Mountain Man's Fever #1

Mountain Man's Beauty

Rate this book
I had found her by chance, but needed her for keeps.
I didn't know what I was missing before I found Ayla.
She was a stranger that made my heart race and my body hot.
All I had to do was get my lips on hers and give her the temptation.

Ayla:
My mountain man saved me.
Now all I can think about is him.
It’s cold outside and it drives me to his bed.
He warms me up in more ways than one.
A stranger has never been so tempting before.
Now I can’t get him out of my mind.

Bill:
I found her in a desperate position.
She was so damn hot,
Far more beautiful than what I was used to in this rugged place.
I had moved to Alaska to get away from it all.
But something pulled me to Ayla.
I needed her and I couldn’t resist her innocence.
or her lips.
After one night she was mine.
I had claimed her and I was never letting her go.
I wasn’t going to let anything stand in our way, nothing.

 Instant Attraction
Alya is leaving her home behind for now as she's getting over man trouble so decided to visit and stay in the cabin that her aunt had left her in the mountains of Alaska. It was June but there was still snow on the ground and Alya wasn't used to such driving conditions and ended up in a snowdrift.  Fortunately for her, Bill, who lives on the mountain had seen her van stopped and came to her rescue on his snowmobile.  As it was dark her took her to his own cabin for the night as he knew her cabin needed extensive work doing to it to be habitable.  Bill wasn't just doing this out of the kindness of his own heart - he took one look at her and wanted her.  he couldn't believe that such a gorgeous young woman was here and also seemed to like him too.  The chemistry between them caused sizzling sparks to 'fly' when they met and each moment together increases the heat between them. He calls in some friends who owe him a favour to help sort out the cabin for her but this is when trouble starts!  Alya's encounter with a bear is not what is really frightening and Bill needs to protect her anyway that he can.  Lauren Woods is one of my favourite writers as she creates such great plots that are realistic and yet intriguing.  My imagination was captured in page one and I was kept enthralled till the very end as the suspense was very well written. To find out if Alya will forgive Bill and if he survives a potentially dangerous encounter you're going to have to do what I did and buy a copy of this to find out.  I'm now waiting as patiently as possible for Lauren's next romantic adventure. You won't be disappointed plus there is extra bonus materials to entertain you too!

I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book. But do what I did and buy a copy to get the bonus story too!!!

DEFINITELY  RECOMMENDED.

***I voluntarily read this ARC to give an honest review*** A good read. Ayla sold all of her things, packed her van with her remaining possessions and started out on an adventure after being divorced from a bad marriage. Her aunt died and left her a land with a cabin in Alaska. She wound up in a snow bank that she couldn't get out of. She was rescued by, Bill, a mountain man. He was immediately attracted to her and decided he would take her home with him and make her his. He was actually her neighbor on the mountain. As they passed her cabin she saw how in disrepair it was. Bill wanted her to stay with him until he and some of the other men got it in livable condition. Ayla was attracted to the huge man and when she awoke freezing (Bill's plan, he let the fire go out.) She crawled into bed with him rubbing herself against him thinking he was asleep. He didn't take her then, but the next night he did. He didn't want any of the men he had acquired to help him to have her. He warned her about them. The main person that he told her was dangerous she didn't believe him. Her first night alone in her cabin Trent (unknown to her) tried to break in. Bill followed his tracks and they led him to Trent's cabin. Bill wound up in jail. He said he'd take care of whoever tried to hurt her and he did. He made an example of him and now he knew no one would ever bother her again.

When Ayla sells everything and moves to Alaska to a cabin that she inherited from her aunt, she gets stranded on the way there and Bill happens to come across her. He takes her to the cabin since he knew her aunt and he lives close by, but the cabin is in no shape to be lived in so he takes her to his place. The attraction is immediate and Bill makes it hard for her to resist him but she still wants her cabin so Bill calls in favours to get it fixed up. The men helping notice what a beauty she is and a few show interest...can Bill hold onto her ?
A great read that is fast paced with steamy scenes, insta lust/love, a rugged mountain man and a beautiful woman. I enjoyed these two and the attraction they have along with Ayla’s determination but also how naive she is thinking she can do it on her own. Along with Bill’s protectiveness of her and willing to do what it takes to protect her and that he wasn’t a man wh***, made them great for each other. I would have liked more background into Bill’s past...why is he in Alaska, what does he do for a living, why is he alone...just a bit more would have been perfect. Also an epilogue, I would have loved to have seen how they work out after she acquired some more like skills in the mountains and how they make out with everything.

I read this book as part of an arc program. I really enjoyed this romance between Bill and Ayla. Ayla moved to Alaska after a bad breakup and finding out her aunt has left her a cabin in the mountains. When Ayla gets stuck in the snow, she isn't quite sure what to do until Bill comes along and offers her help. When Ayla tells Bill where she was headed, he takes her there only to discover the cabin is in really bad shape. Bill offers Ayla to stay at his place until she can figure out the repairs. Bill is attracted to Ayla and thinks since she is going to be at his house, it gives him the chance to make her his. When the repairs start on Ayla's cabin thanks to Bill's friends, Ayla decides it is time to make a move on Bill. Things go well with the couple until a threat comes to Ayla and causes trouble. I enjoyed this story and really liked Bill. I thought he was an alpha who really didn't know he wanted love until Ayla. There was a twist that made the book a little different from the usual love story. Another good one from Lauren.

I always love books by Lauren Wood and this one is no exception. Since mountain men books are one of my favorite, I read this book in one sitting. Ayla moves to Alaska after her grandmother leaves her a cabin in her will. On the way to her cabin, Ayla ends up stuck in a snowbank in the middle of nowhere. Lucky for her, sexy, mountain man Bill happens by and offers to drive her to the cabin which just happens to be near bill's home. Upon arrival Ayla realizes that the cabin is uninhabitable. Having nowhere to go, Bill offers Ayla his home until she can have the cabin repaired. Ayla accepts his offer. From the moment they meet their physical connection is sizzling hot. “Mountain Man's Beauty” has everything from danger, jealousy, intrigue, tension, passion to a beautiful romance. Ayla was looking for a place of her own to get away from man troubles. She inherited a cabin from an aunt but hadn't seen it. Bill rescues Ayla when her van goes off the road. Sparks are flying as they go look at her cabin before Bill offers for her to stay with him. Bill gets someone friends to help do repairs on the cabin for Ayla all the while hoping she'll change her mind and stay with him. One of the men helping out has his eye on Ayla even though Bill has made it clear she's his and on Ayla's second night in the cabin someone comes for her. She calls Bill and he comes to her rescue again but not without some consequences.

This was a great story about two very different people finding love. The chemistry between Bill and Ayla is electrifying. Once I stated this I couldn't put it down until I was at the end. If you haven't read anything by this author then this book will make you a fast fan.

I was in the mood for a short story, so I thought? Why not grab a book from an author that I've already read a book from...
And that's what I did.
I grabbed a book by Lauren Wood and loved the blurb.
Mountain Man's Beauty is the book in question and explores the lives of Ayla and Bill.
Ayla needed to get away from everything and everyone, so she decided to stay in the mountains in the cabin her aunt left her.
On the way there, she didn't count with the snow and had an accident.
In comes Bill to the rescue...
Bill needed to get away so he moved to the mountains.
He didn't want a woman in his life until he saved Ayla from an accident and offered her his cabin until her car was repaired...
Oh goody... Great book.
It was a quick story full of passion and desire.
The characters worked perfectly with each other and each chapter is addictive.
Once I started to read it, I couldn't stop. It was good.
Great book Lauren.

This one's a treasure to be added to your line up of fantastic books. This story was exciting to read Bill and Ayla were definitely right for each other even if they didn't recognize it in the beginning. Wanting to leave it all behind Ayla couldn't think of a better way upon her grandmother's death then to head to the cabin in rural Alaska mountains she left for her in her will. Stranded in a snow bank in a ditch in the freezing cold Ayla is rescued by a mountain of a man who takes her back to his cabin who is this stranger he says his name is Bill what will he do to her? When I read this book I feel the danger, mystery, lust and love that will draw you into Lauren story and she will have you holding on tight till that last word is read THE END.

Lauren has written a book that can show two people can fall in love in a matter of weeks. Ayla inherited a cabin in Alaska and decided to move there after she caught her husband with another woman. On her way there she got her van stuck in the snow and along came Bill. He helped her out and took her to the cabin where Ayla found that she couldn't stay in it in it's current state. Bill invited Ayla to stay with him and offered to help her fix up the cabin.
Things move very quickly for Bill and Ayla even though neither of them were looking. Between trust issues, determination, murder and stubbornness will they be able to survive?

Enjoyable reading story about Bill and Ayla.

Ayla has inheritate a property from her aunt in Alaska. Never been there once, she's definitely not prepared for the weather. Trying to get to the cabin, she drives off into a ditch.
Billl luckily shows up on a snowmobile, he offers to take her to his place, but she insist on going to her cabin, but didn't surprised it is in utter disarray. So she agree with Bill to stay at his, he is also willing to help her rebuild / fix her cabin.

I recommend the book, heat and chemistry are off the charts. From their first meeting, their physical connection is sizzling hot.
In this book book, you find everything from danger, jealousy, intrigue, tension, passion, beautiful romance.

Alya inherited a cabin in Alaska from her Aunt Angie. After a bad divorce she sells her house packs her things in heads to Alaska. After a surprise snowstorm in June she ends up sliding off the road into a snow drift. Bill a neighbor of her Aunt Angie spots her car in the snow drift and stops to help. He drives her to her aunts cabin and after seeing the shape it's in offers to let her stay with him until they can fix it up. This was a great read. There was an instant attraction between Bill and Alya , they had amazing chemistry. Bill knew almost immediately that he wanted Alya to be his. I really enjoyed this book it was well written and the characters were well developed. The story had action, drama and passionate love scenes. Amazing read. Well written short story with a nice storyline and plot. I like that the characters and how they develop. A passionate and emotional read with twists. Enjoyable and recommendable.

I like the dramatic the story has. But I would have liked it to be longer because it has so much potential. The characters are likeable and they have instant love and attraction.

It is written in dual POV which gives the reader much more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. There are passion, action, drama, hot scenes and lots of chemistry in this amazing story.

Mountain Mans Beauty by Lauren Wood 5 Stars

Great Read!. Lot's of Aww moments.
Keeps you engrossed and interested in what will happen next to Ayla. She seems to have the worst of luck.

When a family tragedy causes Ayla to leave everything behind and move to Alaska she's definitely not preparred for both the weather or the sexy mountain man Bill.

The men of Alaska turn out to be quite forward when it comes to women, lol. And Bill's jealousy is heard loud and clear.

Mature readers, sexual content

What in the world can a mountain man have in common with a city girl. Absolutely nothing but when Ayla and Bill meet in Alaska everything seems to be possible; because Ayla has decided to start a new life and move to Alaska to live in a cabin inherited after her aunt’s death and Bill is a fascinating mountain man who will be absolutely charmed by her beauty. A fast paced and short story that will give a glimpse of what things are going to happen between two opposite characters who are at the same time so alike. A cute read. He was All that She Needed and More. This wonderful author never disappoints with her great short reads. Ayla newly divorced and moved to a cabin in Alaska where her Aunt Angie left her in her Will when she died. Where she meets a Bill who saved her when she was stuck in a snow bank. Ayla was beautiful and smart but not savvy with the cold Alaskan terrain. Bill took over with his need to make her his. Oh so Hot scenes with jealousy, intrigue and alpha hot males fighting for Ayla’s attention. Fantastic must read. This is my honest review of an ARC I received.

This is the first book in the Mountain Man Romance Series and is a standalone. Well written with great characters and a happy ending. It's the romance of Ayla and Bill and before you know it you will get caught up their chemistry and banter. Ayla had recently moved to Alaska after she inherited a cabin there. Not being used to the weather she found herself stranded in the snow when she was rescued by Bill. No spoiler here, but a great romance with lots of mystery, surprises and explosive chemistry. Ayla is a very strong heroine. Moving to Alaska on her own takes guts. She finds herself in some dangerous situations but she has Bill to save her. Bill is overprotective when it comes to Ayla. Even jail time comes into play.

Quick read with a decent plot. The characters were enjoyable and some action takes place. The romance was okay but could have been more.

This was a quick read and I found that I did enjoy it but did feel like parts were a little rushed. Other than that, it was really good.
Ayla moves to Alaska to get away from her ex but ends up stranded in her van. Bill comes up on the van and finds Ayla. He offers to let her stay with him and as they say, the rest was history. She was moving to Alaska to get away from one man but ended up finding the man of her dreams.

I enjoyed the latest from Lauren Wood. When Ayla shows up in the wilds of Alaska, to claim her inheritance, she is looking for the change to her life that she desperately needs. What she finds is much more than she had thought. Bill is a mountain man that finds the beauty on the side of the road and helps her out. The more time they spend together the more they find the one person they didn't know they were missing. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book.

Needing to get away and start over, Ayla decides to move to Alaska to live in the cabin she inherited. When she has an accident, Ayla is rescued by her new neighbor. The chemistry between Bill and Ayla is super hot. Bill calls in favors to help fix Alya's cabin. When someone decides he wants Alya for himself, will Bill be able to save her once again? I'm looking forward to more mountain men stories.

This is an enjoyable read. Ayla and Bill are two very different people and have great chemistry between them. Ayla is a bit naive when she tries to start her new life in the mountains, things are not as she hoped they would be when she arrives. Bill is quite the mountain man and tries to help Ayla by giving her a place to stay while they fix up her aunts cottage. This story was written well and had a bit of suspense in there too.

ARC: Voluntarily read and Honestly Reviewed.

Ayla was one lucky woman. I started reading and couldn’t stop reading this book. The big Seattle city girl was planning on making a life in Alaska. Meeting Bill was the one bright spot in her cold life. He doesn’t waste time in warming her up, which quickly becomes the bright spot in her days and nights.

This story was saucy, sexy and hot. Read this story. You will enjoy it very much.

Read this book as part of the bundle... This is a nice book to enjoy for a quiet afternoon with a little spice. Ayla and Bill are so cute together and their chemistry is wow. A little insta-lust/love in here but it's all good. Bill fell rather fast for Ayla but that's ok. He did so much for her, and Ayla learned what she needed to know to live in Nome. Wish we saw that though. It would've added more depth to her character.

A MOUNTAIN MAN’S DREAM

Alaska is not the place for the fainthearted. Enter Bill, a mountain man, who helps Ayla, a city woman, who has sold everything that she owns and moves to a cabin in Alaska, sight unseen. She is rescued from the freezing cold and nature takes its course. Being the only woman on the mountain leads to exciting and scary circumstances because of her beauty.
