because it's not a book slump if you don't start adding fanfics to your gr challenge i at least have this review to excuse myself:
✓ desi bi Harry
✓ black Hermione
✓ side Ginny/Luna, Dean/Seamus, and bi/pan Blaise
✓ such a slow burn that it starts in 5th year when they barely try to function together without trying to kill each other then time-jumps to '8th year' and then time-jumps again to their career life
✓ acknowledgment of PTSD and survivor's guilt
✓ acknowledgment of the need of the professional therapist's guidance as well as other forms of mental healing
✓ Draco actually doing a lot of work to change the ways he was brought up to think, making his own decisions gradually becoming a better person — he, of course, makes a lot of mistakes along the way but it's only realistic
✓ inter-house unity
✓ so much obliviousness
✓ did i mention slow burn??

November 21, 2021could've been about 70 pages shorter. still very good.

Fic goes from 5th year to post-Hogwarts. First half was most satisfying for me. The UST and cheesy dialogue were harder for me to take post-Hogwarts. Well-written, but a little too fluffy and the roadblocks to happiness didn't resonate for me.
