I have to call it quits on this one. The plot isn’t bad it’s quiet interesting to be honest but the writing is just not it. It’s so slow, extra molasses slow and I have put this book down a number of times. Even to get to their first kiss took over a chapter… it became too tedious even when it came to their first sexy time and a full blown conversation was happening… the description started to be like something my grandma would love.. I skimmed to try to get to the end but it was obvious who the perpetrator and the romance was so boring.

I love all of Rhonda Lee Carver’s books but this one just has a little extra something.
From page one I was hooked and stayed up all night reading.
The story of Wynn leaving a marriage with problems and moving out on her own drew me in right away. Zander is the special agent who live right next door to this newly free woman. When they meet you could feel the chemistry. The build up between Wynn and Zander was great. A strong woman and a protective man who just can’t fight the attraction to each other.
The intimate moments between Wynn and Zander were very steamy and hot. The sweet romantic moments will melt you hear.
Rhonda writes about some very hot men and Zander did not disappoint at all.

Zander Cade is a special agent. Wynn had to get away from her boyfriend, who was deep into crime. She travels to get to her grandmother's house - right next door to Zander. They become friends and then lovers.
I really enjoyed it. There was lots of danger, it was very intense in parts, although a lovely HEA. Great characters and storyline. I love reading this author. 5☆

This was a emotional read with all the drama, the mysteries and several things going on at once. Zander and Wynn didn't start out that great but as the story goes along, the reader is drawn into it. I loved the whole thing and couldn't put it down!! GREAT book!!!

Rhonda Lee Carver has definitely hit the ball out of the park with this book. This story takes you on a roller coaster ride that you won't soon forget. All the best elements are represented in this story; murder, mystery, drugs, the Mob, and romance. This is a story that has you hooked from page one.
Wynn Makelti has just escaped a controlling boyfriend and has run to Wyoming to regroup and carve out a new life. She stops off to grab a few groceries and runs into Zander Cade, they both want a certain package of cookies. Sparks fly, but Wynn is not interested. She soon finds out that cookie man is her neighbor. Reluctantly she accepts his help in getting her place heated.
Wynn and Zander get closer, the past is catching up with Wynn, the murders are increasing and the plot(s) thickens. All this and a hot romance...

This not only was another great story by Rhonda Lee Carver in the Lawmen of Wyoming series but it was also a story that was very different from her previous books. One of my favorite things about her books is when there is a mystery, she is able to keep you guessing through the entire story. Just when I thought I knew the “who” the story would throw another curve ball. Special Agent Zander is thrown from his comfortable, and quiet country life when Wynn Makelti shows up next door. Wynn is looking for a new life, with a future unlike her past and moving into her late grandma’s house seemed like the best plan, but trouble seemed to have followed her. Thank goodness Zander lives next door, but is she able to trust again? This is a MUST read with the series or as a stand alone!

The secrets we keep to protect others sometimes cost too much. Wynn found herself in a no win dead end relationship. When she couldn't take it anymore she left, but leaving Rory didn't end all her problems. Moving to Crooked Creek she discovers she has a hot and sexy new neighbor. But meeting Zander didn't go smoothly, but in time she found him quite enticing. Due to her circumstances she tried to keep to herself but there was only so much she could resist. As they began to grow closer secrets threaten their new found fondness of each other. Not to mention a serial killer on the loose and her ex on the prowl, things really heat up in the little three stoplight town. In the end they discover that "each day is a gift."

This is book #2 in the Lawmen of Wyoming series. The book had me from the very first pages & I didn’t want to put it down; I read it in 2 nights. Zander Cade is what every woman wants in a man. He’s protective, able to take care of things, sexy, & very capable. Wynn runs away from a bad relationship with some items she has no clue that she has. Wynn lets Zander get close, tells him her story and life takes off for them. Of course, the bad guys come for their property. This story has everything a fantastic story needs...romance, friendship, some agony, suspense, humorous moments and steamy moments. It’s highly recommended by me...Rhonda Lee Carver makes it a must read. I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.

Love the Cade Family
Wow I thought the first book was good. Zander Cade retired navy seal, now a DCI agent with tattoos, a Stetson, and all Alpha. What an amazing book boyfriend.😉😉, Wynn running away to Crooked Creek to get away from her low life boyfriend, Rory who is doing some illegal things with some not so friendly men. Running from Rory lead her to Zander and a serial killer. Loved all the alpha brothers, and Zander's sister showing up, yes she is in law enforcement also. One negative there was no mention of Phoenix and his girlfriend from the first book. This book has a little touch of the mob, murder, attempted murder, and kidnapping. I have already downloaded book#3.

I received an ARC copy of this book and I voluntarily chose to review it. I loved this book. It is a fantastic story and it's well written. I loved the mystery element in the story. Rhonda Lee Carver has become one of my go to authors, I know when I see her name on a book I know I will be getting a great story. A serial killer on the loose in a small town and the old boyfriend after our heroine the recipe for a great story. I encourage everyone to get this one it is worth you time and effort. I can't wait to see what brother comes next, the hero has 3 brothers who need that special woman and a sister needing the special man. This is a great series!!!!!

What an action packed read!! There were multiple things going on and it kept me on the edge of my seat.
Zander and Wynn meet and while there is an attraction, lets just say their first interaction doesn't go very well, along with the second time they meet. When these two decide to start over, this is where the fun really begins. The chemistry between these two is hot and fun to watch.

Rhonda Lee Carver can literally do no wrong in my eyes! Seriously, how does she do it?! :)
Wynn and Zander were just FANTASTIC. This book had some suspense, was super hot, and literally kept me hooked the entire flipping time! The stories have depth, the characters are extremely well developed, and the book even had me laughing. Gosh, I cannot say enough good things about this book and would highly recommend it! I would read book 1 first just to get the full experience, but you CAN read book 2 without having read the first. You don't want to miss out on the Lawmen of Wyoming!

This one starts off by grabbing your attention and making you wonder where the story will go next. Whynn doesn't just leave her creepy boyfriend, she runs. Taking nothing but what will fit in a duffel. It doesn't take long after arriving in Crooked Creek for sparks to start firing between her and the sexy lawman Zander Cade. They both have some baggage to work through, though hers is a little more dangerous.
These Cade men are some sexy beasts! I do wish we had gotten a little more of the kinky sexy that was hinted at a few times though.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED READING ADVENTURE
Hopefully there will be a book three for this new series. These lawman stories are fantastic, intense, full of suspense and constant action. The characters are strong and dynamic with some emotional baggage th a t will need to be resolve before reaching any romantic conclusion. This author is creative in her style to keep the guilty person's identity almost to the end.

This story was intriguing and sweet. However, I lost count of the number of mistakes, typos, and random wrong words. I was reading on Kindle and am writing this as of 12/15/24. They occurred so frequently that I was regularly pulled out of, and distracted from, the story to the point I wondered whether AI was (poorly) involved. The author deserves a better editing process for her work, because her stories are exactly what I’m looking for in a romantic suspense novel!

The Cade Brothers, got to love them. This story has Zander Cade a Special Agent. Wynn Makelti left a wacky relationship and drove all the way from New York to WY in the middle of winter. Young women are being killed, and the MOB and the ex are after Wynn. Great characters and story. Can’t wait to read the other books about the other four brothers and one sister.

"Wanted by the Lawman" (Lawmen of Wyoming Book 2) by Rhonda Lee Carver is a great read. I enjoyed Wynn and Zander's story. This book is packed with action, twists and turns, suspense, passion, close family, hot lawmen, interesting characters, and more. I can't wait to see what happens next in this series! Highly recommend to all fans of romance, suspense, close family, lawmen, and series.

What a stay up late story that had to be read to the end. Did not figure out who it was until the end.
Love Zander and Wynn. They clashed and brought sparks to the story. Love this series and can’t wait for the next one to see what the Cade brothers and sister get into next. Highly recommend it.

Wynn's situation at the beginning of the story captured my attention and kept me turning pages. Wanted by the Lawman is my favorite of the series so far. Rhonda Lee Carver wrote the perfect hero with Zander! I loved everything about him. He is definitely my favorite Cade brother.

Oh my word..cover to cover this book had me on the edge of my seat wanting to know more. Murder, suspense, intrigue, healing, courage, and of course romance! Special Agent Zander Cade is a hunk of man and he is smitten with the new girl in town Wynn Makelti. It just so happens she's his new neighbor and fiesty at that. You'll love this continuation of the Lawman of Wyoming book set!

The chemistry between Wynn and Zander is apparent from the second they bump into each other while purchasing some cookies! Though neither is looking or ready for a relationship, fate would have it otherwise! This is a great read full of mystery, suspense, murder and romance! Great characters and story line - I recommend it!

The Cade brothers certainly are hot and sexy Wyoming lawmen. This time Zander Cade takes center stage by being a good neighbor. It doesn’t hurt when that neighbor turn out to be an attractive woman. Wynn has secrets and danger follows her and Zander is just the cowboy/agent to protect her. This story has a few twist and turns that makes each chapter more interesting. 3.75 Stars.

Exciting from the first page! Wynn has faced so many challenges beginning, yet not ending, with losing her eyesight. One of the most touching love stories of overcoming, learning to trust and protectiveness ever. The suspense and drama that ensues makes this a page turner! Book gifted to me.

I thought the story was very romantic and had a lot of suspense. Kept you guessing who was murdering young women. Loved Zander and Wynn had a love hate relationship but we're definitely attracted to one another. Read to find out if Zander caught the killer and if Wynn and he got there HEA.
