The cross is central to our Christianity. Yet typically, the ‘getting back to the cross’ message is presented as a morbid, solemn experience of deep reflection, remorse and sorrow—but there is much more to the cross that we realise. The cross presents us with the singularly most powerful and enormous work of God in the earth. To get back to the cross, is to get back to an amazing life, based on the death and resurrection of Jesus, rather than the efforts of man.
