New wife. New armor. New gun. New a-holes to kill.
When Adam learns that the yakuza betrayed him, he’ll return to Ganymede to rescue his mom and extract the kind of vengeance only a badass weretiger space marine can.
Blood will flow, cars will explode, and the tiger will feed on the screams of his dying enemies.
The author is changing dynamic with a more assertive Adam, the actions got better. The relationship with Shivaha, was kinda cute too. This is what space opera is about, so much drama, love, and adventures. There is a bit of philosophy thrown in about oath breakers and karma.
This book (and series) is a jaw-punching, fist-pounding, no-holds-barred, action movie aimed at your head, heart, and groin. It smells like a sports gym combined with a bordello and a shooting range. The characters are so strong that they’re almost (?) idealized. However, if you think that the plot below all the dripping blood, sweat, and other bodily fluids is just a simple action serial, then think again. There are layers and subtleties to be found here; strengths and weaknesses, fears and dramas, true love and passion, honor and dominance. All of which is combined in a science fiction genre with fantasy and horror elements.
This book in particular brings us to a point in the climb where we can take a moment to enjoy the location and the view. Heck, we can even appreciate the climb. We even get an idea of where we’re heading, if not the details involved. At the same time we’re being prepared for gouts and eruptions of action yet to come, and it makes me giddy with anticipation.
If you’ve followed the series thus far, then you’re going to love this book. If you haven’t read any of them as yet, here’s a great opportunity to climb aboard. I’m about ready to re-read the series just to get back to this point. You know, before it all gets seriously crazy.
Stellar as always, huge fan of this author and many of his books.. another hugely entertaining series and another favorite. Thank you Micheal Scott Earle. Keep em’ coming!
This was a really good entry in the series it feels like the author is slowly letting our tiger man be the happy man-eating tiger-man that he was always meant to be.
After the last book in the series I was thinking I'd never read another. I just found it incredibly annoying. Didn't advance the story much and the number of women the guy was "married" to was just insane and that was at something like 5. This one jumped that number over a 1000 and I almost didn't make it through the first chapter. But damned if it didn't get better after the first half of the book. But when a book gets this much about subjugating strong women even having it your reading list can be dangerous and I don't find that aspect of the book interesting, entertaining, or titillating. It is annoying and more than mildly upsetting and that isn't my kind of entertainment. However, after I was half way through the book there were some decent battles, the sex was pulled back to a more reasonable cadence (I still mostly skimmed it) and I now find I'm looking forward to the next book. I'd typically give this three stars but I'm throwing in a fourth because I'm back in the series. I'd skip book 8 though. As a side note, and maybe I'm a prude, but one partner is sufficient. 2 would be problematic (I'd feel I was always out of the loop) and more than 2 and it'd like being the only one in a club not qualified to be in that club. I'd be pretty convinced I'd be outvoted every time (come to think of it, that'd happen at 2...)
Adam has now reunited his family and discovered his true nature. But knowledge does not bring peace to the soul nor freedom. Guilt and obligation still weigh heavily on Adam and self-doubt continues. While around him the women solidify into a formidable shield and the rock of his universe. Lu continues to elude his mental grasp even though his physical being remains in Adam's custody. But Yu continues to drive his wedge between Adam and Eve to the point that Eve finally loses her temper if just for a second her vampire nature takes control. Zea continues to struggle with her own demons and low self image drives her to seek the Vanish road with Eve, and the twins. The Tiger has begun to assert himself in Adam's decisions as frequently might makes right over conscience. But will it all come to the desired end? Oonly Michael knows, or does he?
Queen of Hearts has more of what fans love about the series- nonstop action and tough, hot women. Adam embraces his inner tiger, following some questionable advise from a slippery ally, and as a result, he does a lot more killing first and asking questions later. This is the ninth book in the series, and you're best off reading them all. If you read and loved the other eight, you know what to expect, and you'll love this one too. If you are starting with this book, you can probably figure things out eventually.
Contains graphic violence and not as graphic sex scenes.
I enjoy the fast pace of this series and the 9th book continues they trend.
This book seems to be shifting the focus of the series from the small scale to the larger universe. The Dragon character introduced in the last book takes on a more prophetic role, offering wisdom/advice to Tiger.
Sivaha finally comes into her own in the book and resolves a number of the outstanding issues with her plot line.
The downside, no Juliette or advancement with her story arc. Nikki is clearing running on empty being the main and only pilot!
If there are many more wives, mistresses, lovers, faithful minions or whatever else shows up, I am going to need a scorecard to keep up with everyone. Actually, Adam is going to need that scorecard! This large number of women is beginning to be absurd. That being said, I will continue to buy the Star Justice series because they are a lazy, entertaining way to break the tedium of daily life.
Sihava is another Nord Queen. She is beautiful and has an Aegis which magnifies her sex appeal among other things. She can talk men into doing exactly as she wishes.......except for Adam! Adam is on a mission to save his mother and Sihava persuades him to take her with him. Boy oh boy, this is one tough woman! As usual Adam defeats all who challenge him. Another action (and sex) packed story in Adam's saga. Lots of fun too. Definitely 18+!
The pieces are now largely placed on the gameboard and the petty stuff is done and gone. The large scale battle for peace and justice is staged. It will be interesting to see if the tiger can handle large units as well as automatic shotguns! This is the point where most first-person authors disappear; not everyone is an Orson Scott Card. We shall see.
I find these stories interesting but many elements seem ill considered. Why Adam continues to listen to the Dragon when he is being such an a-hole are beyond me. Also he can't control his temper/libido for more than 10 minutes no matter what is going on. You think after so much combat and fighting he wouldn't need to describe what every bullet does every time he shoots someone or bashes them with something.
It's like the author saw the light. Best book of a series that I had almost given up on. My feeling is that it comes down to the characters being proactive instaed of reacting. It made the action scenes exciting and gave Adam a sence of competency that was missing from the other books.
The list of characters, (allies, enemies and friendemies (?))continues to get longer. Adam is beginning to see his purpose and growing into it, as a hero, leader and lover. It's nice that he is beginning to see that the women around him are in love/lust with him because of both his masculinity and his concern for each of them. A great story continues to get better.
I could barely put it down to eat or sleep. The characters and storyline have evolved so well and much over the 9 books. I can hardly wait to see what comes next with Adam uniting the Clans and the girls going thru the rite. Lee doing what your doing Mike and you know I don't give 5 Star's out much.
Adam has experienced some major upheavals lately, but he manages to tie up several loose ends in this book. Sivaha graces the cover this time and her adventure alongside her husband has made her one of my favorite characters in the series. With more backstory and SAVO related dreams, MSE keeps building up the plot.
I’ve enjoyed each book, but as the story progresses I’ve liked each subsequent book even more. Sivaha really develops into a great wife. Although I was skeptical about her at first, she’s definitely grown on me.
Full of action, huge battles or private ones, this edition is a great enhancement to the storyline and envelops the characters even more. I can't wait for the next book to see how it develops
Another incredible book by Michael-Scott Earle, in which we begin to understand about Adam and his unique heritage. Awesome characters, mind-blowing action, incredible book all over!
MSE you have written another great adventure for your tiger man and his harem. I worry about his sister but we are just getting to know her and we will learn what her part in this saga is. Above all thank you for another great story.
This series doesn't fail to in bringing action and adventure. The story only gets bigger and better. The hero is one of the best MC I have ever read. I only hope that everyone gets a chance to read it.
I always read his books way to fast. I'm a fast reader in general but this story line doubles the speed because I don't want to set it down. However life gets in the way. Lol
Great action space opera harom space novel keep them coming some scenes can be very graphic.but great story line. Looking forward to seeing the next installment.
Not so into the whole harem thing but this series has plenty more to offer. Fun, exciting action, interesting plot, decent characters. Weretiger in space, what more is there to say?
I enjoyed this book a lot. I like the direction the series is taking and can't wait for the next book. The character development was good and helped advance the series
Fast action throughout and full of beautiful tough women. At the end of the 2nd book i -was- saddened that this might be a llllooong series. Every book seems to get Better! 😄
Wow! Nine books and they keep getting better...this is the best one yet.
Non-stop action combined with multi-faceted characters that you call in love with. It's not great literature but it is great reading fun. Highly recommend
Every time I pick up one of the books in this series I know I'm going to have a good time. Gratuitous violence, blowing s**t up, harem of hot space babes. And no typos. That's a win.
This continuing series of stories is fantastic and never disappoints me. The action is great, the plot is very good and the characters are well thought. Can’t wait for the next one.
Adam goes to get his Mother and kills the yakuza that were supposed to take care of them while he was in prison. He is now heading back to unite the clans!!! More please more!!!
