Why isn’t your coaching business thriving? Why are you feeling so damn stuck?!
This book is the missing link to turning your calling into a thriving business. What would it be like to finally understand why you’re not making money and to know how to stop doubting yourself? You can become a wildly successful coach on your own terms.
It’s time to stop asking, “Who the f*ck am I to do this work?!”
I’ve shown hundreds of warrior coaches how to serve clients, make a difference, and make a living – all while staying true to themselves. I’ve built a successful and profitable coaching business without torturing myself or following someone else’s blueprint, and so can you. Your future clients are counting on you!
In this book, you’ll learn:
Why many new coaches fail to create a sustainable and profitable business. The inside-out approach to finding and enrolling clients who are dying to work with you. How to price your coaching in a way that is abundant, sustainable, and honorable. Why joy, inspiration, and grace are critical to your business strategy. How to step courageously into the coach you were born to be… right now!
This is a wonderful and compelling book, not just for coaching but for our lives. Having the strength, faith, and grace to pursue what is really in our hearts is vital for all of us. Thanks for an amazing book!
A solid book for identifying limitations of fear and imposter syndrome - and the author really puts her heart into it. Just not a lot of meat on the bones.
For anyone who thinks because of the title and the perhaps 5-10 swears in the book that it might not be for them, you might be surprised to find that she is heavily spiritually inclined, and ends the book with a very powerful prayer.
Fortunately for me, I happen to be a heavily spiritual and prayerful person who also uses the swears. I am also someone just about to take the leap into coaching and I agreed with every word she had on the subject, so I was her exact target demographic for this.
Agreeing so thoroughly with her doesn't mean though, that I learned nothing. On the contrary, every question she asks in the book, I stopped and wrote answers to, right as I was reading it. I learned so much. I've been reading everything I can online and signing up for a bunch of help from other coaches about "how to find my niche" and still coming up vague. I answered her questions about it in the book and BOOM I found my damn niche inside of 20 minutes. I know who my ideal client is now. I kept sitting up and writing down things she said in my business notebook because WOW that resonated and I want to keep it with me.
This tiny little one-afternoon-read book is GOLDEN. I'm keeping it.
I'm not entirely sure, to be honest. I have no intention on ever becoming a life coach. Furthermore, I'm not a woman (or at least I wasn't the last time I checked). So, I wasn't the intended demographic for this book.
However, I thought it looked like an interesting read and I picked it up on the Kindle store. I feel you can glean something from every book, regardless of what the content is, and this was no different.
Overall, this is an inspirational book for those who want to become a life coach or improve their current business. Most of the book is centered on motivating the reader to take action, sprinkled with advice on being a successful entrepreneur. I like these types of books and won't wag my finger at an author trying to kick the reader's butts into doing great work. At times, it did feel a bit "woo woo" for me, but again I'm not really the targeted demographic for this book.
If you're a lady, interested in coaching, and want a quick read to get some practical advice (and a lot of motivation) in getting started, this is a book for you.
This book is a quick, motivating read with solid reminders of why I chose to be a coach in the first place—why I’m willing to put myself out there and serve the women who truly need me. Megan Jo Wilson does a great job of addressing the fears and doubts that come up when stepping into this role, and her writing has a direct, no-nonsense style that makes it easy to digest.
There is a fair amount of discussion about God, which could have been a turn-off for me as a former believer. However, I found it easy enough to either take what resonated or skim over those parts without losing the overall message. The core of the book is about owning your voice, stepping into your purpose, and getting out of your own way—all things every coach needs to hear at some point (or multiple points) on their journey.
Overall, I’d recommend this to any new coach struggling with self-doubt or the fear of putting themselves out there. It’s a great little confidence boost when you need a push to keep going.
I’m a student coach struggling with all the usual challenges about setting up a coaching business at some point in the future. I was stuck in “Do I need to find a niche? What’s my niche going to be?”
Reading the chapter on who you’re going to serve, it came to me! Would I have come to that same thought without the book? Maybe. Eventually. But when I read the chapter on Service, it was like a light bulb being switched on - thank you Megan Jo!
The rest of the book is great too - there are some great descriptions of coaching techniques that I’ll use (I love ‘stepping into’ a feeling). And the way each chapter ends with a section on ‘Make it Real’ makes this really practical.
If you’re just starting your coaching journey, read this book!
I have flirted with the idea of being a coach for most of a whole year and never committed to it for reasons I could never pin down until I read this book. It didn’t have any insights I hadn’t heard before (often multiple times), but there was something about the way she wrote the book that made me stop and think through what I was and was not doing. It may well be that unlike most other, similar works, classes, or online content, She genuinely cares for the reader, as well as all the people she’s touched with her own programs. An amazing, amazing book.
While I am not the target audience, I knew this book was what I was looking for. I am returning to my career of automotive sales and I’ve switched from domestic to high-line/luxury which is causing me so much imposter syndrome and anxiety. Megan reminded me to remember my why (I’m only back in sales to earn enough to be debt free within one year) and my why is stronger than every deal I don’t close, every sideway look, every doubt, etc.
There are many books out there about the "what" and "how to" of being a coach. This book deals with the "why". It motivates and challenges/tests your ambition/dreams at the same time. It brings in prayer, which I love but might be a turn off to some, because it's talking to the inner desire to be an "in touch" coach. Enjoyed it and found it very down to earth. Will probably read again.
I truly believe grace guides my life. I have been focusing on my niche and it just isn’t right. It has had me in a funk. Then this book shows up for me. And there are great things to practice and gain clarity and confidence. I highly recommend this as you are starting a business to guide you from your soul and get out of your fears. This applies to more than being a coach.
Brilliantly inspiring. If you’re a coach, want to be a coach, or in the business of inspiring people, this book is for you. Rich in inspiration, wisdom, and as the title suggests, a no-fluff approach to mastering mindset. I was wildly inspired by this book, to fear not what others think of me, to believe whole-heartedly in what I do, to trust the right people will come, to believe that what I do is important work. A great & necessary read!
I recommend this book to anyone considering becoming a life coach. This book answering a lot of my questions and spoke to all of my fears and concerns about becoming a life coach. Very inspirational and informative book. It is a quick and easy read. I’m both inspired and excited for my future as a coach!
Really well written book that motivates and gives you the courage to start from where you are right now and help others with the value and service that you can offer right now.
Some actionable steps to put into action a plan of attack would've given it a 5 star rating.
Unlike the other books I have read on coaching, Megan’s was very helpful for me, the newbie coach. Her encouragement, candidness, and transparency was refreshing. Her tips were helpful. I felt like she was my cheerleader! Thanks Megan—I needed that shot in the arm.
I'm not a life coach, it's something I was only considering, but after reading this I feel inspired to purse that path. A great quick read for anybody who is one or also considering it. It was frank but motivating. I'll definitely be checking out more work from this author.
This book is exactly what a new or seasoned coach needs to get focused and find inspiration along the journey to coaching. It provides so much insight of the highs and lows a coach may face while encouraging you to stay the path you were called to do and find passion while doing so.
I enjoyed reading this book for anyone whom wants to become a coach, both personal or business coach. A very simple easy to read and learn from with some amazing coaching mentoring guidance tips. Overall a great read of a book. Best wishes Sean
This book allowed me to extract some valuable and potentially life-changing points. It brought me perspective and some clarity of the ins and outs of running a successful life coaching business.
I appreciated the candor. I have been gifted to help...all my life. It is what brings me joy. When I see/feel that light go on, that bomb explode with possibility, I’m at peace.
Some interesting bits such as defining your ideal client but way too much emphasis on spirituality for my liking. Not enough substance to make this a book worth reading for me.
I'd recommend this book to anyone starting out in coaching. She adds a lot humour and her personality to writing making it a fun read. I enjoyed this book and it's quick and easy read.
Great read on becoming a coach. I enjoyed reading about gratitude. I have to say being grateful for the things we have changes our world map. It a great book for any inspiring coaches or trainers.
The book got me my confidence to look within for my true purpose to go forward in helping mom's like me see their full potential. Love her spiritual leadership!
This book seemed to know exactly how I felt & what I think as I begin my journey in building my coaching! The author inspired me & also helped me believe how possible it is for me to follow my hearts desire to help others. Thank you!!
I LOVE this book… very motivating and inspiring… easy to read and being a shorter book, it was a quick afternoon read. New inspiration in these words! Recommend!
