When the most powerful demon on earth falls in love with a human angel burgeoning into the most powerful good—kaboom!
When people call for help, Angels come. When people call for chaos, Tazmarks (vampire-like, time-bending beings with dragon genetics) grant their wish. In that, Johnny reigns supreme. After nine hundred years of wreaking chaos and causing calamity in the world, he has finally met his match. Worlds collide when, out of sheer boredom, he is compelled to play guardian devil to an endangered earthbound angel whose powers could burn him to oblivion.
Confusing matters are the changes they incite in each other, and a magnetic attraction neither of them want. Given their antithetical natures, this triggers a chain reaction of unexpected events. In this, they begin to pioneer a change in natural law that will eventually affect the whole earth and beyond into the universe.
In the normal daily routine of life there’s been an on-going conflict raging between diametrically opposed forces affect the entire human race, namely the forces of good and evil. While either one would rather be around without the ever-present existence of the other, they both need each other so they can do precisely that, exist. While some humans in order to live continuously in peace and harmony might from time to time call on assistance from a higher authority and in return have angels arriving on the scene; and when other humans in order to see nothing less than pandemonium and misery on everyone else Tazmarks answer their call. What happens when the most powerful of them gets wearied from being deprived of having any new opportunities to do his dastardly handiworks. This is precisely what’s confronting johnny after 900 years of his existence. And just like humans having their guardian angels, he feels that he needs to become a sort of guardian devil for his sweet-hearted counterpart, a Shen. The individual he’s chosen for this is Jenséa, who considers herself as being a regular human, a regular human, and who for some inexplicable reason has an urge in painting cruelly brutal images.in contrast to the person she is. Jenséa, is totally unaware of what she truly is and the awesome powers she possesses. It’s johnny who’s placing his life into jeopardy with his desire to help teach her this; for he knows all too well that when she’s obtained this knowledge she can send him into oblivion. Yet, despite this, there’s a romantic attraction being incited between these two protagonists; and it’s a relationship which doesn’t pit each other against who/what they actually, it’s a transformational relationship for them both, a transformation relationship which has been told through the female protagonist’s POV [point of view] For giving her readers an entertaining, attention-holding romantic story, which might have the possibility of affecting not only these two individuals but perhaps the rest of humanity as well, I’ve given Ms. Kaliior and this book 5 STARS.
I made it to 62% on my kindle, I just couldn’t anymore. The idea of this book was so fantastic I was super excited to read it. Then it dragged on and on... and on. Maybe this book just wasn’t for me because I like a strong female character lead and she just wasn’t. From the 62% that I gathered she is basically an angel and everything evil is attracted to her. She’s been raped multiple times by others, her parents have died, shes an empath and feels the emotions around others and is really a basket case. She tries not to leave her little town but her friend in New York has her come up and during that time has her meet this “man” who you find out is like some evil incarnate who is attracted to her goodness. Honestly could’ve been a good book but then she keeps bringing up god and saints and divinity and I just couldn’t. Too much religious plays in this book, the. On top I scrolled to near the end and it seems like a shitty cliff-hanger ending. What a waste. Glad it was free
This book was a bit difficult to get started. The author is well versed and writes to the knowledable. It is very deep and not just a breezer. All the writing has depth. There is so much being taught about morals and perceptuon within the subtext. Instead of being sheep and just taking in what we are told, we should look deeper. This is a love story between 2 individuals whose love could be the death of them. But, they come through hell to continue on walling in the Earth realm.
I really liked the story but absolutely hated the woman. She got on my nerves, every time something happened she wanted to pray it away. Weak and cowardly. I like strong female characters. She did better toward the ending but still i wanted to slap her.
