And I loved it.

You will have to read to find out.
Here is who SHOULD NOT read this whopper of a book: This masterpiece, this classic and yes I have shelved it under Literary Fiction because it IS!
So here is who should NOT read it:
Anyone who is an ardent fan of President Trump.
Anyone eating.
Anyone consuming any kind of beverage..You need to NOT be eating or drinking when you read this.
Anyone who maybe seeking something heavy and dark like I often am but not this time.
Anyone who dislikes "Potty" or "bathroom" humor.
Anyone who gets nauseated at said humor.
Now..who should read this?
Anyone who does not like President Trump.
Anyone who are not eating or drinking.
Anyone who maybe fond of the above mentioned type of humor.
Anyone who would like to, or who have had fantasies of President Trump being really really embarrassed.

I laughed til I cried and laughed some more!
Flushed is so incredibly funny, clever, witty, and touched every funny bone I had! I laughed so much I cried, my nose ran, my gut hurt so much but I couldn't stop laughing! The President of the United States is visiting the British Prime Minister at his home and takes a giant poop. After being constipated for 5 days it was a whooper. With the giant Turds and paper, the toilet stops up. Now the President is in a dilemma...how to hide the poop! I haven't laughed so hard like this in so long! Loved it!

It was funny but at 50% in, I thought it was too long. And I don't often say that about things that run to only 27 pages.

Despite the disclaimer and although the protagonist of this amusing satirical short story remains unnamed, I think he’s a figure people will recognise. I’d add that the farcical situation said character finds himself in is just close enough to the truth to give the social commentary some sting, which is a nice contrast to the ‘stink.’
‘Stink’ because, as the name suggests, faecal matter plays a key role in the story, so if you haven’t achieved Zen enlightenment with potty humour, this may not be the book for you. The same applies if you’re a staunch, dedicated Republican with no sense of humour... potty or otherwise. I also wouldn’t recommend this book to you if you have to eat chocolate while reading. Otherwise, it provides an entertaining and original twist to the euphemism ‘going to the oval office.’

Flushed: The Meantime Stories, No. 1 is a humorous short story written by Svingen and Pedersen. He had always been rather circumspect with regard to bodily functions. It had started, he would guess, when his sister had made a big deal out of entering a bathroom after he had used it. Now, he was really only comfortable using his own toilet in his own home. He had gotten quite adept at constraining nature’s course when at events and such, but this current trip had already been five days out, and finally nature won the battle. While rendered very uncomfortable by the strange surroundings and the fact that world leaders were assembled just on the other side of the door, he couldn’t help but gaze with both satisfaction and awe at the one he had just squeezed out. He even took a few photos with his smart phone; after all, he was the best at just about everything, including, it seemed, mammoth and perfectly formed excrement. The situation quickly went from giddy relief to outright panic, however, when he tried to flush away the evidence. Failing the first time, he gamely flushed once more with predictably awful results. What could he do now? How to resolve it? He could fix it. With his impressive IQ and problem-solving skills, he could easily fix this.
Svingen and Pedersen’s wry and humorous short story, Flushed: The Meantime Stories, No. 1, takes the secret dread every visitor feels on discovering that their host’s toilet won’t flush and turns it into an entertaining look at how a self-important, impetuous and entitled political leader might attempt to salvage his dignity and honor while safely disposing of his poo in another bathroom. Flushed is a prime example of dark humor, of the grotesque, as the reader both laughs at the idiocy and toilet humor while fearing all the while just what will happen to the country and the world in the meantime. The authors’ writing is skillful and seductively smooth, and I found I was unable to stop reading this absurd and awfully seductive tale of power, politics and poo. Some readers may be offended by the scatological subject matter, and others may feel that the authors tread a little too closely to current politics and political leaders. The rest of us will, no doubt, be both entertained by the absurdity and troubled by the reality of our situation. I know I fell in the latter category. That said, I enjoyed some robust laughter as I read this brilliant little story and am looking forward to more stories from these authors. Flushed: The Meantime Stories, No. 1 is most highly recommended.

Flushed by Svingen and Pederson is the first book in the Meantime series. The title is very deceptive and would be more accurately written as {{Not Flushed}} but after reading the story I must give way and appreciate author literary license.
“A retching reflex causes him to turn around and throw his right hand as far away from himself as he can, upward and outward, into a well-known, infamous salute.” (loc 403-404). From this point of the short story to the end there are elements of humor. Before this point, the attempts at humor are good, funny to some, and creative. Unfortunately, they are too close to the truth. There could not be a thinner disguise. For that reason, I found myself more distressed while reading this than amused.
I read the stories in this three-volume short story set in the reverse order, this one last. If I had read this one first, I would not have read the others and that would have been a shame. I found volumes two and three, Converted and Warped, superior to Flushed but that was because Flushed was too depressing.
Flushed was like making fun of an almost incurable disease. After a cure is found, looking back on this might be funny to those who have not had to live through it.
Still, the writing was good and in all fairness, I felt it warranted four Amazon stars.

A totally base but funny satire that unashamedly pokes fun at the intimate bathroom moments and dilemmas that we’ve all experienced, young and old, rich and poor, and not least the most powerful man on the planet. I suspect that for some readers their rating and enjoyment of this short story will likely be proportional to their like or dislike of a certain world leader from the world of business and reality television, reading it as a frighteningly funny accurate parody or equally, as a crude, childish and distasteful one.
Without giving too much away, a world leader, presumably the US President (well obviously really) is faced with having to decide on multiple issues of grave international importance whilst simultaneously trying to figure out how to deal with a particularly personal and acutely embarrassing problem of his own making.
This story is clearly a political satire, though more in the style of Viz comics than Swift’s Gulliver’s Travels. Given the current political climate this story is extremely topical, and whilst equally funny, provides a somewhat scary glimpse at a worst-case scenario. Based purely on my own somewhat odd taste in humour and the topicality of the story I’m happy to award this story a five-star rating … had me laughing from start to finish, thoroughly enjoyed. it

A quick 30 minute read and is a story about how an American president (but I think we know who it is based on) handles “an uninterrupted log of such length and girth” when it refuses to be flushed down the UK Prime Minister’s toilet after he has been constipated for 5 days from having a phobia of “pooping away from home.
I found this an absolutely hilarious read which unashamedly pokes fun at the intimate bathroom moments and dilemmas that we’ve all experienced in our time but have probably never admitted to.

Hilarious!
This short story contains some of the funniest, tongue in cheek writing I've read in a long time. The clear target of this unadulterated humor, in my opinion, is none other than our illustrious president, Donald Trump. To support my hypothesis, I even went back to confirm the publication date while writing this review.
If you're up for a hearty laugh while reading an allegory of our current president, you will love this one!

Grossly Funny
At first I was trailblazer out. I even stopped reading and went on to another book. But I went back and read a couple of the reviews. I decided I'd give it another chance. I'm glad I did; because it became "laugh out loud" funny. As I read, a picture of the current president came into focus, and that made this hilarious! Loads of funny lines and mental images. Brilliant!

I thought the writing was exceptional and the thought process amazingly accurate. This book fits the current political climate exactly. The story was "Laugh Out Loud" funny. And, I did laugh a lot while reading it. However, the satire makes a person think more critically; better than Saturday Night Live. Keep on writing. I want to read more.

OMG!!!
I laughed so hard that it must count as aerobic exercise. No names are named, so nobody can gripe or complain, but this is political satire at its very, very best. I admit I got this as a free read but it is well worth the list price, if you don't take yourself and the world too seriously.

We have come too far . . . . .
I had to keep double checking to see if this was about the Clinton presidency. On the other hand, just about any of the usual politicians who grow up, think they should be treated like royalty, and allowed to eat at the public trough; deserves to have something like this happen to them.

Schoolboy humour
I'm sorry but u really didn't find it funny. Clever yes. When the President blocks the toilet during a summit he tries to hide the evidence in a pocket. What ensues is sheer chaos and WWIII. Not really my type of humour but nevertheless a clever little story.

The first 40% of this story tried to kill me. The rest is very funny as well, but that beginning...the inner dialogue of the president is pure gold. Well worth the 15 minutes it takes to read.

Alternate timeline for Trump, comedy
It took a bit to figure it out but the main character was plainly Trump. Only this character seemed more self aware and effective than the real thing. In general it was amusing, too bad it was a shaggy dog story.

A president has to use the restroom after dropping a verbal bomb that is off script. What could go wrong while he's in the restroom and how does he try to rectify the problem? Good grief - bizzare teenage boy humor that just might make you laugh!

Loved this story!!! At first I thought it was a ripoff of “Big Boy” by David Sedaris, but soon realized its more of a commentary on a certain POtuS, and is, sadly, quite accurate.

A decent story
The story was most entertaining but the ending was disappointing. It did hold my attention until the end. I did find it quite funny and enjoyable.
