This book was okay . I could not put it down once I started reading it. I had to see what happened next. They had so many obstacles to get through to see if it was worth it. I recommend this book to others.
I enjoyed this short book about Hannah and Duane. I liked the elements of lust and suspense in the story. The end was a little abrupt, it would have been nice to learn a little bit more about this couple in an epilogue.
This is a quick read so if you want to get to know the ins and outs of your main characters it wont happen here.
I never took to Hanna, the main female character. She spent one night at this strangers place and she’s checking his messages while he’s sleeping. Trustworthy much? I don’t think so.
Duane Stevens is no better. A serial liar but Hanna seems to accept the weird lies he comes up with.
Scott, Ive read novellas that have some background and depth, sadly this has neither. Make the storyline a little bit more believable, add a bit of flesh to the character’s themselves and you can still keep it to a novella you will and your readers will enjoy.
When Hannah is saved from an attack on the street by a stranger she's sure she'll never see him again. Yet he shows up the next night at the bar where she works. When her life is in danger again he whisks her away. There's more, but I won't spoil it and share it.
It was an okay book. It would've been so much better if it had been longer and better explained. You're kinda left wondering if he's in the Mafia or something and you're left wondering just what her Dad did for a living. Not sure I believed Duane's explanations for everything.
A insta-love of sorts. When a down on her luck waitress stumbled upon a bad situation with dangerous people. No where to turn she fears for her safety. Until a stranger came from nowhere and saved her. Chemistry was there instantly and it couldn't be denied. The attraction was magnetic and they couldn't stop it. Trouble still after them he wisks her away to safety but his secrets too follows them and throws a twist there way.
It's a suspenseful quick read and will keep your eyes glued to the pages.
You have the drama, the mystery, and plenty of suspense. What's better than knowing that chemistry at first sight is right there in front of your eyes. Is it really so simple to fall in love with somebody went on to seeing them just once? The mystery that surrounds this couple is unlike any I have ever read and I love it the only thing I hate is that it was just so short hence the four star but I still like the story, give it a read.
This story is different from any other books I read so far. This is my second time reading from this author and he did a great job. His writing flows throughout the book with no errors. The characters were and unexpected. The story is a little complex but came together at the end. Great work again Scott Wylder!
Wow loved this chemistry between the characters and brilliant story line bad boy saves girl who wants to turn is life around for her but he has a secret that he can’t tell her yet
LOVE this book! Short story but packed full. This story has lust, love, suspense. Love the chemistry between Duane and Hannah. Duane saves Hannah when she runs into trouble walking home from work, and the adventure begins... Scott Wylder does a great job with the characters and story-line,
Good but probably too fast paced. It ended very abruptly with me still questioning some things. I also get taken out of the moment by implausible things and missing details. You can’t just jump in a helicopter and take off…did they even have clothes on?
3.5 stars for this story - my third by this author. I enjoyed it more than the other books as it was longer, went into more depth in the story and had more heat, but again, finished abruptly. I was hoping for more of an ending.
Hanna has had a rough night at the bar and life in general, until she meets Duane who rescues her from his foster care stretchy brother. They are great together but he is keeping a secret. I enjoyed their passion and HEA.
I didn't care for any of the characters... there are way more questions than answers, and the end was... dissapointing. She's crazy, and not in a good way, and he seems to be a pathological liar.
A good storyline and characters that will leave you wanting more. I enjoyed this book and thought the author did a great job writing this book. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
