An interesting set of stories. Alex and Elinor stories were interesting but I thought Belinda was a bit of a drama queen and Cole was not a strong alpha. The stories were interesting but their characters needed more depth and less whining.
I really really hate giving such a low rating to a set of books that I could only get thru 9-10 chapters on the 1st book but the h seemed more like a harpy or a shrew or just a plain old garden variety Biatch or beyotch than a vixen mate to a vulpine/fox shifter .... When the book 1st starts I find myself having sympathy for this hard-working young woman who seems to have a real jerk of a boss she’s having to deal with, along deadlines she’s looking she’s going to miss because of hard to deal with reclusive artist..... But all that changed after said Artist ,who turns to be her mate and a fox shifter saves her life and she is rude and almost annoyingly ungrateful to him even after discovering he’s a shifter after saving her life from the attack of two other shifters, she’s a complete and total horses rear towards him feeling as if since he was rude to her when the 1st net she’s not allowed to act how ever she wants because he’s forever a jerk not because of how he acted that one time ... Even though she’s not more in the wrong then he after storing his priceless paintings in her closet not the gallery ( where they should be) ( thus endangering her life in the first place, and then proceeding to drink two bottles of wine w/her roommate , while she whined about what a jerk the artist/Ryan is... Sines he’s considered a jerk it’s ok to lie him, about her own art work and just be a general obstinate beyotch to him... I can’t stand a heroine who uses lame excuses like that to be hard headed and hearted and just plain stupid.... She takes all the shifter stuff in stride but being to her even once seems unforgivable .... I just couldn’t suffer thru that kinda behavior, the kind where the hs tips and stubborn just because she can be ... No thanks .. Maybe ,maybe the story is well written but the heroine isn’t in my opinion, not when all I want to do is smack some sense into her... Please feel free to ignore my opinion, I just needed to get this out soo I can move on.... Off to delete...
This was a dollar deal on Amazon - 6 novels for $1.06 (with tax).
Three of the stories are about fox shifters. Alex & Ryan. These are the stories you should read first. Alex helps Ryan, a fox shifter artist to defeat a rogue wolf shifter who has banded several different species of shifters to create a new world order.
The next 2 are about a dead rock star & the lawyer who helps bring him back to life. Elinor & Eric.
The next 2 are about raven shifters - bran. It turns out raven shifters are slaves. Belinda sees an injured raven in a park & tries to help him. It turns out to be raven shifter, Cole. He's trying to escape an evil master.
So, while these stories had some interesting events, ultimately, it was only a 3 star read.
Rating for first three stories only. Artist Ryan and art gallery curator Alex make a great couple. Their love blooms as they fight to stop a maniacal wolf shifter and his pack of random animal changelings from taking over England. Along the way secrets are revealed and old hurts healed. I was excited to read this collection when I started but was really glad to get to the finish line today. Great writing generally but the editing needs work. I turned back pages more than once when things didn't seem right. I'll get to the others later.
DNF. Not for me. The sample started of ok, but as soon as I bought it, it all went down hill for me. The main female character got on my nerves. I somehow made it through the first book. I found the story very corny, I hated the characters and didn't like the writing style. However it might be me and not the book so try it for yourself.
These are some seriously hot shifters, some extremely bad baddies, a lot of fighting and a lot of seriously hot bedroom action. Sign me up and throw away the key, I want some of what she's having, make that a double shot.
That an absolutely amazing series of books. Positively fantastic and I loved each and every one. This author is brilliant and I will read anything she writes. Such an amazing imagination.
I had read part one ages ago after reading the shortened version in a box set. I enjoyed part one and I am still reading this but struggling as I found the heroines behaviour in part two unreasonable and unbelievable. Getting to end of part three and it has improved. Will add to review if I read on after that part. actually forgot to finish these till now. Okay, the other four books are divided into two about bringing a dead person back to life and the last two are about raven shifters and how to get one away from an evil master. Enjoyable enough but 3 stars overall.
