Alex couldn’t understand why no girl would date him. Rebecca after receiving numerous text told him to leave her alone. During lunch time he grabs her with a gun, Mia walking to her car after her appointment, sees what is happening. The teacher instinct thinking she could talk him into laying the gun down while back up came. The kid was African American, a noise startle him, and shots fired, Kendra is unharmed, video has most on tape. The outcome being Mia is white, seven months pregnant and wife of the sheriff, They become a target, by someone wanting revenge and the media. Fast action with an unusual ending. ,

Fast paced, and hard to put down. Extra fun seeing character's named for our friends in Oxnard where Mr. Keith served on the police department for many years.

A real look at police involved shootings
We watch the news and learn about shootings but we never see it from the officer’s point of view. Our hearts reach out to the families of the victims but it can be hard to distinguish who the victim is. Is it the police officer or the person shot. Was it justified or as seems more often was there the need for shots to be fired. It’s a gripping story and one I’ll add to my “like” list.

A few days pass, through lifetimes......
An excellent read with good views from "both sides" of the coin. The autnor keeps your attention. There is good insight to police work, and what they face in today's times. Well worth the time!
