He's all puppy charm, but he smiles like a wolf. Trust him? She'd have to be out of her mind.

All Sandy wanted was some R&R in Sydney before joining the Earth Ship Siren as head of Military Police. What she gets is a night of mystery and pleasure with a man so wickedly fascinating he can't possibly be law-abiding.

For professional con man Peter Stanton, Master Sergeant Alanna Sanderson, with her kick-ass body and cool blue eyes, is the most fun he's ever had. Eight months later, on the Siren, he gets to meet her again, but now he's Prisoner 141, and they're out among the stars, half way to the penal colony on Solitaire.

When a micrometeroid shower strikes the convoy, Sandy and Prisoner 141 are stranded on a stricken ship. Will he pull off the ultimate confidence trick and sacrifice Sandy for his freedom?

If only she could command her heart as easily as she wields her stun gun, because when he betrays her, as he surely must, she's going to have to kill him.

This book is part of a series set in a shared universe, but it has its own romantic story arc and can be read as a stand-alone.

When I was very small, I had an aunt who would tell me the most wonderful fairy tales - all original. I grew up, as little girls do, but the magic of story still dazzles and enthralls me. On the good days, I like to think of myself as Scheherazade's sister. On the bad days - not so much.

I remain an incurable romantic who loves happy endings, heart-pounding adventure and the eventual triumph of good over evil. All hail the guys in the white hats - unless the ones wearing black are more...um...interesting?

I live in a comfortable, messy old house in the Australian suburbs. I'm small, noisy and tend to wave my hands around a lot, which can be unfortunate if the tale I'm telling happens to have explosions in it.

Book five in this sci fi romance series from three popular authors and this time it's the turn of Ms Rossetti to steer us on course. We catch up with those traveling onboard the ES Siren but this time we get to meet some of those traveling on their sister ship. In space a lot can go wrong and it's important to remember that beyond the safety of the ships walls lies only danger and death so when a shower of micrometeoroids causes problems it's time to get stuck in and save whatever you can. Master Sergeant Alanna Sanderson had a night to remember before she left earth with a very sexy bad boy but what she hadn't known was her delicious one night stand Peter was a con artst. Now deep in space it's time to try and help the stricken ship that accompanies them but when a call goes out for volunteers prisoner 141 is a huge surprise to Alanna as yes you've guessed it he's the man who haunts her dreams! Pulled in all sorts of directions Alanna has a job to do but danger is waiting and Alanna and Peter who now calls himself Paul quickly find themselves in the thick if it. Can Paul be trusted or will he see this as a chance and let's face it as a con man he's rather fond of grabbing opportunities!
I really liked that the heroine was a slightly more mature woman who has worked hard to achieve her personal success as it's a bit boring always reading about twenty something's . Truth be told she's a bit of a cougar as Paul is her junior but that doesn't prevent the sparks flying and this couple heating up the sheets! Paul thinks he knows exactly what he wants in life and just where he's going but has to face some hard truths and luckily he's not exactly a totally bad guy. I had visions of a Robin Hood type character as he only preys on those who are wealthy and indeed has his own moral code. I really liked both these characters and I'm so enjoying the journey. I think if we did set out to start a colony people would be looking to hook up and find someone to share the hardships with so this idea of couples connecting works very well. This is possibly not the sexiest story in the series but my favourite character Con showed up so I'm a very happy bunny. Great plot with action thrown in and I'm now off to read what happens next. Just one note and that's simply to say you don't need to be a fan of futuristic story lines to enjoy these books as they are all incredible stories that entertain and sometimes surprise.

This book five in this intriguing Saga. Denise did a wonderful job of bringing characters from her first the first three books in the series back to life. I enjoyed the connections it added a continuity that is often missing in divergent series.

Alanna Sanderson AKA Sandy was promoted to Master Sargent shortly before the Siren left Earth and in typical celebration mode, she got laid. Only this one night with this one man marked her. Leaving Earth behind was no hardship but leaving him behind? It was harder than Sandy could ever imagine. But when she found him as part of the prisoner population EIGHT months later, Sandy was more than a little confused.

Peter Stanton/Paul DeWitt.. was one of the smoothest cons around. But one night with Kick Arse Master Sargent Sandy made him careless. Caught, convicted and sentenced to seven years of hell on Solitaire, Peter was determined to get back to Earth.. and to stay out of Sandy's path. But the best laid plans and all that..

A crisis aboard another ship throws them together and Paul and Sandy discover that the sparks from their first and only time together could be fanned into an inferno!

This book was sexy and edgy and just liked Shona's book had a bit of a non traditional concept, aside from being in space, her being a cop and he being a con *grins*. Sandy is several years older than Paul. This is still not something that is written about a lot in romance today so it's nice to see Ms. Rosetti step outside the box and tell her story the way she needed to tell it.

Mine to Keep is book 5 in the ES Siren Series. The series contains books by Denise Rossetti, Shona Husk and Mel Tescho and follows several ships making the long voyage from Earth to give humans a fresh start on the planet Solitaire.

I've read books four, five and six in the series before sitting down to review the second instalment of three stories in the series.

In this one, Master Sergeant Alanna Sanderson finds herself face to face with Peter Stanton, a con man who bears the humiliation of getting caught.

Although I'm amazed that three authors could put a series together so seamlessly I must admit my preference is for Rossetti's contributions. For me, her characters come to life. They are the most grounded in themselves and relatable. There is a real humanness about them I find appealing and for Mine to Keep and Yours to Desire it's the way I can identify with her characters that brings the stories to life.

I will definitely continue with this series.

I have read all of the novellas written so far in the ES Siren Series. Mine to Keep: ES Siren 5 stands out as the very best in the group to me. Even though it is short I read it in only a couple of hours. I enjoyed it immensely. Mine to Keep is a fully developed story that involves as much suspense as it does romance. The characters are written so that I was able to get inside their heads to see what they were thinking along with their actions.

The story involves danger from space micrometeoroids showers that causes major damage to one of the other ships. That is a realistic concern as far as I know about space travel, at least it is entirely believable. Then there is a serial killer loose, which it makes for a gripping read set in the crippled space ship. Sandy stays true to her straight shooter by the book character all the way through. While Peter/Paul is as entertaining as the con man who wins her heart. Wonderful characterization allows them to play off each other.

My only issues with this story is Brax being back in Paul’s cell at the end, would he not have been gunning for Paul? Paul’s change in his plans about remaining on Solitaire seemed to be somewhat abrupt, but I did love how he continued to get Sandy’s attention once the decision is made.

Sandy spends her last night on Earth having hot sex with a sexy stranger. The next day she leaves aboard the Earth Ship Siren for a new world. Sandy, is the head of the Military Police and when there is trouble on another ship, Sandy and volunteer prisoners are called to salvage what they can. To her shock prisoner 141 is the man she spent the best night of her life with. Can they trust each other to survive? I am loving this series. I loved Peter and Sandy, their chemistry is wonderful. The plot is excellent. Please note if you haven’t read the others in the series, I do recommend them they are wonderful but this can be read as a stand-alone. Enjoy.

I did not want this book to end! This was such a well-written story and I it left me hot for both Sandy and Peter -uh, Paul? Sandy's straight-forward, no bullshit attitude and her ability to stay calm under pressure combined with Paul's ability to talk his way out of situations made them the perfect team. Their steamy encounters left me with my mouth watering. The action scenes had my heart pounding and had me cheering for Sandy and Paul. This dream team is the perfect package for this story. Loved it!

I like this series and I'm a big fan of Denise Rossetti.
This story was actually quite tame for her and I was a little disapointed in that regard.
I liked the H and h - they were a bit unusual pairing and that totally worked for me.
I'm a fan of futuristic romance and I really like the world that was built with the series so far.
I'm enjoying the different ways the different authors are contributing to it.

I only wish the couple had spent a bit more time together rather then agonising over things apart.

Recommended read to all lovers of futuristic romance with some heat.
