I am not a fan of books that are based on wars, however I found the book on Dunkirk to be engaging because the author kept mainly to facts. Even though because of the straightforward way the book was written, it could have easily become one of those books that are boring and dry. That was not the case here. It was concise, engaging, gave a very precise count of people, and did not add any extraneous, and non essential facts and figures.
