and story to life. They delivered all the fun banter, emotion, and steam so flawlessly, making me enjoy this story about friendship, family, growth, and love even more.

Ember’s story is heartbreaking and drew me in right away. She’s struggling to care for her young twin sisters after being abandoned by their deadbeat addict parents. Ember has no support system, nobody to help and no one to count on. Her jerk of an ex had the nerve to dump her because he met someone else. Life just won’t give poor Ember a break.

Tripp is the hot baseball player next door and her closest friend. He’s the one constant in her life and always willing to help. She doesn’t want her friend to do for her little family but once she truly lets him in, she’s so relieved to have someone sharing the load, it’s amazing. Tripp rocketed to the top of the book boyfriend list because he’s just dreamy. These two are sweet and steamy and perfect in every way. Their story made me so happy!

Ember is a strong, independent young woman who is taking care of her 6 year old twin sisters in lew of her deadbeat parents who consistently are inconsistent. She's an EMT and a college student on top of caring for the girls so when her long distance boyfriend dumps her for another woman, it takes the cake and she crumbles. Tripp is her best guy friend that has had a crush on her for years but never made his move and now that Ember is single there a glimmer of hope for them.

After a night with a few too many drinks all the inhibitions are down and they dip their toe into romance territory but settle on a friends with benefits arrangement that leads to some very spicy but also heartfelt moments that blur the lines and make them fall for one another.

Watching Ember navigate the constant changes and still prioritize those little girls was admirable to see. And Tripp in awe of her as she embraces all the curveballs life throws at her. It's a beautiful story about finding peace and solace in the family that you make for yourself and allowing love in when you least expect it.

Summer Roberts and Curt Bonnem delivered wonderful performances on this title and add so much presence and personality to the story and characters. Overall a great read!

For readers, especially romance lovers like me, there are certain characters in a particular story that you know from the get-go that they're meant to be. That's what it was like for me while I was reading Friends with Benefits. Tripp and Ember were meant to be together. I knew that from the first pages of reading their story.

I love Ember's grit and enduring sacrifice for her family. Her unconditional love for her little twin sisters is something that's truly awe-inspiring. Despite her emotional baggage and unavailability, she has found solace with Tripp.

I have been intrigued by this pair ever since I caught a glimpse of them in the first two Friend Zone books. And I must say that the wait was totally worth it! I couldn't stop reading until I reached the end.

I loved their easy and effortless friendship. When it shifted into something more, I just couldn't help but root for their love. Like I said, it's one of those stories when you just know that these two characters are meant to be.

Friends + Benefits = ???

Friends with Benefits is the third book in the Friend Zone Series by Nicole Blanchard. This story is about Tripp and Ember and it is a wonderful story. Tripp is a guy that you want to grab and just hold onto for dear life and never let him go. He is sexy as heck, handsome, generous, supportive and great between the sheets. Ember is a wonderful character that has so much heart it almost hurts when you read this. She is the mother hen to everyone, at home, at work and with friends. She gives so much of herself away to everyone else that you just want give her a medal.
This story is a charming and romantic friends which turns into a with benefits situation. But will it turn into a full blown romance and forever love?
This is a well written book with a nicely crafted story that also adds in some sports. The characters, including the supporting, are well developed. Overall this is another book by the author that I would recommend.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

🎧 New author and new narrator again. My second from Ms. Roberts. This is out in hardcover, paperback and ebook. Soon in audio.

🎧 For reasons I can only blame on my shitty mood these days, I pressed play on this offered ALC, fearing that I will not enjoy it. I am glad I was proven wrong. It was just right. I loved how the whole story was about them, but the bits and pieces around them where not getting my attention from these two. I might have been confused a couple of times with the ages of the twins, but I think that is just my seasonal allergy to kids. 😝

🎧 I salute and admire people who are like her. Through circumstances, having to deal with so much, and doing it like that. You people out there, you have my admiration.

❗️ Disclaimer : My rants, ramblings, and incoherent thoughts might be considered spoilers by some. Also, often, I do not read trigger warnings or blurbs.

🎧 It was cozy and friends to lovers and she is handling to many plates at any given time, she struggles, he is a unicorn friend, the ones that hardly exist.

🎧 Thank you, again . It was a pleasure.

Friends with Benefits is my first book from Nicole Blanchard and it was a quick, fun friends to more story.

Ember is having a hard time taking care of her twin sisters and dealing with a bad break-up. Tripp is her best friend and has been in love with her for years. When she starts to see him as more than a friend, she wants to keep it casual and easy. Tripp, though, is determined to make this chance with Ember count. He wants more and is hoping she'll see how perfect they are for each other.

Ember was kind and hardworking. She always put others first, but it left her stressed and sometimes doubting herself. Tripp was a good friend and there to support and love Ember. The author did a nice job developing their relationship from friends to more as they finally explored their feelings for each other.

I want to check out the first two books in the series too.

Thank you to the author for providing an ARC for an honest review.

When all is lost, our friends are who we can lean on, right?

Ember's relationship with Tripp can't be classified as "just friends", but the two have made their non-romantic relationship work for roughly 4 years. But, one kiss changes everything in the biggest way.

I liked Tripp and his easy brand of confidence and understanding. He was patient with Ember as she sorted her issues out, but knew exactly when to push her to get out of her head. He makes me want my own replica of him.

Ember is accustomed to taking care of everyone to the detriment of her own needs and wants. And for some time, she's wanted Tripp. As she navigates her family & personal problems, she's amazingly resilient but she's the only person who doesn't see it. I liked that she finally stood up for her sisters so that they could have a stable home.

I enjoyed this warm, heart-stoppingly sweet romance.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.

Entertaining read

I really enjoyed this one! It pulled me in from beginning to end and I loved watching Ember and Tripp. Ember has been taking care of her twin sisters pretty much since they were born as her parents are not good parents and she had to take care of herself for the most part and then her mom had her sisters. She is an EMT and going to school and essentially raising her twin sisters who are about 5 during the main part of the story. She is paying the bills and keeping a roof over their heads and has let her mom and dad stay at her apartment even though she covers everything. Tripp was interested in Ember from the moment he met her but she told him she could be friends but had no time for anything else. He is in the apartment next door and it has allowed them to build a very good friendship though Tripp still likes Ember but he will take her in his life however he can get it. Then it finally comes to a spot where they decide to have a friends with benefits arrangement and they settle into it easily. I loved watching them build that side of their relationship as well and knowing that Tripp was up for whatever Ember was ready for. Her parents disappear and she is on her own for her sisters and is figuring out how that is going to affect the future and what she needs to do to make sure that her sisters are fully taken care of.
The narrators did a great job with the characters and bringing them to life with the action and emotion going on in the story. I really enjoyed it.

Book 3 of the Friends Zone series is a brilliant read.
Ember is an amazing character. the has commited her life to bringing up her twin sisters and when her long term boyfriend dumps her she sets her sights on a quick wallow before life takes over. circumstances up the pressure on her life but there is one godsend Tripp.
Tripp has been Embers neighbour for years and has held a torch since day one. When Ember suddenly wants to find out what a good physical relationship could be like how can he resist. and can he convince her there is more to to him than physical support and a BFF.
I loved these characters and the plot detail, the rollercoaster of emotion and support is heartwarming.
i definitely recommend this book and series.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
