I don’t write reviews but since I saw none for this book I’m going to recommend it it has a bit of fluff for a business book but I think that made it easier to read and more enjoyable as a book. It ties business - customer service and management primarily- to the martial art of Kyodo Archery and the Zen behind it. As most management books it is more about reinforcing what you already (should) know and tying it to the sport of Kyodo Archery. It’s a fast read and worthwhile especially if you do a Zen sport like Archery, karate or fencing and if you don’t you should at least try one.

I’ve just finished ‘Target: Business wisdom from the ancient Japanese martial art of Kyudo’. I’m very happy because this is the first time for me to finish a book written in English for adults.
I’m a Kyudo archer like the author, and I’m practicing it regularly in order to improve myself. But I haven’t thought about using the Kyudo teachings in real life, especially in the modern business world. His way of thinking is amazing. As a Kyudo archer, I assure that the explanations about Kyudo in this book are precise and thorough.
I recommend this book to those who are interested in ancient Japanese martial arts and those who are struggling their business.
