From the very beginning of the story, you're thrown into a fully developed world that dances around the edges, lurking behind the characters, and creating a scenario that is rich, engaging, and highly entertaining. Licorice is an intriguing character, on the surface distant but hiding a truly passionate and curious personality that has been worn down over time. I would definitely read more about this world, and loved this little glimpse!
