Ouch. Baby’s mouth feels funny. Something is happening, and it’s not just that a puddle of drool keeps escaping. There it is — a new tooth! And where there’s one, there are soon to be more. From discovering what’s good to bite (and what’s not) to mastering the art of the toothbrush, Baby’s dental adventure is sure to give little teething buddies something to chew on.

The few Patricelli books we've read have all been hits with Rowan. They're direct, fun, accessible, and everyone learns stuff. Rowan really loves all the tooth drool. And then he channels his Ponyo voice to yell "TEEEEEETH!" Always good. The extra bonus are the colored backgrounds on each page for him to also practice his colors. All around success!
Baby's mouth feels funny, there is a new tooth. Baby learns what is good to bite and what is not and how to use a toothbrush. Brightly colored illustrations using pastel art make this a favorite book for babies and toddlers. A great addition to the Leslie Patricelli line.
Starring Baby from Leslie Patricelli's acclaimed and bestselling series of board books (Hair, Toot, No No Yes Yes and many more), Tooth and Big Kid Bed take Baby and readers along for some new surprises and adventures. As Tooth begins, Baby, with eyes open wide and hands over their mouth, states: "My mouth feels funny. Something is happening!". A small waterfall of drool spilling out of Baby's mouth is followed by a wider than wide open mouth, and readers soon find out that Baby is getting a tooth! But wait! Not just one tooth- another one! And two more after that! Patricelli's depictions of Baby getting their teeth is so fantastic and funny in how spot-on she captures, through effortless text and condensed depiction, the essence of the experience. After showing off their four "shiny and white" teeth, Baby takes us through what they can do with their teeth, what not to do with teeth, and importantly, how to take good care of teeth with proper dental hygiene (with some help from adults). My four year old has been watching her little brother go through the teething process and is especially having a blast with all of us reading Tooth together ("That's just like my baby brother! Look at all that drool, Mommy!").

We're so proud of you for reading "Tooth"! What a wonderful book about growing up and change. You learned that losing your baby teeth is totally normal and exciting – it means you're becoming bigger and stronger! When something new happens to you, like losing a tooth or trying something different, remember it's just part of growing. Keep brushing those teeth twice every day, sweetie. You're doing amazing, and we love watching you become such a great reader!

Patricellin kirja kertoo vauvasta, joka saa hampaita. Alle vuoden ikäistä kiinnosti erityisesti kuva, jossa vauva esittelee upouutta hammasta suu ammollaan.
The newest (2018) addition to the series does not disappoint. Characteristic good humor and lessons inside the adventures of teeth growing. My wee ones love her books.
