Thrill packed action adventure of a woman of a certain age!

I enjoyed Jen’s journey! It is a great start to the series. I believe the middle aged woman is underserved in the entertainment industry, so I am glad to read about women that I can relate to! Kudos Pamela Winn for a story well told! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series! Keep them coming!

PERSPECTIVES JEN’S JOURNEYS BOOK 1

Jennifer Becker is a 58-year-old widow after her husband succumbed to a heart-attack. After 2 years of mourning and just getting by, Jen decides it’s time to start living again and embarks an adventure much to her children’s chagrin. She buys an RV and goes off exploring with her camera. Parked at a National Park, Jen sees beauty all around her and captures it on film. Unfortunately, there are things that cannot be unseen when she stumbles across a murder scene. The author kicks the action and suspense up a notch and the reader will not be disappointed with the twists and turns in the thrilling plot. I thoroughly enjoyed Perspectives, PS Winns latest offering and I can’t wait to read more about Jennifer Becker in future stories. I gave Perspectives 5 gold Nikons for suspenseful storytelling.

Following Our Dreams
Jen, a fairly recent widow, mother of two and grandmother of two, retires from her job in June. Now free to follow her dreams she buys a small RV and sets off to explore her country. Always interested in photography, she eagerly familiarizes herself with the still-unused professional camera her late husband purchased for her before his demise. Her first stop is a National Park. On one of her earliest picture-taking excursions she comes across the body of a dead young woman and instantly her peaceful vacation escalates into a murder mystery she finds herself in the middle of. I am not going to spoil your read with any more clues, but just add that this is a great story that you will have difficulty putting down.

Excellent thriller of an old widow who goes out to live her life after recovering from the death of her old man. What happens when she goes to the national park is to be read and found out. Excellent novel to read on lunch breaks. Loved it.

A crime story? A romance? Possibly something else? I'm not sure what classification to give this one. For once the protagonist isn't young or in perfect condition. I can relate to a past middle aged woman in decent health, but with the problems most of us will encounter as we age. Perspectives is more realistic than many novels, with believable characters. People, including the protagonist, make mistakes, but reasonable ones, not the displays of total idiocy seen in some fiction. The antagonist is disgusting, but certainly no supervillain, and, unfortunately, quite believable. There is nothing fantastic about the story, and I'm sure P.S. Winn didn't intend for there to be. It is simply a good, solid, novel, and hopefully the other books in the series will be as good.

P.S. Winn is visionary. By that, I mean that her mind is an open floodgate, she doesn't say 'no' to the possibility of anything - and it reflects in her work.

While many of her pieces are about 'journeys,' it usually means at a spiritual level, involving some kind of an awakening. In Perspectives, our protagonist is Jen, a middle-aged mother of grown children. Jen lost her husband and though some time has passed, she decides that its time to start the second chapter in her life. A life as a single -- albeit strong -- woman.

Perspectives is also about journies - both, figuratively, and literally. Jen buys a motorhome and wants to travel while her health allows. When she decides to spend some time at a national park, she is quickly caught up in a life-changing drama of horror!

For this reader, the underlying story told in Perspectives is more about family and the deeply bonded connections we have to those we love. It reminds us that because tragedy can come into our lives at any time, we should keep those we love under the best of terms.

What a superb read. Just like another reviewer, I thought I could read this story little bit by little bit, but that was impossible. It was just too compelling a tale to put down. Brilliantly constructed with an absorbing plot. I can do nothing else than award this latest P.S. Winn entertaining novel a full set of stars. Thank you, P.S.

This is a short, fast reading book. It is a story of a woman who has lost her husband of 38 years, has children and grandchildren she loves, but needs to have some adventure and LIFE of her own. She finds adventure in going to a wonderful park with spectacular views, animal life which is very photogenic, and meeting a man with whom she strikes up a relationship. The man, a law enforcement officer, comes along in a scenario in which she discovers a body. I won't tell you more about this scenario, its continuation or ending because to do so would spoil the book for you. You will have to read for yourself to find out more. Be sure to do so because this one is well worth the time and effort. A really good fast read with deep morals you will fathom easily.

This is a book that includes murder, mystery and a touch of romance with the journey Jen has decided to take. Readers get to follow along on the journey as Jen decides to change her life by traveling alone in an Rv, leaving family and friends behind. The book is also one of discovery as Jen learns about herself, especially after she finds a dead body and forced into hiding. This is an adventure story that fits many genres and readers will be glad to know it is going to be a stand alone, yet related series.
