Excellent book if you want to get control of your emotional eating habits once and for all. No need for fad diets or special foods. Some excellent points on why we overeat and beat ourselves up about it.

I was resistant to the books message at first, but as I opened up, I couldn't deny how true it all was. Heavy Brain is a great and powerful read.

Probably a little too far ahead of the curve for most people, but I loved Tommy's concepts in this book.

I had take this book slowly as it is very intense. At least that was my experience as someone with disordered eating. It is the most helpful piece of writing I have ever read. His Fitness Mentor podcast is awesome too.

I had an older version of the book which had some typos and errors that have since been fixed. I would've given it four stars before, but I reread the updated version and it's almost perfect. Such a different way of looking at weight loss and your body.

A very eye opening book about the roots of our most destructive, unhealthy behaviours. I really enjoyed this inward journey.

Loved the evolutionary bio/psych approach to the obesity issue. This will be great fuel to use with helping my clients.

I enjoyed the stories and conversational tone of the writing. I saw a few bad reviews about the writing and editing on Amazon, but I thought it was well done. Certainly not your average 'diet book'.

What an excellent book. Painful and deep, but excellent.

You may cry for a little bit at certain points, but by the end of the book you'll have greater self love and a forgiving attitude toward yourself.

I saw some negative reviews on the U.S. Amazon. Not sure why. Maybe they wanted a traditional diet book. This is the best 'weight loss' book I have ever read.

I really enjoyed the conversational nature of the writing and the stories he uses to paint a picture. Some people may be turned off by this style, but it was perfect for me.

An intelligent look at weight loss

This book gives an in depth explanation of why we continually go back to unhealthy choices. It is a useful tool for those of us in the never ending loop of weight loss and gain - no quick fixes but a call to be compassionate with ourselves while taking responsibility for our health.

Great book. I came across it right when I needed it. The writing could be more clear and less demanding, but the concept is excellent.

I think because I'm trying to get out of the diet mindset and into something else, this book wasn't what I thought. It had great reviews and it might have been something more had I been looking for it. I already knew a lot of what I read due to reading Brain Over Binge 6 years ago so it wasn't anything knew to me. I did learn a few new things and I will keep them in mind going forward.
